BNV : এরপর যীশু সেই স্থান ছেড়ে যর্দন নদীর অন্য পাড়ে যিহূদিযার অঞ্চলে এলেন৷ আবার লোকরা তাঁর কাছে এল এবং তিনি তাঁর রীতি অনুসারে তাঁদের শিক্ষা দিলেন৷
KJV : And he arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of Judaea by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again.
YLT : And having risen thence, he doth come to the coasts of Judea, through the other side of the Jordan, and again do multitudes come together unto him, and, as he had been accustomed, again he was teaching them.

BNV : তখন কয়েকজন ফরীশী তাঁর কাছে এসে তাঁকে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, ‘একটি লোকের পক্ষে তার স্ত্রীকে ত্যাগ করা কি আইনত ঠিক?’ তাঁরা তাঁকে পরীক্ষা করার জন্যই এই কথা জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন৷
KJV : And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away [his] wife? tempting him.
YLT : And the Pharisees, having come near, questioned him, if it is lawful for a husband to put away a wife, tempting him,
RV : And there came unto him Pharisees, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away {cf15i his} wife? tempting him.
RSV : And Pharisees came up and in order to test him asked, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?"

ERVEN : Some Pharisees came to Jesus and tried to make him say something wrong. They asked him, "Is it right for a man to divorce his wife?"

BNV : যীশু তাদের প্রশ্নের উত্তরে বললেন ‘এই ব্যাপারে মোশি তোমাদের কি নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন?’
KJV : And he answered and said unto them, {SCJ}What did Moses command you? {SCJ.}
YLT : and he answering said to them, `What did Moses command you?`

BNV : তারা বললেন, ‘বিবাহ বিচ্ছেদ পত্র লিখে নিজের স্ত্রীকে পরিত্যাগ করবার অনুমতি মোশি দিয়েছেন৷’
KJV : And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put [her] away.
YLT : and they said, `Moses suffered to write a bill of divorce, and to put away.`
RV : And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.
RSV : They said, "Moses allowed a man to write a certificate of divorce, and to put her away."

BNV : যীশু তাঁদের বললেন, ‘তোমাদের কঠিন মনের জন্য তিনি আজ্ঞা লিখেছিলেন৷
KJV : And Jesus answered and said unto them, {SCJ}For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. {SCJ.}
YLT : And Jesus answering said to them, `For the stiffness of your heart he wrote you this command,
RV : But Jesus said unto them, For your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment.
RSV : But Jesus said to them, "For your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment.

BNV : কিন্তু সৃষ্টির প্রথম থেকেই ‘ঈশ্বর স্ত্রী পুরুষ হিসাবে তাদের তৈরী করেছেন৷’
KJV : {SCJ}But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. {SCJ.}

BNV : ‘সেইজন্যই মানুষ তার বাবা-মাকে ত্যাগ করে স্ত্রীর প্রতি আসক্ত হয়,

BNV : আর ঐ দুজন একদেহে পরিণত হয়৷’তখন তারা আর দুজন নয়, তারা এক৷

BNV : অতএব ঈশ্বর যাদের য়োগ করে দিয়েছেন, মানুষ তাদের বিচ্ছিন্ন না করুক৷’
KJV : {SCJ}What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. {SCJ.}

BNV : তারা বাড়িতে এলে শিষ্যেরা তাঁকে সেই বিষয় জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন৷

BNV : যীশু তাদের বললেন, ‘কেউ যদি নিজের স্ত্রীকে ত্যাগ করে অন্য কাউকে বিয়ে করে তবে সে তার বিরুদ্ধে ব্যভিচার করে৷
KJV : And he saith unto them, {SCJ}Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. {SCJ.}
YLT : and he saith to them, `Whoever may put away his wife, and may marry another, doth commit adultery against her;

BNV : যদি সেই স্ত্রীলোকটি নিজের স্বামীকে ত্যাগ করে আর একজনকে বিয়ে করে সেও ব্যভিচার করে৷’
KJV : {SCJ}And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery. {SCJ.}
YLT : and if a woman may put away her husband, and is married to another, she committeth adultery.`

BNV : পরে লোকরা ছোট ছোট ছেলেমেয়েদের তাঁর কাছে নিয়ে এল, য়েন তিনি তাদের স্পর্শ করেন: কিন্তু শিষ্যরা তাদের ধমক দিলেন৷
KJV : And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and [his] disciples rebuked those that brought [them. ]
YLT : And they were bringing to him children, that he might touch them, and the disciples were rebuking those bringing them,
RV : And they brought unto him little children, that he should touch them: and the disciples rebuked them.

ERVEN : People brought their small children to Jesus, so that he could lay his hands on them to bless them. But the followers told the people to stop bringing their children to him.

BNV : যীশু তা দেখে ক্রুদ্ধ হলেন এবং তাদের বললেন, ‘ছোট ছোট ছেলেমেয়েদের আমার কাছে আসতে দাও৷ তাদের বারণ করো না, কারণ এদের মত লোকদের জন্যই তো ঈশ্বরের রাজ্য৷
KJV : But when Jesus saw [it,] he was much displeased, and said unto them, {SCJ}Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. {SCJ.}
YLT : and Jesus having seen, was much displeased, and he said to them, `Suffer the children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the reign of God;
RV : But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me; forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

ERVEN : Jesus saw what happened. He did not like his followers telling the children not to come. So he said to them, "Let the little children come to me. Don't stop them, because God's kingdom belongs to people who are like these little children.

BNV : আমি তোমাদের সত্যি বলছি, কেউ যদি ছোট ছেলেমেয়েদের মন নিয়ে ঈশ্বরের রাজ্য গ্রহণ না করে, তবে সে কোনমতেই সেখানে প্রবেশ করতে পারবে না৷’
KJV : {SCJ}Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. {SCJ.}
YLT : verily I say to you, whoever may not receive the reign of God, as a child -- he may not enter into it;`
RV : Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall in no wise enter therein.
RSV : Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it."

BNV : এরপর তিনি তাদের কোলে নিলেন এবং তাদের ওপর হাত রেখে আশীর্বাদ করলেন৷
KJV : And he took them up in his arms, put [his] hands upon them, and blessed them.

BNV : পরে তিনি বেরিয়ে রাস্তা দিয়ে যাচ্ছেন, এমন সময় একজন লোক দৌড়ে এসে, তাঁর সামনে হাঁটু গেড়ে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, ‘হে সত্ গুরু, অনন্ত জীবন লাভের জন্য আমি কি করব?’
KJV : And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
YLT : And as he is going forth into the way, one having run and having kneeled to him, was questioning him, `Good teacher, what may I do, that life age-during I may inherit?`
RV : And as he was going forth into the way, there ran one to him, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?

BNV : তখন যীশু তাকে বললেন, ‘তুমি কেন আমাকে সত্ বলছ? ঈশ্বর ছাড়া আর কেউই সত্ নয়৷
KJV : And Jesus said unto him, {SCJ}Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is,] God. {SCJ.}
YLT : And Jesus said to him, `Why me dost thou call good? no one [is] good except One -- God;

BNV : তুমি তো ঈশ্বরের সব আদেশ জানো, ‘নরহত্যা কোরো না, ব্যভিচার কোরো না, চুরি কোরো না, বাবা-মাকে সম্মান কোরো৷”
KJV : {SCJ}Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. {SCJ.}
YLT : the commands thou hast known: Thou mayest not commit adultery, Thou mayest do no murder, Thou mayest not steal, Thou mayest not bear false witness, Thou mayest not defraud, Honour thy father and mother.`

BNV : লোকটি তাঁকে বলল, ‘হে গুরু, ছোটবেলা থেকে এগুলো আমি পালন করে আসছি৷’
KJV : And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.
YLT : And he answering said to him, `Teacher, all these did I keep from my youth.`
RV : And he said unto him, Master, all these things have I observed from my youth.
RSV : And he said to him, "Teacher, all these I have observed from my youth."
ASV : And he said unto him, Teacher, all these things have I observed from my youth.

ERVEN : The man said, "Teacher, I have obeyed all these commands since I was a boy."

BNV : যীশু লোকটির দিকে সস্নেহে তাকালেন এবং বললেন, ‘একটা বিষয়ে তোমার ত্রুটি আছে৷ যাও তোমার যা কিছু আছে বিক্রি কর; আর সেই অর্থ গরীবদের মধ্যে বিলিয়ে দাও, তাতে তুমি স্বর্গে ধন পাবে৷ তারপর এসে আমাকে অনুসরণ কর৷’
KJV : Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, {SCJ}One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. {SCJ.}
YLT : And Jesus having looked upon him, did love him, and said to him, `One thing thou dost lack; go away, whatever thou hast -- sell, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven, and come, be following me, having taken up the cross.`

ERVEN : Jesus looked at the man in a way that showed how much he cared for him. He said, "There is still one thing you need to do. Go and sell everything you have. Give the money to those who are poor, and you will have riches in heaven. Then come and follow me."

BNV : এই কথায় সে মর্মাহত ও দুঃখিত হল এবং ম্লান মুখে চলে গেল, কারণ তার অনেক সম্পত্তি ছিল৷
KJV : And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
YLT : And he -- gloomy at the word -- went away sorrowing, for he was having many possessions.
RV : But his countenance fell at the saying, and he went away sorrowful: for he was one that had great possessions.

ESV : Disheartened by the saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.
ERVEN : The man was upset when Jesus told him to give away his money. He didn't want to do this, because he was very rich. So he went away sad.

BNV : তখন যীশু চারদিকে তাকিয়ে শিষ্যদের বললেন, ‘যাদের ধন আছে তাদের পক্ষে ঈশ্বরের রাজ্যে প্রবেশ করা খুবই দুষ্কর!’
KJV : And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, {SCJ}How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! {SCJ.}
YLT : And Jesus having looked round, saith to his disciples, `How hardly shall they who have riches enter into the reign of God!`

BNV : শিষ্যেরা তাঁর কথা শুনে অবাক হলেন৷ যীশু আবার তাঁদের বললেন, ‘শোন, ঈশ্বরের রাজ্যে যাওযা সত্যিই কষ্টকর৷
KJV : And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, {SCJ}Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! {SCJ.}
YLT : And the disciples were astonished at his words, and Jesus again answering saith to them, `Children, how hard is it to those trusting on the riches to enter into the reign of God!
RV : And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

BNV : একজন ধনী লোকের ঈশ্বরের রাজ্যে প্রবেশ করার চেয়ে বরং সূচের ছিদ্র দিয়ে উটের যাওযা সহজ৷’
KJV : {SCJ}It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. {SCJ.}

BNV : তখন তারা আরও আশ্চর্য হয়ে নিজেদের মধ্যে বলাবলি করলেন, ‘তবে কারা উদ্ধার পেতে পারে?’
KJV : And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?
YLT : And they were astonished beyond measure, saying unto themselves, `And who is able to be saved?`
RV : And they were astonished exceedingly, saying unto him, Then who can be saved?
RSV : And they were exceedingly astonished, and said to him, "Then who can be saved?"

BNV : তখন যীশু তাদের দিকে তাকিয়ে বললেন, ‘এটা মানুষের পক্ষে অসন্ভব; কিন্তু ঈশ্বরের পক্ষে নয়, কারণ সমস্ত কিছুই ঈশ্বরের পক্ষে সন্ভব৷’
KJV : And Jesus looking upon them saith, {SCJ}With men [it is] impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. {SCJ.}

BNV : তখন সে নিজের পায়ের চাদর ফেলে দিয়ে লাফ দিয়ে উঠে যীশুর কাছে এল৷
KJV : And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
YLT : and he, having cast away his garment, having risen, did come unto Jesus.
RV : And he, casting away his garment, sprang up, and came to Jesus.
RSV : And throwing off his mantle he sprang up and came to Jesus.

ERVEN : The blind man stood up quickly. He left his coat there and went to Jesus.

KJV : And Jesus answered and said unto him, {SCJ}What wilt thou that I should do unto thee?{SCJ.} The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
YLT : And answering, Jesus saith to him, `What wilt thou I may do to thee?` and the blind man said to him, `Rabboni, that I may see again;`

RSV : And Jesus said to him, "What do you want me to do for you?" And the blind man said to him, "Master, let me receive my sight."

ERVEN : Jesus asked the man, "What do you want me to do for you?" He answered, "Teacher, I want to see again."

BNV : তখন যীশু তাকে বললেন, ‘যাও, তোমার বিশ্বাসই তোমায় সুস্থ করল৷’ সঙ্গে সঙ্গে সে দৃষ্টিশক্তি ফিরে পেল এবং রাস্তা দিয়ে যীশুর পেছন পেছন চলতে লাগল৷
KJV : And Jesus said unto him, {SCJ}Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole.{SCJ.} And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
YLT : and Jesus said to him, `Go, thy faith hath saved thee:` and immediately he saw again, and was following Jesus in the way.

ERVEN : Jesus said, "Go. You are healed because you believed." Immediately the man was able to see again. He followed Jesus down the road.
