TOV : என் கண்களோடே உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணின நான் ஒரு கன்னிகையின்மேல் நினைப்பாயிருப்பதெப்படி?
KJV : I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?
YLT : A covenant I made for mine eyes, And what -- do I attend to a virgin?
RV : I MADE a covenant with mine eyes; how then should I look upon a maid?
RSV : "I have made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I look upon a virgin?
ASV : I made a covenant with mine eyes; How then should I look upon a virgin?

ERVEN : "I made an agreement with my eyes not to look at a young woman in a way that would make me want her.

TOV : அப்பொழுது உன்னதங்களிலிருந்து தேவன் அளிக்கும் பங்கும், உன்னதத்திலிருந்து சர்வவல்லவர் கொடுக்கும் சுதந்தரமும் கிடைக்குமோ?
KJV : For what portion of God [is there] from above? and [what] inheritance of the Almighty from on high?
YLT : And what [is] the portion of God from above? And the inheritance of the Mighty from the heights?
RV : For what {cf15i is} the portion of God from above, and the heritage of the Almighty from on high?
RSV : What would be my portion from God above, and my heritage from the Almighty on high?

ERVEN : What does God above have for us? How does God All-Powerful repay people from his home high in heaven?

TOV : மாறுபாடானவனுக்கு ஆபத்தும், அக்கிரமச் செய்கைக்காரருக்கு ஆக்கினையுமல்லவோ கிடைக்கும்.
KJV : [Is] not destruction to the wicked? and a strange [punishment] to the workers of iniquity?
YLT : Is not calamity to the perverse? And strangeness to workers of iniquity?
RV : Is it not calamity to the unrighteous, and disaster to the workers of iniquity?
RSV : Does not calamity befall the unrighteous, and disaster the workers of iniquity?
ASV : Is it not calamity to the unrighteous, And disaster to the workers of iniquity?
ESV : Is not calamity for the unrighteous, and disaster for the workers of iniquity?
ERVEN : He sends trouble to the wicked and disaster to those who do wrong.

TOV : அவர் என் வழிகளைப் பார்த்து, என் நடைகளையெல்லாம் எண்ணுகிறார் அல்லவோ?
KJV : Doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?
YLT : Doth not He see my ways, And all my steps number?

ERVEN : God is the one who knows what I do and sees every step I take.

TOV : நான் மாயையிலே நடந்தேனோ, என் கால் கபடுசெய்யத் தீவிரித்ததோ என்று,

YLT : If I have walked with vanity, And my foot doth hasten to deceit,

TOV : சுமுத்திரையான தராசிலே தேவன் என்னை நிறுத்து, என் உத்தமத்தை அறிவாராக.
KJV : Let me be weighed in an even balance, that God may know mine integrity.
YLT : He doth weigh me in righteous balances, And God doth know my integrity.
RV : (Let me be weighed in an even balance, that God may know mine integrity;)
RSV : (Let me be weighed in a just balance, and let God know my integrity!)

ERVEN : If God would use accurate scales, he would know that I am innocent.

TOV : என் நடைகள் வழியைவிட்டு விலகினதும், என் இருதயம் என் கண்களைப் பின்தொடர்ந்ததும், ஏதாகிலும் ஒரு மாசு என் கைகளில் ஒட்டிக்கொண்டதும் உண்டானால்,
KJV : If my step hath turned out of the way, and mine heart walked after mine eyes, and if any blot hath cleaved to mine hands;
YLT : If my step doth turn aside from the way, And after mine eyes hath my heart gone, And to my hands cleaved hath blemish,

KJV : [Then] let me sow, and let another eat; yea, let my offspring be rooted out.
YLT : Let me sow -- and another eat, And my products let be rooted out.

TOV : என் மனம் யாதொரு ஸ்திரீயின்மேல் மயங்கி, அயலானுடைய வாசலை நான் எட்டிப்பார்த்ததுண்டானால்,
KJV : If mine heart have been deceived by a woman, or [if] I have laid wait at my neighbour’s door;
YLT : If my heart hath been enticed by woman, And by the opening of my neighbour I laid wait,

TOV : அப்பொழுது என் மனைவி வேறொருவனுக்கு மாவரைப்பாளாக; வேற்று மனிதர் அவள்மேல் சாய்வார்களாக.
KJV : [Then] let my wife grind unto another, and let others bow down upon her.
YLT : Grind to another let my wife, And over her let others bend.

KJV : For this [is] an heinous crime; yea, it [is] an iniquity [to be punished by] the judges.
YLT : For it [is] a wicked thing, and a judicial iniquity;

ERVEN : To do such a thing would be shameful, a sin that must be punished.

TOV : அது பாதாளபரியந்தம் பட்சிக்கும் அக்கினியாய் என் சம்பத்தையெல்லாம் நிர்மூலமாக்கும்.
KJV : For it [is] a fire [that] consumeth to destruction, and would root out all mine increase.
YLT : For a fire it [is], to destruction it consumeth, And among all mine increase doth take root,
RV : For it is a fire that consumeth unto Destruction, and would root out all mine increase.
RSV : for that would be a fire which consumes unto Abaddon, and it would burn to the root all my increase.
ASV : For it is a fire that consumeth unto Destruction, And would root out all mine increase.
ESV : for that would be a fire that consumes as far as Abaddon, and it would burn to the root all my increase.
ERVEN : Such sin is like a fire that burns until it destroys everything. It would completely ruin my life's work.

TOV : தேவன் எழும்பும்போது, நான் என்ன செய்வேன்; அவர் விசாரிக்கும்போது, நான் அவருக்கு என்ன மறுஉத்தரவு சொல்லுவேன்.
KJV : What then shall I do when God riseth up? and when he visiteth, what shall I answer him?
YLT : Then what do I do when God ariseth? And when He doth inspect, What do I answer Him?

TOV : தாயின் கர்ப்பத்தில் என்னை உண்டுபண்ணினவர் அவனையும் உண்டுபண்ணினார் அல்லவோ? ஒரேவிதமான கர்ப்பத்தில் எங்களை உருவாக்கினார் அல்லவோ?
KJV : Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?
YLT : Did not He that made me in the womb make him? Yea, prepare us in the womb doth One.

TOV : எளியவர்கள் வாஞ்சித்ததை நான் கொடாதிருந்து, விதவையின் கண்களைப் பூத்துப்போகப்பண்ணி,
KJV : If I have withheld the poor from [their] desire, or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail;
YLT : If I withhold from pleasure the poor, And the eyes of the widow do consume,

KJV : Or have eaten my morsel myself alone, and the fatherless hath not eaten thereof;
YLT : And I do eat my morsel by myself, And the orphan hath not eat of it,
RV : Or have eaten my morsel alone, and the fatherless hath not eaten thereof;
RSV : or have eaten my morsel alone, and the fatherless has not eaten of it

ERVEN : I have never been selfish with my food. I shared what I had with orphans.

TOV : என் சிறுவயதுமுதல் அவன் தகப்பனிடத்தில் வளர்வதுபோல என்னோடே வளர்ந்தான்; நான் என் தாயின் கர்ப்பத்திலே பிறந்ததுமுதல் அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களைக் கைலாகுகொடுத்து நடத்தினேன்.
KJV : (For from my youth he was brought up with me, as [with] a father, and I have guided her from my mother’s womb;)
YLT : (But from my youth He grew up with me as [with] a father, And from the belly of my mother I am led.)
RV : (Nay, from my youth he grew up with me as with a father, and I have been her guide from my mother-s womb;)
RSV : (for from his youth I reared him as a father, and from his mother's womb I guided him);
ASV : (Nay, from my youth he grew up with me as with a father, And her have I guided from my mothers womb);

ERVEN : All my life I have been like a father to orphans and have taken care of widows.

TOV : ஒருவன் உடுப்பில்லாததினால் மடிந்துபோகிறதையும், ஏழைக்கு மூட வஸ்திரமில்லாதிருக்கிறதையும் நான் கண்டபோது,
KJV : If I have seen any perish for want of clothing, or any poor without covering;
YLT : If I see [any] perishing without clothing, And there is no covering to the needy,
RV : If I have seen any perish for want of clothing, or that the needy had no covering;
RSV : if I have seen any one perish for lack of clothing, or a poor man without covering;

KJV : If his loins have not blessed me, and [if] he were [not] warmed with the fleece of my sheep;
YLT : If his loins have not blessed me, And from the fleece of my sheep He doth not warm himself,
RV : If his loins have not blessed me, and if he were not warmed with the fleece of my sheep;

ERVEN : I always gave them something to wear. I used the wool from my own sheep to make them warm. And they thanked me with all their heart.

TOV : ஒலிமுகவாசலில் எனக்குச் செல்வாக்கு உண்டென்று நான் கண்டு, திக்கற்றவனுக்கு விரோதமாய் என் கையை நீட்டினதும் உண்டானால்,
KJV : If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw my help in the gate:
YLT : If I have waved at the fatherless my hand, When I see in [him] the gate of my court,

KJV : [Then] let mine arm fall from my shoulder blade, and mine arm be broken from the bone.
YLT : My shoulder from its blade let fall, And mine arm from the bone be broken.
RV : Then let my shoulder fall from the shoulder blade, and mine arm be broken from the bone.
RSV : then let my shoulder blade fall from my shoulder, and let my arm be broken from its socket.

TOV : தேவன் ஆக்கினையிடுவார் என்றும், அவருடைய மகத்துவத்தை உத்தரிக்கக்கூடாது என்றும், எனக்குப் பயங்கரமாயிருந்தது.
KJV : For destruction [from] God [was] a terror to me, and by reason of his highness I could not endure.
YLT : For a dread unto me [is] calamity [from] God, And because of His excellency I am not able.
RV : For calamity from God was a terror to me, and by reason of his excellency I could do nothing.
RSV : For I was in terror of calamity from God, and I could not have faced his majesty.

ERVEN : But I didn't do any of these bad things. I fear God's punishment too much. His majesty scares me.

TOV : நான் பொன்னின்மேல் என் நம்பிக்கையை வைத்து, தங்கத்தைப்பார்த்து: நீ என் ஆதரவு என்று நான் சொன்னதும்,
KJV : If I have made gold my hope, or have said to the fine gold, [Thou art] my confidence;
YLT : If I have made gold my confidence, And to the pure gold have said, `My trust,`

RSV : "If I have made gold my trust, or called fine gold my confidence;

ERVEN : "I have never trusted in riches. I never said even to pure gold, 'You are my hope.'

TOV : என் ஆஸ்திபெரியதென்றும், என் கைக்கு மிகுதியும் கிடைத்ததென்றும் நான் மகிழ்ந்ததும்,
KJV : If I rejoiced because my wealth [was] great, and because mine hand had gotten much;
YLT : If I rejoice because great [is] my wealth, And because abundance hath my hand found,
RV : If I rejoiced because my wealth was great, and because mine hand had gotten much;
RSV : if I have rejoiced because my wealth was great, or because my hand had gotten much;

ERVEN : I have been wealthy, but that didn't make me proud. I earned a lot of money, but that is not what made me happy.

TOV : சூரியன் பிரகாசிக்கும்போதும், அல்லது சந்திரன் மகிமையாய்ச் செல்லும்போதும், நான் அதை நோக்கி:
KJV : If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking [in] brightness;
YLT : If I see the light when it shineth, And the precious moon walking,

TOV : என் மனம் இரகசியமாய் மயக்கப்பட்டு, என் வாய் என் கையை முத்தி செய்ததுண்டானால்,
KJV : And my heart hath been secretly enticed, or my mouth hath kissed my hand:
YLT : And my heart is enticed in secret, And my hand doth kiss my mouth,
RV : And my heart hath been secretly enticed, and my mouth hath kissed my hand:
RSV : and my heart has been secretly enticed, and my mouth has kissed my hand;
ASV : And my heart hath been secretly enticed, And my mouth hath kissed my hand:

ERVEN : I was never foolish enough to worship the sun and the moon.

TOV : இதுவும் நியாயாதிபதிகளால் விசாரிக்கப்படத்தக்க அக்கிரமமாயிருக்கும்; அதினால் உன்னதத்திலிருக்கிற தேவனை மறுதலிப்பேனே.
KJV : This also [were] an iniquity [to be punished by] the judge: for I should have denied the God [that is] above.
YLT : It also [is] a judicial iniquity, For I had lied to God above.
RV : This also were an iniquity to be punished by the judges: for I should have lied to God that is above.
RSV : this also would be an iniquity to be punished by the judges, for I should have been false to God above.

ERVEN : This is also a sin that must be punished. If I had worshiped them, I would have been unfaithful to God All-Powerful.

TOV : என் பகைஞனுடைய ஆபத்திலே நான் மகிழ்ந்து, பொல்லாப்பு அவனுக்கு நேரிட்டபோது களிகூர்ந்திருந்தேனோ?
KJV : If I rejoiced at the destruction of him that hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him:
YLT : If I rejoice at the ruin of my hater, And stirred up myself when evil found him,
RV : If I rejoiced at the destruction of him that hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him;
RSV : "If I have rejoiced at the ruin of him that hated me, or exulted when evil overtook him
ASV : If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him that hated me, Or lifted up myself when evil found him;
ESV : "If I have rejoiced at the ruin of him who hated me, or exulted when evil overtook him
ERVEN : "I have never been happy when my enemies were destroyed. I have never laughed at my enemies when bad things happened to them.

TOV : அவன் ஜீவனுக்குச் சாபத்தைக் கொடுக்கும்படி விரும்பி, வாயினால் பாவஞ்செய்ய நான் இடங்கொடுக்கவில்லை.
KJV : Neither have I suffered my mouth to sin by wishing a curse to his soul.
YLT : Yea, I have not suffered my mouth to sin, To ask with an oath his life.

TOV : அவன் இனத்தார்களில் திருப்தியாகாதவனைக் காண்பிப்பவன் யாரென்று என் கூடாரத்தின் மனுஷர் சொல்லார்களோ?
KJV : If the men of my tabernacle said not, Oh that we had of his flesh! we cannot be satisfied.
YLT : If not -- say ye, O men of my tent, `O that we had of his flesh, we are not satisfied.`
RV : If the men of my tent said not, Who can find one that hath not been satisfied with his flesh?
RSV : if the men of my tent have not said, `Who is there that has not been filled with his meat?'
ASV : If the men of my tent have not said, Who can find one that hath not been filled with his meat?

ERVEN : The people in my house know that I have never let anyone go hungry.

TOV : பரதேசி வீதியிலே இராத்தங்கினதில்லை; வழிப்போக்கனுக்கு என் வாசல்களைத் திறந்தேன்.
KJV : The stranger did not lodge in the street: [but] I opened my doors to the traveller.
YLT : In the street doth not lodge a stranger, My doors to the traveller I open.
RV : The stranger did not lodge in the street; but I opened my doors to the traveller;
RSV : (the sojourner has not lodged in the street; I have opened my doors to the wayfarer);

ERVEN : I always invited strangers into my home so they would not have to sleep in the streets.

TOV : நான் ஆதாமைப்போல என் மீறுதல்களை மூடி, என் அக்கிரமத்தை என் மடியிலே ஒளித்துவைத்தேனோ?
