BNV : তারপর য়োষেফ তাঁর ভৃত্যদের এক আদেশ দিয়ে বললেন, “ওদের প্রত্যেকের বস্তা বইবার ক্ষমতা অনুসারে শস্য ভর্তি করে দাও| আর প্রত্যেকের টাকাও তাদের শস্যের সঙ্গে রেখে দাও|
KJV : And he commanded the steward of his house, saying, Fill the men’s sacks [with] food, as much as they can carry, and put every man’s money in his sack’s mouth.
YLT : And he commandeth him who [is] over his house, saying, `Fill the bags of the men [with] food, as they are able to bear, and put the money of each in the mouth of his bag;
RV : And he commanded the steward of his house, saying, Fill the men-s sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put every man-s money in his sack-s mouth.
RSV : Then he commanded the steward of his house, "Fill the men's sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put each man's money in the mouth of his sack,

ERVEN : Then Joseph gave a command to his servant. He said, "Fill the men's sacks with as much grain as they can carry. Then put each man's money into his sack with the grain.

BNV : আমার ছোট ভাইয়ের বস্তায় তার টাকাটা রেখ এবং তার সঙ্গে আমার বিশেষ রূপোর পেয়ালাটাও রাখ|” ভৃত্যরা য়োষেফের কথা মত কাজ করল|
KJV : And put my cup, the silver cup, in the sack’s mouth of the youngest, and his corn money. And he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken.
YLT : and my cup, the silver cup, thou dost put in the mouth of the bag of the young one, and his corn-money;` and he doth according to the word of Joseph which he hath spoken.
RV : And put my cup, the silver cup, in the sack-s mouth of the youngest, and his corn money. And he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken.
RSV : and put my cup, the silver cup, in the mouth of the sack of the youngest, with his money for the grain." And he did as Joseph told him.

ERVEN : Put the youngest brother's money in his sack too. But also put my special silver cup in his sack." So the servant obeyed Joseph.

BNV : পরের দিন ভোরবেলা ভাইদের গাধায করে দেশে ফেরার জন্য বিদেয করা হল|
KJV : As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away, they and their asses.
YLT : The morning is bright, and the men have been sent away, they and their asses --
RV : As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away, they and their asses.
RSV : As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away with their asses.
ASV : As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away, they and their asses.
ESV : As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away with their donkeys.
ERVEN : Early the next morning the brothers and their donkeys were sent back to their country.

BNV : তারা শহর ছেড়ে বেরোলে য়োষেফ তার ভৃত্যকে বললেন, “যাও, ওদের পিছু নাও| ওদের থামিযে বল, ‘আমরা তোমাদের প্রতি কি ভাল ব্যবহার করি নি? তবে তোমরা কেন আমাদের সঙ্গে খারাপ ব্যবহার করলে? কেন তোমরা আমার মনিবের রূপোর পেয়ালা চুরি করলে?
KJV : [And] when they were gone out of the city, [and] not [yet] far off, Joseph said unto his steward, Up, follow after the men; and when thou dost overtake them, say unto them, Wherefore have ye rewarded evil for good?
YLT : they have gone out of the city -- they have not gone far off -- and Joseph hath said to him who [is] over his house, `Rise, pursue after the men; and thou hast overtaken them, and thou hast said unto them, Why have ye recompensed evil for good?
RV : {cf15i And} when they were gone out of the city, and were not yet far off, Joseph said unto his steward, Up, follow after the men; and when thou dost overtake them, say unto them, Wherefore have ye rewarded evil for good?
RSV : When they had gone but a short distance from the city, Joseph said to his steward, "Up, follow after the men; and when you overtake them, say to them, `Why have you returned evil for good? Why have you stolen my silver cup?
ASV : And when they were gone out of the city, and were not yet far off, Joseph said unto his steward, Up, follow after the men; and when thou dost overtake them, say unto them, Wherefore have ye rewarded evil for good?
ESV : They had gone only a short distance from the city. Now Joseph said to his steward, "Up, follow after the men, and when you overtake them, say to them, 'Why have you repaid evil for good?
ERVEN : After they had left the city, Joseph said to his servant, "Go and follow the men. Stop them and say to them, 'We were good to you! So why have you been bad to us? Why did you steal my master's silver cup?

BNV : আমার মনিব সেই পেয়ালা থেকে পান করেন এবং গণনার জন্যও ব্যবহার করেন| তোমরা যা করেছ তা অন্যায় কাজ|”‘
KJV : [Is] not this [it] in which my lord drinketh, and whereby indeed he divineth? ye have done evil in so doing.
YLT : Is not this that with which my lord drinketh? and he observeth diligently with it; ye have done evil [in] that which ye have done.`
RV : Is not this it in which my lord drinketh, and whereby he indeed divineth? ye have done evil in so doing.
RSV : Is it not from this that my lord drinks, and by this that he divines? You have done wrong in so doing.'"
ASV : Is not this that in which my lord drinketh, and whereby he indeed divineth? ye have done evil in so doing.
ESV : Is it not from this that my lord drinks, and by this that he practices divination? You have done evil in doing this.'"
ERVEN : My master drinks from that cup, and he uses it to learn secret things. What you did was wrong!'"

BNV : ভৃত্যটি সেই মত কাজ করল| সে সেখানে পৌঁছে ভাইদের থামালো| য়োষেফ যা বলতে বলেছিলেন, ভৃত্যটি সেই মত কথা বলল|
KJV : And he overtook them, and he spake unto them these same words.
YLT : And he overtaketh them, and speaketh unto them these words,
RV : And he overtook them, and he spake unto them these words.
RSV : When he overtook them, he spoke to them these words.
ASV : And he overtook them, and he spake unto them these words.
ESV : When he overtook them, he spoke to them these words.
ERVEN : So the servant obeyed. He rode out to the brothers and stopped them. The servant said to them what Joseph had told him to say.

BNV : কিন্তু ভাইরা ভৃত্যটিকে বলল, “রাজ্যপাল কেন এইরকম কথা বলছেন? আমরা সেইরকম কোন কাজ করতেই পারি না|
KJV : And they said unto him, Wherefore saith my lord these words? God forbid that thy servants should do according to this thing:
YLT : and they say unto him, `Why doth my lord speak according to these words? far be it from thy servants to do according to this word;
RV : And they said unto him, Wherefore speaketh my lord such words as these? God forbid that thy servants should do such a thing.
RSV : They said to him, "Why does my lord speak such words as these? Far be it from your servants that they should do such a thing!
ASV : And they said unto him, Wherefore speaketh my lord such words as these? Far be it from thy servants that they should do such a thing.
ESV : They said to him, "Why does my lord speak such words as these? Far be it from your servants to do such a thing!
ERVEN : But the brothers said to the servant, "Why does the governor say these things? We wouldn't do anything like that!

BNV : আমরা আমাদের বস্তায় য়ে টাকা আগের বার পেয়েছিলাম তা ফিরিযে এনেছিলাম| তাহলে নিশ্চয়ই আমরা তোমার মনিবের বাড়ী থেকে সোনা কি রূপা কিছুই চুরি করতে পারি না|
KJV : Behold, the money, which we found in our sacks’ mouths, we brought again unto thee out of the land of Canaan: how then should we steal out of thy lord’s house silver or gold?
YLT : lo, the money which we found in the mouth of our bags we brought back unto thee from the land of Canaan, and how do we steal from the house of thy lord silver or gold?
RV : Behold, the money, which we found in our sacks- mouths, we brought again unto thee out of the land of Canaan: how then should we steal out of thy lord-s house silver or gold?
RSV : Behold, the money which we found in the mouth of our sacks, we brought back to you from the land of Canaan; how then should we steal silver or gold from your lord's house?
ASV : Behold, the money, which we found in our sacks mouths, we brought again unto thee out of the land of Canaan: how then should we steal out of thy lords house silver or gold?
ESV : Behold, the money that we found in the mouths of our sacks we brought back to you from the land of Canaan. How then could we steal silver or gold from your lord's house?
ERVEN : We brought back the money that we found in our sacks before. So surely we wouldn't steal silver or gold from your master's house.

BNV : তুমি যদি সেই রূপোর পেয়ালা আমাদের কারও বস্তায় খুঁজে পাও তবে তার মৃত্যু হোক| তুমি তাকে তাহলে হত্যা এবং সেক্ষেত্রে আমরাও তোমার দাস হব|”
KJV : With whomsoever of thy servants it be found, both let him die, and we also will be my lord’s bondmen.
YLT : with whomsoever of thy servants it is found, he hath died, and we also are to my lord for servants.`
RV : With whomsoever of thy servants it be found, let him die, and we also will be my lord-s bondmen.
RSV : With whomever of your servants it be found, let him die, and we also will be my lord's slaves."
ASV : With whomsoever of thy servants it be found, let him die, and we also will be my lords bondmen.
ESV : Whichever of your servants is found with it shall die, and we also will be my lord's servants."
ERVEN : If you find the silver cup in any of our sacks, let that man die. You can kill him, and we will be your slaves."

BNV : ভৃত্যটি বলল, “আমরা তোমাদের কথা মতই কাজ করব| কিন্তু আমি সেই জনকে হত্যা করব না| আমি রূপোর পেয়ালা খুঁজে পেলে সেই জন আমার দাস হবে, অন্যরা য়েতে পারে|”
KJV : And he said, Now also [let] it [be] according unto your words; he with whom it is found shall be my servant; and ye shall be blameless.
YLT : And he saith, `Now, also, according to your words, so it [is]; he with whom it is found becometh my servant, and ye are acquitted;`
RV : And he said, Now also let it be according unto your words: he with whom it is found shall be my bondman; and ye shall be blameless.
RSV : He said, "Let it be as you say: he with whom it is found shall be my slave, and the rest of you shall be blameless."
ASV : And he said, Now also let it be according unto your words: he with whom it is found shall be my bondman; and ye shall be blameless.
ESV : He said, "Let it be as you say: he who is found with it shall be my servant, and the rest of you shall be innocent."
ERVEN : The servant said, "I agree, except that only the man who is found to have the cup will be my slave. The others will be free."

BNV : তখন প্রত্যেক ভাই তাড়াতাড়ি মাটিতে নিজেদের বস্তা খুলে ফেলল|
KJV : Then they speedily took down every man his sack to the ground, and opened every man his sack.
YLT : and they hasten and take down each his bag to the earth, and each openeth his bag;
RV : Then they hasted, and took down every man his sack to the ground, and opened every man his sack.
RSV : Then every man quickly lowered his sack to the ground, and every man opened his sack.

BNV : ভৃত্যটি বস্তাগুলি দেখতে লাগল| জ্যেষ্ঠ থেকে শুরু করে কনিষ্ঠের বস্তা খুঁজে দেখলে বিন্যামীনের বস্তায় সেই পেয়ালা খুঁজে পাওয়া গেল|
KJV : And he searched, [and] began at the eldest, and left at the youngest: and the cup was found in Benjamin’s sack.
YLT : and he searcheth -- at the eldest he hath begun, and at the youngest he hath completed -- and the cup is found in the bag of Benjamin;
RV : And he searched, {cf15i and} began at the eldest, and left at the youngest: and the cup was found in Benjamin-s sack.
RSV : And he searched, beginning with the eldest and ending with the youngest; and the cup was found in Benjamin's sack.

ERVEN : The servant started looking in the sacks. He started with the oldest brother and ended with the youngest. He found the cup in Benjamin's sack.

BNV : ভাইরা এতে অত্যন্ত দুঃখিত হল| তারা তাদের শোক প্রকাশ করতে জামা ছিঁড়ে ফেলল| নিজেদের বস্তা আবার গাধায চাপিয়ে শহরে ফিরে চলল|
KJV : Then they rent their clothes, and laded every man his ass, and returned to the city.
YLT : and they rend their garments, and each ladeth his ass, and they turn back to the city.
RV : Then they rent their clothes, and laded every man his ass, and returned to the city.
RSV : Then they rent their clothes, and every man loaded his ass, and they returned to the city.

ERVEN : The brothers were very sad. They tore their clothes to show their sadness. They put their sacks back on the donkeys and went back to the city.

BNV : যিহূদা তার ভাইদের নিয়ে য়োষেফের বাড়ী গেল| য়োষেফ তখনও বাড়ীতে ছিলেন| ভাইরা তার সামনে মাটিতে পড়ে তাকে প্রণাম করল|
KJV : And Judah and his brethren came to Joseph’s house; for he [was] yet there: and they fell before him on the ground.
YLT : And Judah -- his brethren also -- cometh in unto the house of Joseph, and he is yet there, and they fall before him to the earth;
RV : And Judah and his brethren came to Joseph-s house; and he was yet there: and they fell before him on the ground.
RSV : When Judah and his brothers came to Joseph's house, he was still there; and they fell before him to the ground.

ERVEN : When Judah and his brothers went back to Joseph's house, Joseph was still there. The brothers fell to the ground and bowed down before him.

BNV : য়োষেফ তাদের বললেন, “তোমরা কেন এ কাজ করেছ| তোমরা কি জানতে না য়ে আমি গণনা করতে পারি| এ কাজে আমার থেকে ভালো কেউ নেই|”
KJV : And Joseph said unto them, What deed [is] this that ye have done? wot ye not that such a man as I can certainly divine?
YLT : and Joseph saith to them, `What [is] this deed that ye have done? have ye not known that a man like me doth diligently observe?`
RV : And Joseph said unto them, What deed is this that ye have done? know ye not that such a man as I can indeed divine?
RSV : Joseph said to them, "What deed is this that you have done? Do you not know that such a man as I can indeed divine?"
ASV : And Joseph said unto them, What deed is this that ye have done? know ye not that such a man as I can indeed divine?
ESV : Joseph said to them, "What deed is this that you have done? Do you not know that a man like me can indeed practice divination?"
ERVEN : Joseph said to them, "Why have you done this? Didn't you know that I have a special way of learning secrets? No one is better at this than I am!"

BNV : যিহূদা বলল, “মহাশয়, আমাদের বলবার কিছুই নেই| ব্যাখ্যা করারও পথ নেই| আমরা য়ে নির্দোষ তা প্রমাণ করারও পথ নেই| অন্য কোন অন্যায় কাজের জন্য ঈশ্বর আমাদের বিচারে দোষী করেছেন| সেইজন্য আমরা সবাই এমনকি, বিন্যামীনও, আপনার দাস হব|”
KJV : And Judah said, What shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God hath found out the iniquity of thy servants: behold, we [are] my lord’s servants, both we, and [he] also with whom the cup is found.
YLT : And Judah saith, `What do we say to my lord? what do we speak? and what -- do we justify ourselves? God hath found out the iniquity of thy servants; lo, we [are] servants to my lord, both we, and he in whose hand the cup hath been found;`
RV : And Judah said, What shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God hath found out the iniquity of thy servants: behold, we are my lord-s bondmen, both we, and he also in whose hand the cup is found.
RSV : And Judah said, "What shall we say to my lord? What shall we speak? Or how can we clear ourselves? God has found out the guilt of your servants; behold, we are my lord's slaves, both we and he also in whose hand the cup has been found."
ASV : And Judah said, What shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God hath found out the iniquity of thy servants: behold, we are my lords bondmen, both we, and he also in whose hand the cup is found.
ESV : And Judah said, "What shall we say to my lord? What shall we speak? Or how can we clear ourselves? God has found out the guilt of your servants; behold, we are my lord's servants, both we and he also in whose hand the cup has been found."
ERVEN : Judah said, "Sir, there is nothing we can say. There is no way to explain. There is no way to show that we are not guilty. God has judged us guilty for something else we have done. So all of us, even Benjamin, will be your slaves."

BNV : কিন্তু য়োষেফ বললেন, “আমি তোমাদের সবাইকে দাস করব না| কেবল য়ে পেয়ালা চুরি করেছে সেই আমার দাস হবে| বাকী তোমরা তোমাদের পিতার কাছে শান্তিতে ফিরে যাও|”
KJV : And he said, God forbid that I should do so: [but] the man in whose hand the cup is found, he shall be my servant; and as for you, get you up in peace unto your father.
YLT : and he saith, `Far be it from me to do this; the man in whose hand the cup hath been found, he becometh my servant; and ye, go ye up in peace unto your father.`
RV : And he said, God forbid that I should do so: the man in whose hand the cup is found, he shall be my bondman; but as for you, get you up in peace unto your father.
RSV : But he said, "Far be it from me that I should do so! Only the man in whose hand the cup was found shall be my slave; but as for you, go up in peace to your father."
ASV : And he said, Far be it from me that I should do so: the man in whose hand the cup is found, he shall be my bondman; but as for you, get you up in peace unto your father.

ERVEN : But Joseph said, "I will not make you all slaves! Only the man who stole the cup will be my slave. You others can go in peace to your father."

BNV : তখন যিহূদা য়োষেফের কাছে গিয়ে বললেন, “মহাশয়, দয়া করে আমাকে সব কথা পরিস্কার করে আপনাকে বলতে দিন| দয়া করে আমার প্রতি রাগ করবেন না| আমি জানি আপনি ফরৌণের সমান|
KJV : Then Judah came near unto him, and said, Oh my lord, let thy servant, I pray thee, speak a word in my lord’s ears, and let not thine anger burn against thy servant: for thou [art] even as Pharaoh.
YLT : And Judah cometh nigh unto him, and saith, `O, my lord, let thy servant speak, I pray thee, a word in the ears of my lord, and let not thine anger burn against thy servant -- for thou art as Pharaoh.
RV : Then Judah came near unto him, and said, Oh my lord, let thy servant, I pray thee, speak a word in my lord-s ears, and let not thine anger burn against thy servant: for thou art even as Pharaoh.
RSV : Then Judah went up to him and said, "O my lord, let your servant, I pray you, speak a word in my lord's ears, and let not your anger burn against your servant; for you are like Pharaoh himself.
ASV : Then Judah came near unto him, and said, Oh, my lord, let thy servant, I pray thee, speak a word in my lords ears, and let not thine anger burn against thy servant; for thou art even as Pharaoh.
ESV : Then Judah went up to him and said, "O my lord, please let your servant speak a word in my lord's ears, and let not your anger burn against your servant, for you are like Pharaoh himself.
ERVEN : Then Judah went to Joseph and said, "Sir, please let me speak plainly with you. Please don't be angry with me. I know that you are like Pharaoh himself.

BNV : আমরা আগে যখন এখানে এসেছিলাম তখন আপনি জিজ্ঞেস করেছিলেন, “তোমাদের একজন পিতা আর ভাই আছে কি?’
KJV : My lord asked his servants, saying, Have ye a father, or a brother?
YLT : My lord hath asked his servants, saying, Have ye a father or brother?
RV : My lord asked his servants, saying, Have ye a father, or a brother?
RSV : My lord asked his servants, saying, `Have you a father, or a brother?'
ASV : My lord asked his servants, saying, Have ye a father, or a brother?
ESV : My lord asked his servants, saying, 'Have you a father, or a brother?'
ERVEN : When we were here before, you asked us, 'Do you have a father or a brother?'

BNV : আমরা আপনাকে উত্তর দিয়েছিলাম, ‘আমাদের এক পিতা আছেন, তিনি বৃদ্ধ| আমাদের এক ছোট ভাই রয়েছে| আমাদের পিতা তাকে ভালবাসেন কারণ সে তার বৃদ্ধ বয়সের সন্তান| আর সেই ছোট ভাইয়ের নিজের এক ভাই মারা গেছে| তাই তার মায়ের পুত্রদের মধ্যে একমাত্র সেই বেঁচে আছে এবং তার পিতা তাকে খুব ভালবাসেন|
KJV : And we said unto my lord, We have a father, an old man, and a child of his old age, a little one; and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother, and his father loveth him.
YLT : and we say unto my lord, We have a father, an aged one, and a child of old age, a little one; and his brother died, and he is left alone of his mother, and his father hath loved him.
RV : And we said unto my lord, We have a father, an old man, and a child of his old age, a little one; and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother, and his father loveth him.
RSV : And we said to my lord, `We have a father, an old man, and a young brother, the child of his old age; and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother's children; and his father loves him.'
ASV : And we said unto my lord, We have a father, an old man, and a child of his old age, a little one; and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother; and his father loveth him.
ESV : And we said to my lord, 'We have a father, an old man, and a young brother, the child of his old age. His brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother's children, and his father loves him.'
ERVEN : And we answered you, 'We have a father—he is an old man. And we have a younger brother. Our father loves him because he was born while our father was old. This youngest son's brother is dead, so he is the only son who is left from that mother. Our father loves him very much.'

BNV : তারপর আপনি বললেন, “তবে সেই ভাইকেই আমার কাছে নিয়ে এস| আমি তাকে দেখতে চাই|’
KJV : And thou saidst unto thy servants, Bring him down unto me, that I may set mine eyes upon him.
YLT : `And thou sayest unto thy servants, Bring him down unto me, and I set mine eye upon him;
RV : And thou saidst unto thy servants, Bring him down unto me, that I may set mine eyes upon him.
RSV : Then you said to your servants, `Bring him down to me, that I may set my eyes upon him.'
ASV : And thou saidst unto thy servants, Bring him down unto me, that I may set mine eyes upon him.
ESV : Then you said to your servants, 'Bring him down to me, that I may set my eyes on him.'
ERVEN : Then you said to us, 'Bring that brother to me. I want to see him.'

BNV : আর আমরা আপনাকে বললাম, ‘সেই ছোট ভাই পিতাকে ছেড়ে আসতে পারে না| আর পিতা তাকে হারালে শোকেতে মারাই যাবেন|’
KJV : And we said unto my lord, The lad cannot leave his father: for [if] he should leave his father, [his father] would die.
YLT : and we say unto my lord, The youth is not able to leave his father, when he hath left his father, then he hath died;
RV : And we said unto my lord, The lad cannot leave his father: for if he should leave his father, his father would die.
RSV : We said to my lord, `The lad cannot leave his father, for if he should leave his father, his father would die.'
ASV : And we said unto my lord, The lad cannot leave his father: for if he should leave his father, his father would die.
ESV : We said to my lord, 'The boy cannot leave his father, for if he should leave his father, his father would die.'
ERVEN : And we said to you, 'That young boy cannot come. He cannot leave his father. If his father loses him, his father will be so sad that he will die.'

BNV : কিন্তু আপনি আমাদের বললেন, ‘তোমাদের অবশ্যই সেই ভাইকে আনতে হবে নতুবা আমি শস্য বিক্রি করব না|’
KJV : And thou saidst unto thy servants, Except your youngest brother come down with you, ye shall see my face no more.

KJV : Now therefore when I come to thy servant my father, and the lad [be] not with us; seeing that his life is bound up in the lad’s life;

KJV : Now therefore, I pray thee, let thy servant abide instead of the lad a bondman to my lord; and let the lad go up with his brethren.
