ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ರಾಜನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನು ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನು ಕರೆಸಿ, “ನೀವು ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲವೇಕೆ? ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಸೇವೆ ಹೊಂದುವ ಜನರು ಕೊಡುವ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಬೇಡಿ. ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
