ದಾವೀದನು ತನ್ನ ಇನ್ನೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಉಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಬೆಸೋರ್ ಹಳ್ಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದನು. ತಮ್ಮ ಅತಿಯಾದ ಆಯಾಸದಿಂದಲೂ ಬಲಹೀನತೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಲಾಗದ ಜನರೇ ಇವರು. ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವನೊಡನೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ಸೈನಿಕರನ್ನು ಸಂಧಿಸಲು ಇವರು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದರು. ದಾವೀದ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ಸಮೀಪಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಬೆಸೋರ್ ಹಳ್ಳದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಜನರು ಅವರನ್ನು ವಂದಿಸಿದರು. ದಾವೀದನು ಸಹ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಧಿಸಿ ಅವರ ಯೋಗಕ್ಷೇವುವನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದನು.
