ದಾವೀದನು ತನ್ನ ಚೀಲದಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಹೊರತೆಗೆದನು. ಅದನ್ನು ಅವನು ಕವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿ ಬೀಸಿ ಹೊಡೆದನು. ಕವಣೆಯಿಂದ ಅವನು ಬೀಸಿದ ಕಲ್ಲು ಗೊಲ್ಯಾತನ ಹಣೆಗೆ ಬಡಿಯಿತು. ಆ ಕಲ್ಲು ಅವನ ಹಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಳವಾದ ಗಾಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿತು. ಕೂಡಲೇ ಗೊಲ್ಯಾತನು ಬೋರಲಾಗಿ ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದನು.
