পরপর সাত বার একই ঘটনা ঘটার পর সাতবারের বার সেই ভৃত্য এসে বলল, “মানুষের হাতের মুঠোর মতো ছোট্ট এক টুকরো মেঘ দেখলাম সমুদ্রের দিক থেকে আসছে|”এলিয় তাঁর ভৃত্যকে বললেন, “যাও রাজা আহাবকে তাঁর রথ প্রস্তুত করে বাড়িতে য়েতে বলো কারণ এক্ষুনি রওনা না হলে ও বৃষ্টিতে আটকে যাবে|”

And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare [thy chariot,] and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not.
