ಇವರನ್ನು ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಚೀಟುಹಾಕಿ ಆರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಆರೋನನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರೂ ಯಾಜಕರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕರು ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಚೀಟುಹಾಕಿ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಇವರನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು. ರಾಜನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ, ಚಾದೋಕನ, ಅಹೀಮೆಲೆಕನ ಮತ್ತು ಲೇವಿಕುಲದ ನಾಯಕರ ಎದುರಿಗೆ ಚೀಟುಹಾಕಿದರು. ಹಿರಿಯ ಅಥವಾ ಕಿರಿಯ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳೆನ್ನದೆ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಸಮಾನವಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿದರು.

બરાબર તેમના કુટુંબી હારુનના વંશજોની માફક આ કુટુંબોમાં પણ મોટા અને નાના કુટુંબનો ભેદ રાખ્યા વિના ચિઠ્ઠીઓ ફેંકીને તેમની ફરજો નક્કી કરવામાં આવી હતી. આ બંધુ રાજા દાઉદ, સાદોક, અહીમેલેખ અને યાજકોના આગેવાનોની અને લેવીઓનાં કુટુંબને સાક્ષી રાખીને કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું.
