సౌలు గుడారాలు వేసుకున్న ప్రదేశానికి దావీదు వెళ్లాడు. సౌలు, అబ్నేరు ఇద్దరూ నిద్రిస్తున్న చోటును దావీదు చూశాడు. (నేరు కుమారుడు అబ్నేరు సౌలు సైన్యాలకు సేనాని.) గుడారం మధ్యలో సౌలు నిద్రిస్తూవున్నాడు. సైన్యమంతా అతని చుట్టూ వుంది.
