তারপর শৌল প্রার্থনা শুরু করলেন| তিনি বললেন, “হে প্রভু, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর, কেন আজ তোমার ভৃত্যকে কোনো উত্তর দিলে না? যদি আমি বা আমার পুত্র কোন দোষ করে থাকি, তবে প্রভু ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর আমাদের ‘উরীম’ দাও| যদি তোমার ইস্রায়েলীয়রা কোন পাপ করে থাকে, তুমি তবে ‘তুম্মীম’ দাও| ‘উরীম’ আর ‘তুম্মীম’ ছুঁড়ে দেওয়া হল|শৌল ও য়োনাথন ধরা পড়ল এবং লোকরা বাদ পড়ল|

Therefore Saul said unto the LORD God of Israel, Give a perfect [lot.] And Saul and Jonathan were taken: but the people escaped.
