ঈষেবল তখন এলিয়র কাছে দূত মারফত্ খবর পাঠালেন, “আমি প্রতিজ্ঞা করছি আগামীকাল এসময়ের আগে তুমি য়ে ভাবে ঐ ভাববাদীদের হত্যা করেছ ঠিক সে ভাবেই তোমাকে হত্যা করব| আর যদি তা না পারি তাহলে য়েন দেবতারা আমায় হত্যা করেন|”

Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do [to me,] and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.
