BNV : তিনি তাঁর শিষ্যদের বললেন, ‘আমি তোমাদের সত্যি বলছি যাঁরা এখানে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে, তদের মধ্যে কয়েকজন আছে, যাঁরা কোনমতেই মৃত্যু দেখবে না; যতক্ষণ পর্যন্ত ঈশ্বরের রাজ্য মহাপরাক্রমের সঙ্গে আসতে না দেখে৷’
KJV : And he said unto them, {SCJ}Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power. {SCJ.}
YLT : And he said to them, `Verily I say to you, That there are certain of those standing here, who may not taste of death till they see the reign of God having come in power.`
RV : And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There be some here of them that stand {cf15i by}, which shall in no wise taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God come with power.
RSV : And he said to them, "Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see that the kingdom of God has come with power."

ERVEN : Then Jesus said, "Believe me when I say that some of you people standing here will see God's kingdom come with power before you die."

BNV : ছদিন বাদে যীশু পিতর, যাকোব এবং য়োহনকে সঙ্গে করে এক উঁচু পাহাড়ে উঠে গেলেন৷ তাঁদের সামনে তাঁর রূপ পরিবর্তিত হয়ে গেল৷
KJV : And after six days Jesus taketh [with him] Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

BNV : তাঁর পোশাক এত উজ্জ্বল ও শুভ্র হল য়ে পৃথিবীর কোন রজক সেই রকম সাদা করতে পারে না৷
KJV : And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.
YLT : and his garments became glittering, white exceedingly, as snow, so as a fuller upon the earth is not able to whiten [them].

BNV : তখন মোশি এবং এলীয় তাঁদের সামনে এসে যীশুর সাথে কথা বলতে শুরু করলেন৷
KJV : And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.

BNV : তখন পিতর যীশুকে বললেন, ‘গুরুদেব, এখানে আমাদের থাকা ভাল৷ আমরা তিনটি তাঁবু তৈরী করি৷ একটা আপনার জন্য, একটা মোশির জন্য এবং একটা এলীয়র জন্য৷’
KJV : And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
YLT : And Peter answering saith to Jesus, `Rabbi, it is good to us to be here; and we may make three booths, for thee one, and for Moses one, and for Elijah one:`

BNV : কারণ কি বলতে হবে তা তিনি জানতেন না, তাঁরা অত্যন্ত ভয় পেয়ে গিয়েছিলেন৷
KJV : For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.
YLT : for he was not knowing what he might say, for they were greatly afraid.

BNV : পরে একখানা মেঘ এসে তাঁদের ছাযা দিয়ে ঢেকে ফেলল; আর সেই মেঘ থেকে এই রব শোনা গেল, ‘ইনি আমার প্রিয় পুত্র৷ তোমরা তাঁর কথা শোন৷’
KJV : And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
YLT : And there came a cloud overshadowing them, and there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, `This is My Son -- the Beloved, hear ye him;`

BNV : শিষ্যেরা তখনই চারদিকে তাকালেন; কিন্তু যীশু ছাড়া আর কাউকে সেখানে দেখতে পেলেন না৷
KJV : And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.

BNV : পাহাড় থেকে নামার সময় তিনি তাঁর শিষ্যদের বললেন, ‘তোমরা যা যা দেখলে তা কাউকে বলো না যতক্ষণ না মৃত্যু থেকে মানবপুত্র বেঁচে উঠছেন৷’
KJV : And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.
YLT : And as they are coming down from the mount, he charged them that they may declare to no one the things that they saw, except when the Son of Man may rise out of the dead;

ERVEN : As Jesus and the followers were walking back down the mountain, he gave them these instructions: "Don't tell anyone about what you saw on the mountain. Wait until after the Son of Man rises from death. Then you can tell people what you saw."

BNV : তারা সেই ঘটনার কথা নিজেদের মধ্যেই চেপে রাখলেন; কিন্তু ভাবতে লাগলেন, মৃত্যু থেকে বেঁচে ওঠা কথাটির অর্থ কি হতে পারে৷
KJV : And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.

ERVEN : So the followers waited to say anything about what they saw. But they discussed among themselves what Jesus meant about rising from death.

BNV : পরে শিষ্যরা তাঁকে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, ‘কেন ব্যবস্থার শিক্ষকরা বলেন য়ে প্রথমে এলীয়কে আসতে হবে?’
KJV : And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?
YLT : And they were questioning him, saying, that the scribes say that Elijah it behoveth to come first.
RV : And they asked him, saying, The scribes say that Elijah must first come.

BNV : তিনি তাদের বললেন, ‘হ্যাঁ, এলীয় প্রথমে এসে সব কিছু পুনঃস্থাপন করবেন বটে, কিন্তু মানবপুত্রের বিষয়ে কেন এসব লেখা হয়েছে য়ে তাঁকে অনেক দুঃখ পেতে হবে আর লোকে তাঁকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করবে?
KJV : And he answered and told them, {SCJ}Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought. {SCJ.}
YLT : And he answering said to them, `Elijah indeed, having come first, doth restore all things; and how hath it been written concerning the Son of Man, that many things he may suffer, and be set at nought?

ERVEN : Jesus answered, "They are right to say that Elijah must come first. Elijah makes all things the way they should be. But why do the Scriptures say that the Son of Man will suffer much and that people will think he is worth nothing?

BNV : কিন্তু আমি তোমাদের বলছি, এলীয়ের বিষয়ে য়েমন লেখা আছে, সেই অনুসারে তিনি এসে গেছেন এবং লোকরা তাঁর প্রতি যা ইচ্ছে তাই করেছে৷’
KJV : {SCJ}But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him. {SCJ.}
YLT : But I say to you, That also Elijah hath come, and they did to him what they willed, as it hath been written of him.`

BNV : পরে তাঁরা অন্য শিষ্যদের কাছে এসে দেখলেন তাঁদের চারদিকে অনেক লোক আর ব্যবস্থার শিক্ষকরা তাদের সাথে তর্ক করছেন৷
KJV : And when he came to [his] disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.
YLT : And having come unto the disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and scribes questioning with them,

ERVEN : Then Jesus, Peter, James, and John went to the other followers. They saw many people around them. The teachers of the law were arguing with the followers.

BNV : তাঁকে দেখামাত্র সমস্ত লোক অবাক হল এবং তাঁর কাছে দৌড়ে গিয়ে তাঁকে প্রণাম জানাতে লাগল৷
KJV : And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to [him] saluted him.
YLT : and immediately, all the multitude having seen him, were amazed, and running near, were saluting him.

BNV : তিনি তাঁদের জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, ‘তোমরা এদের সঙ্গে কি নিয়ে তর্ক করছ?’
KJV : And he asked the scribes, {SCJ}What question ye with them? {SCJ.}
YLT : And he questioned the scribes, `What dispute ye with them?`

BNV : তাতে লোকেদের মধ্যে থেকে একজন বলে উঠল, ‘হে গুরু, আমার ছেলেটিকে আপনার কাছে এনেছিলাম৷ তাকে এক বোবা আত্মায় পেয়েছে, সে কথা বলতে পারে না৷
KJV : And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;
YLT : and one out of the multitude answering said, `Teacher, I brought my son unto thee, having a dumb spirit;
RV : And one of the multitude answered him, Master, I brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;
RSV : And one of the crowd answered him, "Teacher, I brought my son to you, for he has a dumb spirit;
ASV : And one of the multitude answered him, Teacher, I brought unto thee my son, who hath a dumb spirit;
ESV : And someone from the crowd answered him, "Teacher, I brought my son to you, for he has a spirit that makes him mute.
ERVEN : A man answered, "Teacher, I brought my son to you. He is controlled by an evil spirit that keeps him from talking.

BNV : সেই আত্মা তাকে য়েখানে ধরে, সেইখানে আছাড় মারে; আর তার মুখে ফেনা ওঠে, সে দাঁত কিড়মিড় করে আর শক্ত হয়ে যায়৷ আমি আপনার শিষ্যদের এই আত্মাটাকে ছাড়াতে বললাম, কিন্তু তাঁরা পারলেন না৷’
KJV : And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
YLT : and wherever it doth seize him, it doth tear him, and he foameth, and gnasheth his teeth, and pineth away; and I spake to thy disciples that they may cast it out, and they were not able.`
RV : and wheresoever it taketh him, it dasheth him down: and he foameth, and grindeth his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast it out; and they were not able.
RSV : and wherever it seizes him, it dashes him down; and he foams and grinds his teeth and becomes rigid; and I asked your disciples to cast it out, and they were not able."
ASV : and wheresoever it taketh him, it dasheth him down: and he foameth, and grindeth his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast it out; and they were not able.
ESV : And whenever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams and grinds his teeth and becomes rigid. So I asked your disciples to cast it out, and they were not able."
ERVEN : The spirit attacks him and throws him on the ground. He foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes very stiff. I asked your followers to force the evil spirit out, but they could not."

BNV : তখন যীশু তাঁদের বললেন, ‘হে অবিশ্বাসী বংশ, আমাকে আর কতকাল তোমাদের সঙ্গে থাকতে হবে? তোমাদের নিয়ে আর আমি কত ধৈর্য্য ধরব? তাকে আমার কাছে নিয়ে এস৷’
KJV : He answereth him, and saith, {SCJ}O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me. {SCJ.}
YLT : And he answering him, said, `O generation unbelieving, till when shall I be with you? till when shall I suffer you? bring him unto me;`
RV : And he answereth them and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I bear with you? bring him unto me.
RSV : And he answered them, "O faithless generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him to me."
ASV : And he answereth them and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I bear with you? bring him unto me.
ESV : And he answered them, "O faithless generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him to me."
ERVEN : Jesus answered, "You people today don't believe! How long must I stay with you? How long must I be patient with you? Bring the boy to me!"

BNV : তারা তাকে তাঁর কাছে নিয়ে এল৷ যীশুকে দেখামাত্র সেই আত্মা ছেলেটিকে মুচড়ে ধরল; আর সে মাটিতে পড়ে গড়াগড়ি দিতে লাগল, তার মুখ দিয়ে ফেনা বের হচ্ছিল৷
KJV : And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.
YLT : and they brought him unto him, and he having seen him, immediately the spirit tare him, and he, having fallen upon the earth, was wallowing -- foaming.
RV : And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him grievously; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.

ERVEN : So the followers brought the boy to Jesus. When the evil spirit saw Jesus, it attacked the boy. The boy fell down and rolled on the ground. He was foaming at the mouth.

BNV : তখন যীশু তার বাবাকে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, ‘এর কতদিন এমন হয়েছে?’ছেলেটির বাবা বলল, ‘ছেলেবেলা থেকে এরকম হয়েছে৷
KJV : And he asked his father, {SCJ}How long is it ago since this came unto him?{SCJ.} And he said, Of a child.
YLT : And he questioned his father, `How long time is it since this came to him?` and he said, `From childhood,
RV : And he asked his father, How long time is it since this hath come unto him? And he said, From a child.
RSV : And Jesus asked his father, "How long has he had this?" And he said, "From childhood.
ASV : And he asked his father, How long time is it since this hath come unto him? And he said, From a child.
ESV : And Jesus asked his father, "How long has this been happening to him?" And he said, "From childhood.
ERVEN : Jesus asked the boy's father, "How long has this been happening to him?" The father answered, "Since he was very young.

BNV : এই আত্মা একে মেরে ফেলার জন্য অনেকবার আগুনে ও জলে ফেলে দিয়েছে৷ আপনি যদি কিছু করতে পারেন, তবে দযা করে আমাদের উপকার করুন৷’
KJV : And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
YLT : and many times also it cast him into fire, and into water, that it might destroy him; but if thou art able to do anything, help us, having compassion on us.`

BNV : যীশু তাকে বললেন, ‘কি বললে, ‘যদি পারেন! য়ে বিশ্বাস করে তার পক্ষে সবই সন্ভব৷’
KJV : Jesus said unto him, {SCJ}If thou canst believe, all things [are] possible to him that believeth. {SCJ.}
YLT : And Jesus said to him, `If thou art able to believe! all things are possible to the one that is believing;`
RV : And Jesus said unto him, If thou canst! All things are possible to him that believeth.
RSV : And Jesus said to him, "If you can! All things are possible to him who believes."

ERVEN : Jesus said to the father, "Why did you say 'if you can'? All things are possible for the one who believes."

BNV : সঙ্গে সঙ্গে ছেলেটির বাবা চিত্‌কার করে কেঁদে বলল, ‘আমি বিশ্বাস করি! আমার অবিশ্বাসের প্রতিকার করুন!’
KJV : And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
YLT : and immediately the father of the child, having cried out, with tears said, `I believe, sir; be helping mine unbelief.`
RV : Straightway the father of the child cried out, and said, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

BNV : অনেক লোক সেদিকে আসছে দেখে যীশু সেই অশুচি আত্মাকে ধমকে বললেন, ‘হে বোবা কালার আত্মা, আমি তোমাকে বলছি, এর মধ্যে আর কখনও ঢুকবে না!’
KJV : When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, {SCJ}[Thou] dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. {SCJ.}
