BNV : দেখো, সোনা কি ভাবে কৃঞ্চবর্ণ হয়েছে| দেখো, দামী সোনার কি পরিবর্তন| চারি দিকেই মন্দিরের পাথরগুলো ইতস্ততঃ ছড়িয়ে আছে| তাদের রাস্তার প্রতিটি কোণে বিক্ষিপ্ত করা হয়েছে|
KJV : How is the gold become dim! [how] is the most fine gold changed! the stones of the sanctuary are poured out in the top of every street.
YLT : How is the gold become dim, Changed the best -- the pure gold? Poured out are stones of the sanctuary At the head of all out-places.

BNV : এমনকি শিয়ালও তার শাবকদের স্তন পান করায়| কিন্তু আমার লোকরা খুব নিষ্ঠুর হয়ে উঠেছে| তারা মরুভূমিতে থাকা উট পাখীর মতো|

BNV : এক সময় যারা খুব দামী দামী খাবার খেয়েছে, এখন তারাই খিদের জ্বালায় রাস্তায় মরছে| সুন্দর লাল পোশাক পরে যারা এমশঃ বড় হয়েছে, তারাই এখন খাদ্যের সন্ধানে আবর্জনার স্তুপ ঘেঁটে ফিরছে|
KJV : They that did feed delicately are desolate in the streets: they that were brought up in scarlet embrace dunghills.
YLT : Those eating of dainties have been desolate in out-places, Those supported on scarlet have embraced dunghills.

BNV : তাদের পাপ কার্য়্য়ের জন্য আমার লোকদের শাস্তি সদোমের পাপের কারণে শাস্তির চেয়েও বড় হয় গেছে| সদোম ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্ত হয়েছিল কারণ ঐ জায়গায় লোকরা পাপী হয়ে উঠেছিল| সদোমকে হঠাত্‌ ধ্বংস করা হয়েছিল| কোন মানুষ ঐ ধ্বংস কার্য়্য় ঘটাযনি|
KJV : For the punishment of the iniquity of the daughter of my people is greater than the punishment of the sin of Sodom, that was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands stayed on her.

BNV : দুর্ভিক্ষে মরার চেয়ে তরবারির আঘাতে মরা ভাল| অনাহারে থাকা জনগণ ভীষণ অবসন্ন| তারা আহত| শস্যক্ষেত্র থেকে তারা কোন ফসল পায় নি তাই খাদ্যের অভাবে তারা মারা গিয়েছে|
KJV : [They that be] slain with the sword are better than [they that be] slain with hunger: for these pine away, stricken through for [want of] the fruits of the field.

BNV : ইদোমের জনগণ, সুখী হও| ইদোমের লোকরা তোমরা যারা উসে থাকো, সুখী হও| কিন্তু মনে রেখো প্রভুর পানপাত্র তোমারও চারিদিক ঘিরে আসবে| যখন তুমি সেই পানপাত্রে চুমুক দেবে (শাস্তি পাবে), তখন তুমি মাতাল হবে| তুমি সেই সময় নিজেকে উলঙ্গ করে ফেলবে|
KJV : Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz; the cup also shall pass through unto thee: thou shalt be drunken, and shalt make thyself naked.
YLT : Joy and rejoice, O daughter of Edom, Dwelling in the land of Uz, Even unto thee pass over doth a cup, Thou art drunk, and makest thyself naked.
RV : Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz: the cup shall pass through unto thee also; thou shalt be drunken, and shalt make thyself naked.

KJV : The punishment of thine iniquity is accomplished, O daughter of Zion; he will no more carry thee away into captivity: he will visit thine iniquity, O daughter of Edom; he will discover thy sins.
YLT : Completed [is] thy iniquity, daughter of Zion, He doth not add to remove thee, He hath inspected thy iniquity, O daughter of Edom, He hath removed [thee] because of thy sins!
