BNV : সিয়োনের তোমরা যারা খুব আরামে জীবনযাপন করছ এবং শমরিয়া পর্বতে যারা নিরাপত্তা অনুভব করছ তাদের জন্য খারাপ সময় আসছে| সব চেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ জাতিতে “গুরুত্বপূর্ণ” নেতাসমূহ| ইস্রায়েলবাসীরা তোমাদের কাছে সাহায্যের জন্য আসে|
KJV : Woe to them [that are] at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, [which are] named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!
YLT : Wo [to] those secure in Zion, And those confident in the mount of Samaria, The marked of the chief of the nations, And come to them have the house of Israel.
RV : Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and to them that are secure in the mountain of Samaria, the notable men of the chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel come!
RSV : "Woe to those who are at ease in Zion, and to those who feel secure on the mountain of Samaria, the notable men of the first of the nations, to whom the house of Israel come!
ASV : Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and to them that are secure in the mountain of Samaria, the notable men of the chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel come!
ESV : "Woe to those who are at ease in Zion, and to those who feel secure on the mountain of Samaria, the notable men of the first of the nations, to whom the house of Israel comes!
ERVEN : Oh, look at the people enjoying life in Zion, and those on Mount Samaria who feel so safe. They are such important leaders of a most important nation. The "House of Israel" comes to you for advice.

BNV : কল্নীতে গিয়ে দেখো| সেখান থেকে বৃহত্‌ শহর হমাতে যাও| পলেষ্টীয়দের শহর গাতে যাও| তোমরা কি এই রাজ্যগুলি থেকে বেশী ভাল আছো? না| তাদের দেশগুলি তোমাদের দেশগুলির থেকে বড়|
KJV : Pass ye unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go ye to Hamath the great: then go down to Gath of the Philistines: [be they] better than these kingdoms? or their border greater than your border?
YLT : Pass ye over [to] Calneh and see, And go thence [to] Hamath the great, And go down [to] Gath of the Philistines, Are [they] better than these kingdoms? Greater [is] their border than your border?
RV : Pass ye unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go ye to Hamath the great: then go down to Gath of the Philistines: be they better than these kingdoms? or is their border greater than your border?

ESV : Pass over to Calneh, and see, and from there go to Hamath the great; then go down to Gath of the Philistines. Are you better than these kingdoms? Or is their territory greater than your territory,
ERVEN : Go look at Calneh. From there, go to the large city Hamath. Go to the Philistine city of Gath. Are you better than these kingdoms? Their countries are larger than yours.

BNV : তোমরা যারা খারাপ সময় এড়িয়ে য়েতে চাইছ, তারা হিংসার শাসন এমশঃ কাছে নিয়ে আসছ|
KJV : Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;
YLT : Who are putting away the day of evil, And ye bring nigh the seat of violence,
RV : Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;
RSV : O you who put far away the evil day, and bring near the seat of violence?
ASV : -ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;
ESV : O you who put far away the day of disaster and bring near the seat of violence?
ERVEN : You people are rushing toward the day of punishment. You bring near the rule of violence.

BNV : কিন্তু এখন তোমরা সব রকম আরাম উপভোগ করছ| তোমরা হাতির দাঁতের খাটে শুয়ে আছো এবং তোমরা শয্যায় হাত-পা ছড়িয়ে দিয়েছ| তোমরা আস্তাবল থেকে বাছুর এবং মেষের দল থেকে ছোট ছোট মেষগুলো এনে খাচ্ছো|
KJV : That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall;
YLT : Who are lying down on beds of ivory, And are spread out on their couches, And are eating lambs from the flock, And calves from the midst of the stall,
RV : that lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall;
RSV : "Woe to those who lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat lambs from the flock, and calves from the midst of the stall;

ERVEN : {But now} you lie on ivory beds and stretch out on your couches. You eat tender young lambs from the flock, and young calves from the stable.

BNV : তোমরা তোমাদের বীণা বাজাচ্ছো এবং দায়ূদের মত, বাজনা বাজানো অভ্যাস করছ|
KJV : That chant to the sound of the viol, [and] invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David;
YLT : Who are taking part according to the psaltery, Like David they invented for themselves instruments of music;
RV : that sing idle songs to the sound of the viol; that devise for themselves instruments of music, like David;
RSV : who sing idle songs to the sound of the harp, and like David invent for themselves instruments of music;
ASV : that sing idle songs to the sound of the viol; that invent for themselves instruments of music, like David;
ESV : who sing idle songs to the sound of the harp and like David invent for themselves instruments of music,
ERVEN : You play your harps, and like David, you practice on your musical instruments.

BNV : শৌখীন পেয়ালা থেকে তোমরা দ্রাক্ষারস পান করছ| এবং সব চেয়ে ভালো সুগন্ধি ব্যবহার করছ| এবং য়োষেফের পরিবার য়ে নষ্ট হয়ে যাচ্ছে তার জন্য মোটেই উদ্বিগ্ন নও|
KJV : That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.
YLT : Who are drinking with bowls of wine, And [with] chief perfumes anoint [themselves], And have not been pained for the breach of Joseph.
RV : that drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments; but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

ERVEN : You drink wine in fancy cups. You use the best perfumes. And it doesn't even bother you that Joseph's family is being destroyed.

BNV : ওই লোকরা এখন তাদের শয্যায় শরীর এলিযে দিয়েছে| কিন্তু তাদের সুসময় শেষ হবে| তাদের বন্দী হিসাবে বিদেশী রাজ্যে নিয়ে যাওয়া হবে| এবং তারাই হবে প্রথম নিয়ে যাওয়া বন্দী লোকের দল|
KJV : Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be removed.
YLT : Therefore now they remove at the head of the captives, And turned aside is the mourning-feast of stretched-out ones.
RV : Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive, and the revelry of them that stretched themselves shall pass away.
RSV : Therefore they shall now be the first of those to go into exile, and the revelry of those who stretch themselves shall pass away."

ESV : Therefore they shall now be the first of those who go into exile, and the revelry of those who stretch themselves out shall pass away."
ERVEN : You people are stretched out on your couches now, but your good times will end. You will be taken away as prisoners to a foreign country, and you will be some of the first people taken.

BNV : প্রভু আমার সদাপ্রভু তাঁর নাম ব্যবহার করেছেন এবং এই প্রতিশ্রুতি করেছেন:“য়ে জিনিসের জন্য যাকোব গর্ব করে সে জিনিসকে আমি ঘৃণা করি| আমি তাদের প্রাসাদগুলিকে ঘৃণা করি| তাই আমি শএুদের এই শহর এবং এর মধ্যে সব কিছু গ্রেপ্তার করতে দেব|”
KJV : The Lord GOD hath sworn by himself, saith the LORD the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.
YLT : Sworn hath the Lord Jehovah by Himself, An affirmation of Jehovah, God of Hosts: I am abominating the excellency of Jacob, And his high places I have hated, And I have delivered up the city and its fulness.
RV : The Lord GOD hath sworn by himself, saith the LORD, the God of hosts; I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.
RSV : The Lord GOD has sworn by himself (says the LORD, the God of hosts): "I abhor the pride of Jacob, and hate his strongholds; and I will deliver up the city and all that is in it."
ASV : The Lord Jehovah hath sworn by himself, saith Jehovah, the God of hosts: I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces; therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.
ESV : The Lord GOD has sworn by himself, declares the LORD, the God of hosts: "I abhor the pride of Jacob and hate his strongholds, and I will deliver up the city and all that is in it."
ERVEN : The Lord God used his own name and made an oath. The Lord God All-Powerful said: "I hate what Jacob is proud of. I hate his strong towers. So I will let an enemy take the city and everything in it."

BNV : সেই সময়, কোন বাড়ীতে যদি দশ জনও বেঁচে থাকে তবে তারাও মারা যাবে|
KJV : And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.
YLT : And if there are left ten persons in one house, It hath come to pass -- that they have died.
RV : And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.
RSV : And if ten men remain in one house, they shall die.
ASV : And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.
ESV : And if ten men remain in one house, they shall die.
ERVEN : At that time ten people in one house might survive, but they too will die.

BNV : এবং যখন কেউ মারা যায় তখন এক জন আত্মীয় সেই দেহ নিতে আসবে যাতে সে মৃতদেহ বের করে নিয়ে গিয়ে দাহ করতে পারে| আত্মীয়স্বজন অস্থিগুলোকে নিয়ে যাবার জন্য আসবে| আর ঘরের পিছনে থাকা কোন লোককে উ?শ্য করে চিত্কার করে বলবে, “এখানে কি তোমার কাছে কোন মৃতদেহ আছে?”সেই ব্যক্তিটি উত্তরে বলবে, “না়়়!”তখন সেই লোকটির আত্মীয় বাধা দিয়ে বলবে, “চুপ করো আমরা প্রভুর নাম ব্যবহার করতে চাই না|”
KJV : And a man’s uncle shall take him up, and he that burneth him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say unto him that [is] by the sides of the house, [Is there] yet [any] with thee? and he shall say, No. Then shall he say, Hold thy tongue: for we may not make mention of the name of the LORD.
YLT : And lifted him up hath his loved one, even his burner, To bring forth the bones from the house, And he said to him who [is] in the sides of the house, `Is there yet with thee?` And he said, `None,` then he said, `Hush! Save to make mention of the name of Jehovah.`
RV : And when a man-s uncle shall take him up, even he that burneth him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say unto him that is in the innermost parts of the house, Is there yet any with thee? and he shall say, No; then shall he say, Hold thy peace; for we may not make mention of the name of the LORD.
RSV : And when a man's kinsman, he who burns him, shall take him up to bring the bones out of the house, and shall say to him who is in the innermost parts of the house, "Is there still any one with you?" he shall say, "No"; and he shall say, "Hush! We must not mention the name of the LORD."
ASV : And when a mans uncle shall take him up, even he that burneth him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say unto him that is in the innermost parts of the house, Is there yet any with thee? and he shall say, No; then shall he say, Hold thy peace; for we may not make mention of the name of Jehovah.
ESV : And when one's relative, the one who anoints him for burial, shall take him up to bring the bones out of the house, and shall say to him who is in the innermost parts of the house, "Is there still anyone with you?" he shall say, "No"; and he shall say, "Silence! We must not mention the name of the LORD."
ERVEN : And when someone dies, a relative will come to get the body so that it can be taken out and burned. Relatives will come to take away the bones. They will call to anyone who might be hiding back in the house, "Are there any other dead bodies in there with you?" That person will answer, "No, —" But the relative will interrupt and say, "Hush! We must not mention the name of the Lord."

BNV : দেখো, ঈশ্বর আদেশ দেবেন এবং বৃহত্‌ বাড়ীগুলি টুকরো টুকরো হয়ে ভেঙ্গে পড়বে এবং ছোট বাড়ীগুলি ছোট ছোট খণ্ডে ভেঙ্গে পড়বে|
KJV : For, behold, the LORD commandeth, and he will smite the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.
YLT : For lo, Jehovah is commanding, And He hath smitten the great house [with] breaches, And the little house [with] clefts.
RV : For, behold, the LORD commandeth, and the great house shall be smitten with breaches, and the little house with clefts.
RSV : For behold, the LORD commands, and the great house shall be smitten into fragments, and the little house into bits.

ERVEN : Look, the Lord God will give the command, and the large houses will be broken to pieces, and the small houses will be broken to small pieces.

BNV : ঘোড়ারা কি আলগা পাথরের উপর দিয়ে ছোটে? না! লোকরা কি লাঙ্গল দেওয়ার জন্য গরুগুলোকে পাথরের ওপর ব্যবহার করে? না! কিন্তু তোমরা সব কিছু উলেট ফেলো| তোমরা ধার্ম্মিকতাকে বিষে পরিণত করেছিলে| আর ন্যায় বিচারকে তিক্ত বিষে পরিণত কর|
KJV : Shall horses run upon the rock? will [one] plow [there] with oxen? for ye have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock:
YLT : Do horses run on a rock? Doth one plough [it] with oxen? For ye have turned to gall judgment, And the fruit of righteousness to wormwood.
RV : Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow {cf15i there} with oxen? that ye have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood:
RSV : Do horses run upon rocks? Does one plow the sea with oxen? But you have turned justice into poison and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood --

ESV : Do horses run on rocks? Does one plow there with oxen? But you have turned justice into poison and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood-
ERVEN : Do horses run over loose rocks? No, and people don't use cows for plowing. But you turned everything upside down. You changed justice and goodness to bitter poison.

BNV : তোমরা লো-দেবরেআনন্দ কর| তোমরা বলছ, “আমরা আমাদের নিজস্ব শক্তিবলে কার্নেম অধিকার করেছি|”
KJV : Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?
YLT : O ye who are rejoicing at nothing, Who are saying, `Have we not by our strength taken to ourselves horns?`
RV : ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?
RSV : you who rejoice in Lodebar, who say, "Have we not by our own strength taken Karnaim for ourselves?"
ASV : ye that rejoice in a thing of nought, that say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?
ESV : you who rejoice in Lo-debar, who say, "Have we not by our own strength captured Karnaim for ourselves?"
ERVEN : You are happy in Lo-Debar. You say, "We have taken Karnaim by our own strength."

BNV : “কিন্তু ইস্রায়েল, আমি তোমাদের বিরুদ্ধে একটি জাতিকে পাঠাব| সেই জাতি তোমাদের সমস্ত দেশের মধ্যে গণ্ডগোলের সৃষ্টি করবে| লেবো-হমাত্‌ থেকে আরবাহ্-ব্রুক পর্য়ন্ত সবটা জুড়ে|” প্রভু সর্বশক্তিমান ঈশ্বর ওই কথাগুলো বলেছিলেন|
KJV : But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entering in of Hemath unto the river of the wilderness.
YLT : Surely, lo, I am raising against you a nation, O house of Israel, An affirmation of Jehovah, God of Hosts, And they have oppressed you from the coming in to Hamath, Unto the stream of the desert.
RV : For, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith the LORD, the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entering in of Hamath unto the brook of the Arabah.
RSV : "For behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel," says the LORD, the God of hosts; "and they shall oppress you from the entrance of Hamath to the Brook of the Arabah."
ASV : For, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith Jehovah, the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entrance of Hamath unto the brook of the Arabah.
ESV : "For behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel," declares the LORD, the God of hosts; "and they shall oppress you from Lebo-hamath to the Brook of the Arabah."
ERVEN : "But Israel, I will bring a nation against you that will bring troubles to your whole country from Lebo-Hamath to Arabah Brook." This is what the Lord God All- Powerful said.
