ଫିଲିପ୍ପ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ହାଇେ ବାହାରିଲେ। ସହେି ରାସ୍ତା ରେ ଜଣେ ନପୁଂସକ ସଙ୍ଗ ରେ ଦଖାେ ହେଲା। ସହେି ନଫୁସକ ଇଥିଓପିଆରୁ ଆସିଥିଲେ। ସେ କାଣ୍ଡାକି ନାମ୍ନୀ ରାଣୀଙ୍କର ଜଣେ ଉଚ୍ଚ ପଦସ୍ଥ କର୍ମଚ଼ାରୀ ଥିଲେ। ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତିର ଦାଯିତ୍ବ ରେ ଥିଲେ। ନଫୁସକ ଜଣକ ଉପାସନା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ୟିରୂଶାଲମକୁ ଯାଇଥିଲେ।

And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,

So Philip got ready and went. On the road he saw a man from Ethiopia. He was a eunuch and an important officer in the service of Candace, the queen of the Ethiopians. He was responsible for taking care of all her money. This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship.
