ದೇವಮನುಷ್ಯನು, “ಅದು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿತು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಕೊಡಲಿಯು ಬಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಎಲೀಷನಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಎಲೀಷನು ಒಂದು ಕಡ್ಡಿಯನ್ನು ಮುರಿದು ಅದನ್ನು ನೀರಿನೊಳಕ್ಕೆ ಎಸೆದನು. ಆ ಕಡ್ಡಿಯು ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಕೊಡಲಿಯನ್ನು ತೇಲುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿತು.
