ಬಾಬಿಲೋನ್ ರಾಜನಾದ ಎವೀಲ್ಮೆರೋದಕನು, ಯೆಹೂದದ ರಾಜನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾಖೀನನನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಯಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಯೆಹೋಯಾಖೀನನನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿದ ಮೂವತ್ತೇಳನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದ ನಂತರ ಇದು ಸಂಭವಿಸಿತು. ಎವೀಲ್ಮೆರೋದಕನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಹನ್ನೆರಡನೆ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೇಳನೆಯ ದಿನದಂದು ಇದು ಸಂಭವಿಸಿತು.

યહૂદાના રાજા યહોયાખીનને પણ બંદીવાસમાંથી મુકત કરવામાં આવ્યો. આમ આ દેશનિકાલના સાડત્રીસમા વર્ષમાં બન્યું. છેલ્લા માસના સત્તાવીસમે દિવસે બાબિલના રાજા એવીલ-મરોદાખે, પોતે ગાદીએ બેઠો અને તે જ વરસે યહૂદાના રાજા યહોયાખીનને માફી અપાઇ અને તેને કારાવાસમાંથી મુકત કરવામાં આવ્યો.
