ಆಗ ಹಿಲ್ಕೀಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಎಲ್ಯಾಕೀಮನೂ ಶೆಬ್ನನೂ ಯೋವನೂ ರಬ್ಷಾಕೆಗೆ--ನೀನು ದಯಮಾಡಿ ಅರಾಮ್ಯ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತ ನಾಡು. ಅದು ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತದೆ; ಗೋಡೆಯ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಜನರು ಕೇಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಬೇಡ ಅಂದರು.

ನಂತರ ಹಿಲ್ಕೀಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಎಲ್ಯಾಕೀಮ್, ಶೆಬ್ನ ಮತ್ತು ಯೋವ ಎಂಬುವರು ಸೇನಾಧಿಪತಿಗೆ, “ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ನಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡು. ನಾವು ಆ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಗೋಡೆಯ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಜನರಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಕೇಳುವುದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಬೇಡ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ਤਦ ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤ੍ਰ ਅਲਯਾਕੀਮ ਅਰ ਸ਼ਬਨਾ ਅਰ ਯੋਆਹ ਨੇ ਰਬਸ਼ਾਕੇਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਭਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਰਾਮੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੱਲ ਕਰੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਣਦੀਆਂ ਜੋ ਕੰਧ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਨ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ
