પરંતુ જે અદભુત વાતો મને બતાવવામાં આવી છે. તેના માટે વધારે પડતો ગર્વ અનુભવવો ના જોઈએ. તેથી કષ્ટદાયક સમસ્યામને આપવામાં આવી હતી. તે સમસ્યા તે શેતાન તરફથી આવેલો દૂત છે. તેને મને મારવા માટે અને વધુ પડતો ગર્વશાળી બનતો અટકાવવા માટે મોકલવામાં આવ્યો હતો.

And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
