BNV : বিলিয়ম বালাককে বলল, “এখানে সাতটি বেদী তৈরী করো এবং আমার জন্য সাতটি ষাঁড় এবং সাতটি মেষ তৈরী রাখো|”
KJV : And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams.
YLT : And Balaam saith unto Balak, `Build for me in this [place] seven altars, and make ready for me in this [place] seven bullocks and seven rams.`
RV : And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams.
RSV : And Balaam said to Balak, "Build for me here seven altars, and provide for me here seven bulls and seven rams."
ASV : And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams.

ERVEN : Balaam said, "Build seven altars here. And prepare seven bulls and seven rams for me."

BNV : বিলিয়মের কথামতো বালাক কাজগুলো করলেন| এরপর বালাক এবং বিলিয়ম প্রত্যেকটি বেদীর ওপরে একটি করে মেষ এবং একটি করে ষাঁড় উত্সর্গ করলেন|
KJV : And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on [every] altar a bullock and a ram.
YLT : And Balak doth as Balaam hath spoken, and Balak -- Balaam also -- offereth a bullock and a ram on the altar,
RV : And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram.
RSV : Balak did as Balaam had said; and Balak and Balaam offered on each altar a bull and a ram.

ERVEN : Balak did what that Balaam asked. Then Balak and Balaam killed a ram and a bull on each of the altars.

BNV : তখন বিলিয়ম বালাককে বললেন, “আপনি আপনার হোমবলির কাছে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকুন| আমি অন্য জায়গায় যাবো| হয়তো প্রভু আমার কাছে আসবেন এবং আমার যা বলা উচিত্‌ সেটা উনি আমায় বলে দেবেন|” এরপর বিলিয়ম একটি উঁচু জায়গায় চলে গেলেন|
KJV : And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the LORD will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place.
YLT : and Balaam saith to Balak, `Station thyself by thy burnt-offering and I go on, it may be Jehovah doth come to meet me, and the thing which He sheweth me -- I have declared to thee;` and he goeth [to] a high place.
RV : And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go; peradventure the LORD will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to a bare height.
RSV : And Balaam said to Balak, "Stand beside your burnt offering, and I will go; perhaps the LORD will come to meet me; and whatever he shows me I will tell you." And he went to a bare height.
ASV : And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt-offering, and I will go: peradventure Jehovah will come to meet me; and whatsoever he showeth me I will tell thee. And he went to a bare height.
ESV : And Balaam said to Balak, "Stand beside your burnt offering, and I will go. Perhaps the LORD will come to meet me, and whatever he shows me I will tell you." And he went to a bare height,
ERVEN : Then Balaam said to Balak, "Stay here near this altar. I will go to another place. Then the Lord will come to me, and he will tell me what I must say." Then Balaam went away to a higher place.

BNV : ঈশ্বর সেই স্থানে বিলিয়মের কাছে এলে বিলিয়ম বললেন, “আমি সাতটি বেদী তৈরী করেছি এবং উত্সর্গ হিসেবে প্রত্যেকটি বেদীর ওপরে একটি ষাঁড় এবং একটি মেষ হত্যা করেছি|”
KJV : And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon [every] altar a bullock and a ram.
YLT : And God cometh unto Balaam, and he saith unto Him, `The seven altars I have arranged, and I offer a bullock and a ram on the altar;`
RV : And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared the seven altars, and I have offered up a bullock and a ram on every altar.
RSV : And God met Balaam; and Balaam said to him, "I have prepared the seven altars, and I have offered upon each altar a bull and a ram."
ASV : And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared the seven altars, and I have offered up a bullock and a ram on every altar.
ESV : and God met Balaam. And Balaam said to him, "I have arranged the seven altars and I have offered on each altar a bull and a ram."
ERVEN : God came to Balaam at that place, and Balaam said, "I have prepared seven altars. And I have killed a bull and a ram as a sacrifice on each altar."

BNV : তখন প্রভু বিলিয়মকে তাঁর যা বলা উচিত্‌ তা বললেন| আর বললেন, “বালাকের কাছে ফিরে যাও, এবং আমি তোমাকে যা বলতে বলেছি সেই কথাগুলো বলো|”
KJV : And the LORD put a word in Balaam’s mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.
YLT : and Jehovah putteth a word in the mouth of Balaam, and saith, `Turn back unto Balak, and thus thou dost speak.`
RV : And the LORD put a word in Balaam-s mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.
RSV : And the LORD put a word in Balaam's mouth, and said, "Return to Balak, and thus you shall speak."
ASV : And Jehovah put a word in Balaams mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.
ESV : And the LORD put a word in Balaam's mouth and said, "Return to Balak, and thus you shall speak."
ERVEN : Then the Lord told Balaam what he should say. Then the Lord said, "Go back to Balak and say the things that I have given you to say."

BNV : তাম্প বিলিয়ম বালাকের কাছে ফিরে গেলেন| বালাক তখনও সেই হোমবলির কাছে দাঁড়িয়েছিলেন| মোয়াবের সমস্ত নেতারাও তাঁর সঙ্গে সেখানে দাঁড়িয়েছিলেন|
KJV : And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.
YLT : And he turneth back unto him, and lo, he is standing by his burnt-offering, he and all the princes of Moab.
RV : And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt offering, he, and all the princes of Moab.
RSV : And he returned to him, and lo, he and all the princes of Moab were standing beside his burnt offering.
ASV : And he returned unto him, and, lo, he was standing by his burnt-offering, he, and all the princes of Moab.
ESV : And he returned to him, and behold, he and all the princes of Moab were standing beside his burnt offering.
ERVEN : So Balaam went back to Balak. Balak was still standing near the altar, and all the leaders of Moab were standing there with them.

BNV : তখন বিলিয়ম এই কথাগুলো বললেন:মোয়াবের রাজা বালাক অরামের পূর্বদিকে পর্বত থেকে আমাকে এখানে নিয়ে এসেছেন| বালাক আমাকে বললেন, “আসুন, আমার জন্য যাকোবের বিরুদ্ধে বলুন| আসুন, ইস্রায়েলের লোকদের বিরুদ্ধে বলুন|”
KJV : And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, [saying,] Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.
YLT : And he taketh up his simile, and saith: `From Aram he doth lead me -- Balak king of Moab; From mountains of the east: Come -- curse for me Jacob, And come -- be indignant [with] Israel.
RV : And he took up his parable, and said, From Aram hath Balak brought me, The king of Moab from the mountains of the East: Come, curse me Jacob, And come, defy Israel.
RSV : And Balaam took up his discourse, and said, "From Aram Balak has brought me, the king of Moab from the eastern mountains: `Come, curse Jacob for me, and come, denounce Israel!'
ASV : And he took up his parable, and said, From Aram hath Balak brought me, The king of Moab from the mountains of the East: Come, curse me Jacob, And come, defy Israel.
ESV : And Balaam took up his discourse and said, "From Aram Balak has brought me, the king of Moab from the eastern mountains: 'Come, curse Jacob for me, and come, denounce Israel!'
ERVEN : Then Balaam said this: Balak, the king of Moab, brought me here from the eastern mountains of Aram. Balak said to me, "Come, curse Jacob for me. Come, speak against the Israelites."

BNV : কিন্তু ঈশ্বর এইসব লোকদের বিরুদ্ধে নন, সুতরাং আমিও তাদের বিরুদ্ধে কিছু বলতে পারবো না| ঈশ্বর তাদের খারাপ হোক এমন কিছু চান না| সুতরাং আমিও সেটা করতে পারবো না|
KJV : How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, [whom] the LORD hath not defied?
YLT : What -- do I pierce? -- God hath not pierced! And what -- am I indignant? -- Jehovah hath not been indignant!
RV : How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? And how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?
RSV : How can I curse whom God has not cursed? How can I denounce whom the LORD has not denounced?
ASV : How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? And how shall I defy, whom Jehovah hath not defied?
ESV : How can I curse whom God has not cursed? How can I denounce whom the LORD has not denounced?
ERVEN : But God is not against them, so I cannot speak against them either! The Lord has not asked for bad things to happen to these people. So I cannot do that either.

BNV : আমি পর্বতের ওপর থেকে ঐ লোকদের দেখছি| আমি উঁচু পর্বতশৃঙ্গ থেকে তাদের দেখছি| ঐ সমস্ত লোকরা একাই বাস করে| তারা অন্য কোনো জাতির অংশ নয়|
KJV : For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.
YLT : For from the top of rocks I see it, And from heights I behold it; Lo a people! alone it doth tabernacle, And among nations doth not reckon itself.
RV : For from the top of the rocks I see him, And from the hills I behold him: Lo, it is a people that dwell alone, And shall not be reckoned among the nations.
RSV : For from the top of the mountains I see him, from the hills I behold him; lo, a people dwelling alone, and not reckoning itself among the nations!

ERVEN : I see these people from the mountain. I see them from the high hills. They live alone. They are not part of another nation.

BNV : যাকোবের লোকদের কে গণনা করতে পারবে? তারা ধূলোর কণার মতোই সংখ্যায় প্রচুর| ইস্রায়েলের এক চতুর্থাংশ লোককেও কেউ গণনা করতে পারবে না| একজন ভালো লোকর মতো আমাকে মরতে দাও| তাদের মতো সুখে আমার জীবন শেষ হতে দাও|
KJV : Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth [part] of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!
YLT : Who hath counted the dust of Jacob, And the number of the fourth of Israel? Let me die the death of upright ones, And let my last end be like his!`
RV : Who can count the dust of Jacob, Or number the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, And let my last end be like his!
RSV : Who can count the dust of Jacob, or number the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my end be like his!"

ERVEN : Who can count Jacob's people? They are as many as the grains of dust. No one can count even a fourth of the Israelites. Let me die like a good man. Let my life end as happy as theirs!

BNV : বালাক বিলিয়মকে বললেন, “আপনি আমার জন্য কি করলেন? আমার শত্রুদের বিরুদ্ধে কথা বলার জন্য আমি আপনাকে এখানে এনেছিলাম| কিন্তু আপনি তাদের কেবলমাত্র আশীর্বাদ করলেন!”
KJV : And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed [them] altogether.
YLT : And Balak saith unto Balaam, `What hast thou done to me? to pierce mine enemies I have taken thee -- and lo, thou hast certainly blessed;`
RV : And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.
RSV : And Balak said to Balaam, "What have you done to me? I took you to curse my enemies, and behold, you have done nothing but bless them."

ERVEN : Balak said to Balaam, "What have you done to me? I brought you here to curse my enemies, but you have blessed them!"

BNV : কিন্তু বিলিয়ম উত্তর দিলেন, “প্রভু আমাকে যে কথা বলেছেন, আমি অবশ্যই সেই কথা বলবো|”
KJV : And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD hath put in my mouth?
YLT : and he answereth and saith, `That which Jehovah doth put in my mouth -- it do I not take heed to speak?`
RV : And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD putteth in my mouth?
RSV : And he answered, "Must I not take heed to speak what the LORD puts in my mouth?"
ASV : And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which Jehovah putteth in my mouth?
ESV : And he answered and said, "Must I not take care to speak what the LORD puts in my mouth?"
ERVEN : But Balaam answered, "I must say the things that the Lord tells me to say."

BNV : তখন বালাক তাকে বললেন, “তাহলে আমার সঙ্গে আরেকটি জায়গায় আসুন| সেই জায়গা থেকে আপনি তাদের দেখতে পাবেন| আপনি তাদের সকলকে দেখতে পাবেন না, কেবল প্রান্তভাগ দেখতে পাবেন| সেই জায়গা থেকে আমার জন্য তাদের বিরুদ্ধে আপনার পক্ষে কথা বলা সম্ভব হতে পারে|”
KJV : And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.
YLT : And Balak saith unto him, `Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, whence thou dost see it, only its extremity thou dost see, and all of it thou dost not see, and pierce it for me thence;`
RV : And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them; thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.
RSV : And Balak said to him, "Come with me to another place, from which you may see them; you shall see only the nearest of them, and shall not see them all; then curse them for me from there."
ASV : And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them; thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.
ESV : And Balak said to him, "Please come with me to another place, from which you may see them. You shall see only a fraction of them and shall not see them all. Then curse them for me from there."
ERVEN : Then Balak said to him, "So come with me to another place. At that place you can see more of these people. You cannot see all of them—you can only see part of them. Maybe from that place you can curse them for me."

BNV : সুতরাং বালাক বিলিয়মকে সোফীম ক্ষেত্রের ওপরে নিয়ে গেলেন| এই জায়গাটি ছিল পিস্গা পর্বতের ওপরে| সেই জায়গায় বালাক সাতটি বেদী তৈরী করে প্রত্যেকটি বেদীর ওপরে উত্সর্গস্বরূপ একটি করে ষাঁড় এবং একটি করে মেষ উত্সর্গ করলেন|
KJV : And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bullock and a ram on [every] altar.
YLT : and he taketh him [to] the field of Zophim, unto the top of Pisgah, and buildeth seven altars, and offereth a bullock and a ram on the altar.
RV : And he took him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered up a bullock and a ram on every altar.

ERVEN : So Balak led Balaam to Watchmen Hills. This was on top of Mount Pisgah. There Balak built seven altars and killed a bull and a ram on each altar as a sacrifice.

BNV : বিলিয়ম বালাককে বললেন, “এই স্থানে আপনার হোমবলির পাশে থাকুন| আমি ঈশ্বরের সঙ্গে দেখা করতে যাবো|”
KJV : And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt offering, while I meet [the LORD] yonder.
YLT : And he saith unto Balak, `Station thyself here by thy burnt-offering, and I -- I meet [Him] there;`
RV : And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt offering, while I meet {cf15i the LORD} yonder.
RSV : Balaam said to Balak, "Stand here beside your burnt offering, while I meet the LORD yonder."
ASV : And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt-offering, while I meet Jehovah yonder.
ESV : Balaam said to Balak, "Stand here beside your burnt offering, while I meet the LORD over there."
ERVEN : Then Balaam said to Balak, "Stay here by this altar while I will go meet with God over there."

BNV : সুতরাং ঈশ্বর বিলিয়মের কাছে এলেন এবং কি বলতে হবে তা বিলিয়মকে বলে দিলেন| এরপর প্রভু বিলিয়মকে বালাকের কাছে ফিরে গিয়ে সেই কথাগুলো বলতে বললেন|
KJV : And the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus.
YLT : and Jehovah cometh unto Balaam, and setteth a word in his mouth, and saith, `Turn back unto Balak, and thus thou dost speak.`
RV : And the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus shalt thou speak.
RSV : And the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, "Return to Balak, and thus shall you speak."
ASV : And Jehovah met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus shalt thou speak.
ESV : And the LORD met Balaam and put a word in his mouth and said, "Return to Balak, and thus shall you speak."
ERVEN : So the Lord came to Balaam and told Balaam what to say. Then he told Balaam to go back to Balak and say these things.

BNV : সুতরাং বিলিয়ম বালাকের কাছে ফিরে গেলেন| বালাক তখনও পর্য়ন্ত হোমবলির কাছে দাঁড়িয়েছিলেন| মোয়াবের নেতারা তার সঙ্গে সেখানেই ছিলেন| বালাক বিলিয়মকে আসতে দেখে বললেন, “প্রভু কি বলেছেন?”
KJV : And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken?
YLT : And he cometh unto him, and lo, he is standing by his burnt-offering, and the princes of Moab with him, and Balak saith to him: `What hath Jehovah spoken?`
RV : And he came to him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken?
RSV : And he came to him, and, lo, he was standing beside his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said to him, "What has the LORD spoken?"
ASV : And he came to him, and, lo, he was standing by his burnt-offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath Jehovah spoken?
ESV : And he came to him, and behold, he was standing beside his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said to him, "What has the LORD spoken?"
ERVEN : So Balaam went to Balak. Balak was still standing near the altar. The leaders of Moab were there with him. Balak saw Balaam coming and said, "What did the Lord say?"

BNV : বিলিয়ম তখন এই ভাববাণী বললেন:“দাঁড়াও বালাক এবং আমার কথা শোন| আমার কথা শোন, সিপ্পোরের পুত্র বালাক|
KJV : And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:
YLT : And he taketh up his simile, and saith: `Rise, Balak, and hear; Give ear unto me, son of Zippor!

ERVEN : Then Balaam said this: "Stand up, Balak, and listen to me. Hear me, Balak son of Zippor.

BNV : ঈশ্বর মানুষ নন; তিনি মিথ্য়ে বলবেন না| ঈশ্বর মানুষ নন; তাঁর সিদ্ধান্তের পরিবর্তন হবে না| যদি প্রভু বলেন যে তিনি কোনো কাজ করবেন, তখন তিনি অবশ্যই সে কাজ করবেন| যদি প্রভু যদি কোনো প্রতিজ্ঞা করেন তাহলে তিনি প্রতিজ্ঞা মতো কাজটি করবেন|
KJV : God [is] not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do [it?] or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
YLT : God [is] not a man -- and lieth, And a son of man -- and repenteth! Hath He said -- and doth He not do [it]? And spoken -- and doth He not confirm it?
RV : God is not a man, that he should lie; Neither the son of man, that he should repent: Hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
RSV : God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfil it?
ASV : God is not a man, that he should lie, Neither the son of man, that he should repent: Hath he said, and will he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and will he not make it good?
ESV : God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?
ERVEN : God is not a man; he will not lie. God is not a human being; his decisions will not change. If he says he will do something, then he will do it. If he makes a promise, then he will do what he promised.

BNV : প্রভু আমাকে ঐ সমস্ত লোকদের আশীর্বাদ করতে বলেছেন| প্রভু তাদের আশীর্বাদ করেছেন, সুতরাং আমি সেটা পরিবর্তন করতে পারব না|
KJV : Behold, I have received [commandment] to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.
YLT : Lo, to bless I have received: Yea, He blesseth, and I [can]not reverse it.
RV : Behold, I have received {cf15i commandment} to bless: And he hath blessed, and I cannot reverse it.
RSV : Behold, I received a command to bless: he has blessed, and I cannot revoke it.
ASV : Behold, I have received commandment to bless: And he hath blessed, and I cannot reverse it.
ESV : Behold, I received a command to bless: he has blessed, and I cannot revoke it.
ERVEN : He told me to bless them. He blessed them, so I cannot change that.

BNV : ঈশ্বর যাকোবের লোকদের মধ্যে কোনো অন্যায দেখেন নি| ইস্রায়েলের লোকদের মধ্যেও তিনি কোনো পাপ দেখেন নি| প্রভু তাদের ঈশ্বর এবং তিনি তাদের সঙ্গে আছেন| মহান রাজা তাদের সঙ্গে আছেন|
