BNV : ভোর হলে প্রধান যাজকরা ও সমাজপতিরা সবাইমিলেযীশুকে হত্যা করার চক্রান্ত করল৷
KJV : When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:

BNV : তারা তাঁকে বেঁধে রোমীয় রাজ্যপাল পীলাতের কাছে হাজির করল৷

BNV : যীশুকে শত্রুদের হাতে য়ে ধরিয়ে দিয়েছিল, সেই যিহূদা যখন দেখল যীশুকে দোষী সাব্যস্ত করা হয়েছে তখন তার মনে খুব ক্ষোভ হল৷ সে তখন যাজকদের ও সমাজপতিদের কাছে গিয়ে সেই ত্রিশটা রূপোর টাকা ফিরিয়ে দিয়ে বলল,
KJV : Then Judas, which had betrayeth him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
YLT : Then Judas -- he who delivered him up -- having seen that he was condemned, having repented, brought back the thirty silverlings to the chief priests, and to the elders, saying,

ERVEN : Judas saw that they had decided to kill Jesus. He was the one who had handed him over. When he saw what happened, he was very sorry for what he had done. So he took the 30 silver coins back to the priests and the older leaders.

BNV : ‘একজন নিরপরাধ লোককে হত্যা করার জন্য আপনাদের হাতে তুলে দিয়ে তাঁর প্রতি আমি বিশ্বাসঘাতকতা করেছি, আমি মহাপাপ করেছি৷ইহুদী নেতারা বলল, ‘তাতে আমাদের কি? তুমি বোঝগে যাও৷’
KJV : Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What [is that] to us? see thou [to that. ]
YLT : `I did sin, having delivered up innocent blood;` and they said, `What -- to us? thou shalt see!`
RV : saying, I have sinned in that I betrayed innocent blood. But they said, What is that to us? see thou {cf15i to it}.

ERVEN : Judas said, "I sinned. I handed over to you an innocent man to be killed." The Jewish leaders answered, "We don't care! That's a problem for you, not us."

BNV : তখন যিহূদা সেই টাকা মন্দিরের মধ্যে ছুঁড়ে ফেলে দিল, পরে বাইরে গিয়ে গলায় দড়ি দিয়ে মরল৷
KJV : And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.
YLT : and having cast down the silverlings in the sanctuary, he departed, and having gone away, he did strangle himself.

BNV : প্রধান যাজকরা সেইরূপোর টাকাগুলি কুড়িয়ে নিয়ে বললেন, ‘মন্দিরের তহবিলে এই টাকা জমা করা আমাদের বিধি-ব্যবস্থা বিরুদ্ধ কাজ, কারণ এটা খুনের টাকা৷’
KJV : And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
YLT : And the chief priests having taken the silverlings, said, `It is not lawful to put them to the treasury, seeing it is the price of blood;`

ERVEN : The leading priests picked up the silver coins in the Temple. They said, "Our law does not allow us to keep this money with the Temple money, because this money has paid for a man's death."

BNV : তাই তারা পরামর্শ করে ঐ টাকায় কুমোরদের একটা জমি কিনলেন৷ য়েন জেরুশালেমে য়েসব বিদেশী মারা যাবে, তাদের সেখানে কবর দেওযা য়েতে পারে৷
KJV : And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in.

BNV : সেই জন্য ঐ কবরখানাকে আজও লোকে ‘রক্তক্ষেত্র’ বলে৷
KJV : Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.

BNV : এর ফলে ভাববাদী যিরমিয়র ভাববাণী পূর্ণ হল:‘তারা সেইত্রিশটা রূপোর টাকা নিল, এটাই হল তাঁর মূল্য, ইস্রায়েলের জনগণই তাঁর মূল্য নির্ধারণ করেছিল৷
KJV : Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;
YLT : Then was fulfilled that spoken through Jeremiah the prophet, saying, `And I took the thirty silverlings, the price of him who hath been priced, whom they of the sons of Israel did price,

ERVEN : This showed the full meaning of what Jeremiah the prophet said, "They took 30 silver coins. That was how much the people of Israel decided to pay for his life.

BNV : আর প্রভুর নির্দেশ অনুসারেই সেই টাকা দিয়ে তারা কুমোরের জমি কিনেছিল৷’৷

BNV : কিন্তু প্রধান যাজকরা ও ইহুদী নেতারা সমানে যখন তাঁর বিরুদ্ধে দোষ দিচ্ছিল, তখন তিনি তার একটারও জবাব দিলেন না৷
KJV : And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

KJV : Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?

BNV : কিন্তু যীশু তাঁকে কোন জবাব দিলেন না, এমন কি তাঁর বিরুদ্ধে একটা অভিযোগেরও উত্তর দিলেন না, এতে পীলাত আশ্চর্য হয়ে গেলেন৷
KJV : And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.
YLT : And he did not answer him, not even to one word, so that the governor did wonder greatly.

BNV : রাজ্যপালের রীতি অনুসারে প্রত্যেক নিস্তারপর্বের সময় জনসাধারণের ইচ্ছানুযাযী য়ে কোন কয়েদীকে তিনি মুক্ত করে দিতেন৷
KJV : Now at [that] feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.

BNV : তাই লোকরা সেখানে একসঙ্গে জড়ো হলে পীলাত তাদের জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, ‘তোমাদের জন্য আমি কাকে ছেড়ে দেব? তোমরা কি চাও, বারাব্বাকে বা যীশু, যাকে খ্রীষ্ট বলে তাকে?’

BNV : কারণ পীলাত জানতেন, তারা যীশুর ওপর ঈর্ষাপরায়ণ হয়ে তাঁকে ধরিয়ে দিয়েছিল৷

BNV : পীলাত যখন বিচার আসনে বসে আছেন, সেই সময় তাঁর স্ত্রী তাঁকে বলে পাঠালেন, ‘ঐ নির্দোষ লোকটির প্রতি তুমি কিছু করো না, কারণ রাত্রে স্বপ্নে আমি তাঁর বিষয়ে যা দেখেছি তাতে আজ বড়ই উদ্বেগে কাটছে৷’
KJV : When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.
YLT : And as he is sitting on the tribunal, his wife sent unto him, saying, `Nothing -- to thee and to that righteous one, for many things did I suffer to-day in a dream because of him.`
RV : And while he was sitting on the judgment-seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that righteous man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

ERVEN : While Pilate was sitting there in the place for judging, his wife sent a message to him. It said, "Don't do anything with that man. He is not guilty. Last night I had a dream about him, and it troubled me very much."

BNV : কিন্তু প্রধান যাজকরা ও ইহুদী নেতারা জনতাকে প্ররোচনা দিতে লাগল, য়েন তারা বারাব্বাকে ছেড়ে দিতে ও যীশুকে মৃত্যুদণ্ড দেওযার কথা বলে৷
KJV : But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
YLT : And the chief priests and the elders did persuade the multitudes that they might ask for themselves Barabbas, and might destroy Jesus;

BNV : তখন রাজ্যপাল তাদের জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, ‘এই দুজনের মধ্যে তোমরা কাকে চাও য়ে আমি তোমাদের জন্য ছেড়ে দিই?’ তারা বলল, ‘বারাব্বাকে!’
KJV : The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

BNV : পীলাত তখন তাদের বললেন, ‘তাহলে যীশু যাকে মশীহ বলে তাকে নিয়ে কি করব?’তারা সবাইবলল, ‘ওকে ক্রুশে দেওযা হোক৷’

BNV : পীলাত বললেন, ‘কেন? ও কি অন্যায় করেছে?’ কিন্তু তারা তখন আরো জোরে চিত্‌কার করতে লাগল, ‘ওকে ক্রুশে দাও, ক্রুশে দাও!’
KJV : And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

BNV : পীলাত যখন দেখলেন য়ে তাঁর চেষ্টার কোন ফল হল না, বরং আরো গোলমাল হতে লাগল, তখন তিনি জল নিয়ে লোকদের সামনে হাত ধুয়ে বললেন, ‘এই লোকের রক্তপাতের জন্য আমি দাযী নই৷’ এটা তোমাদেরইদায়৷
KJV : When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but [that] rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed [his] hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye [to it. ]
YLT : And Pilate having seen that it profiteth nothing, but rather a tumult is made, having taken water, he did wash the hands before the multitude, saying, `I am innocent from the blood of this righteous one; ye -- ye shall see;`

ERVEN : Pilate saw that there was nothing he could do to make the people change. In fact, it looked as if there would be a riot. So he took some water and washed his hands in front of them all. He said, "I am not guilty of this man's death. You are the ones who are doing it!"

BNV : এই কথার জবাবে লোকেরা সমস্বরে বলল, ‘আমরা ও আমাদের সন্তানরা ওব রক্তের জন্য দাযী থাকব৷’
KJV : Then answered all the people, and said, His blood [be] on us, and on our children.
YLT : and all the people answering said, `His blood [is] upon us, and upon our children!`
RV : And all the people answered and said, His blood {cf15i be} on us, and on our children.
