BNV : “যিহূদার লোকদের পাপ এক জায়গায় লেখা আছে যেখানে সেইগুলো মোছা যায় না| লোহার কলম দিয়ে এবং ডগায হীরেদেওয়া কলম দিয়ে ঐ পাপগুলো পাথরের ওপর লেখা হয়েছে| এবং ঐ সব পাথরগুলি হল তাদের হৃদয়| ঐ সব পাপ লেখা হয়েছে তাদের উত্সর্গের বেদীর শৃঙ্গে|
KJV : The sin of Judah [is] written with a pen of iron, [and] with the point of a diamond: [it is] graven upon the table of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars;
YLT : The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, With the point of a diamond, Graven on the tablet of their heart, And on the horns of your altars,

ERVEN : "The sins of the people of Judah are written down in a place where they cannot be erased. Their sins were cut into stone with an iron pen. Their sins were cut into stone with a diamond-tipped pen, and that stone is their heart. Their sins were cut into the horns of their altars.

BNV : তাদের সন্তানরা মনে রাখে সেই উত্সর্গের বেদীর কথা যা মূর্ত্তিসমূহকে উত্সর্গ করা হয়েছিল| তারা মনে রাখে সেই কাঠের খুঁটিগুলিকে য়েগুলো উত্সর্গ করা হয়েছিল আশেরাকে| তারা সেই সব জিনিষ মনে রাখে পাহাড় চূড়ায় এবং গাছের নীচে|
KJV : Whilst their children remember their altars and their groves by the green trees upon the high hills.
YLT : As their sons remember their altars and their shrines, By the green tree, by the high hills.

ERVEN : Their children remember the altars that were dedicated to false gods. They remember the wooden poles that were dedicated to Asherah. They remember those things under the green trees and on the hills.

BNV : তারা মনে করবে উন্মুক্ত প্রান্তরে পর্বতের ওপরে কি হয়েছিল| যিহূদার লোকদের প্রচুর ধনসম্পত্তি| আমি এই সব অন্য লোকদের বিলিযে দেব| সেই লোকরা তোমাদের দেশে মূর্ত্তিসমূহের সমস্ত উচ্চ স্থানগুলি ধ্বংস করে দেবে| তোমরা সেই সমস্ত জায়গায় পূজা করেছো| এবং সেটা একটা পাপ|
KJV : O my mountain in the field, I will give thy substance [and] all thy treasures to the spoil, [and] thy high places for sin, throughout all thy borders.
YLT : O My mountain in the field -- thy strength, All thy treasures -- for a prey I give, Thy high places for sin in all thy borders.

ERVEN : They remember those things on the mountains in the open country. The people of Judah have many treasures. I will give those things to other people. People will destroy all the high places in your country. You worshiped there, and that was a sin.

BNV : আমি তোমাদের য়ে দেশ দিয়েছিলাম তা তোমরা হারাবে| তোমাদের শএুদের আমি তোমাদের দেশ নিয়ে নিতে দেব এবং তোমাদের তাদের দাস হতে দেব এমন এক দেশে য়েটা তোমরা জানো না| কারণ আমি ভীষণ রুদ্ধ| আমার রোধ হল গনগনে আগুনের মতো এবং তোমরা সেই আগুনের লেলিহান শিখায় চির দিনের জন্য পুড়ে ছাই হয়ে যাবে|”
KJV : And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, [which] shall burn for ever.
YLT : And thou hast let go -- even through thyself, Of thine inheritance that I gave to thee, And I have caused thee to serve thine enemies, In a land that thou hast not known, For a fire ye have kindled in Mine anger, Unto the age it doth burn.

ERVEN : You will lose the land I gave you. I will let your enemies take you to be their slaves. That is because I am very angry. My anger is like a hot fire, and you will be burned forever."

BNV : প্রভু এগুলি বললেন, “যারা অন্যদের বিশ্বাস করে, তাদের জীবনে অমঙ্গল ঘটবে| অন্যদের শক্তির ওপর যারা ভরসা করে থাকে তাদের ক্ষেত্রেও অমঙ্গল ঘটবে| কারণ ঐ লোকরা প্রভুর প্রতি বিশ্বাস হারিযেছে|
KJV : Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
YLT : Thus said Jehovah: Cursed [is] the man who doth trust in man, And hath made flesh his arm, And from Jehovah whose heart turneth.

ERVEN : This is what the Lord says: "Bad things will happen to those who trust only other people. Bad things will happen to those who depend on others for strength. That is because they have stopped trusting the Lord.

BNV : ঐ সমস্ত লোকরা হল জনমানবহীন মরুভূমির কাঁটা ঝোপের মতো| তপ্ত, শুষ্ক এবং অনুর্বর মাটিতেও তারা জন্মায়| সেই সব ঝোপঝাড় জানে না ঈশ্বর কত ভাল জিনিস দিতে পারেন|
KJV : For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, [in] a salt land and not inhabited.
YLT : And he hath been as a naked thing in a desert, And doth not see when good cometh, And hath inhabited parched places in a wilderness, A salt land, and not inhabited.

ERVEN : They are like a bush in a desert where no one lives. It is in a hot and dry land. It is in a bad soil. That bush does not know about the good things that God can give.

BNV : কিন্তু য়ে ব্যক্তি প্রভুতে বিশ্বাস রাখবে, সে প্রভুর আশীর্বাদ থেকে বঞ্চিত হবে না| কারণ প্রভু তাকে দেখাবেন য়ে তাঁকে বিশ্বাস করা যায়|
KJV : Blessed [is] the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
YLT : Blessed [is] the man who trusteth in Jehovah, And whose confidence hath been Jehovah.

BNV : এই ব্যক্তি জলের ধারে রোপণ করা গাছের মতো শক্তিশালী হয়ে উঠবে| য়ে গাছের লম্বা শিকড় জলের সন্ধান পাবে, গ্রীষ্মের সময় সেই গাছ ভীত হবে না| সেই গাছের পাতা সর্বদা সবুজ থাকবে| খরার বছরেও সে নিশ্চিন্ত থাকবে| ফলদান থেকে সে কখনও বিরত থাকবে না|
KJV : For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and [that] spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
YLT : And hath been as a tree planted by waters, And by a rivulet he sendeth forth his roots, And he doth not see when heat cometh, And his leaf hath been green, And in a year of dearth he is not sorrowful, Nor doth he cease from making fruit.

ERVEN : They will be strong like trees planted near a stream that send out roots to the water. They have nothing to fear when the days get hot. Their leaves are always green. They never worry, even in a year that has no rain. They always produce fruit.

BNV : “মানুষের মন খুবই কৌশলপূর্ণ| তার অসুস্থ অবস্থার কোন চিকিত্‌সা নেই| কিন্তু আমিই প্রভু এবং আমি মানুষের হৃদয়ও পরিষ্কার দেখতে পাই| আমি এক জন মানুষের মনকে পরীক্ষা করতে পারি| আমি নির্ধারণ করতে পারি কার কি থাকা উচিত্‌| আমি এক জন মানুষের কর্মের ফল নির্ধারণ করতে পারি|
KJV : The heart [is] deceitful above all [things,] and desperately wicked: who can know it?
YLT : Crooked [is] the heart above all things, And it [is] incurable -- who doth know it?
RV : The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is desperately sick: who can know it?

ERVEN : "Nothing can hide its evil as well as the human mind. It can be very sick, and no one really understands it.

KJV : I the LORD search the heart, [I] try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, [and] according to the fruit of his doings.
YLT : I Jehovah do search the heart, try the reins, Even to give to each according to his way, According to the fruit of his doings.

ERVEN : But I am the Lord, and I can look into a person's heart. I can test a person's mind and decide what each one should have. I can give each person the right payment for what they do.

BNV : কখনো কখনো একটা পাখী অন্যের ডিমে তা দিয়ে তাকে ফোটায| ঠিক একই ভাবে একজন মানুষ ঠকায এবং অন্যের টাকা আত্মসাত্‌ করে| সেই টাকা সে তার অর্ধেক জীবনে উড়িযে দেয়| জীবনের শেষ পর্য়াযে সে বুঝতে পারে য়ে সে কত বড় নির্বোধ|”
KJV : As the partridge sitteth [on eggs,] and hatcheth [them] not; [so] he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.
YLT : A partridge hatching, and not bringing forth, [Is] one making wealth, and not by right, In the midst of his days he doth forsake it, And in his latter end -- he is a fool.

BNV : একদম প্রথম থেকেই আমাদের উপাসনাগৃহে ছিল ঈশ্বরের মহিমান্বিত সিংহাসন| তা ভীষণ গুরুত্বপূর্ণ স্থান|

KJV : O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, [and] they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.

BNV : যিহূদার লোকরা আমাকে প্রশ্ন করেই চলেছে| তারা বলছে, “যিরমিয়, প্রভুর বার্তার কি হল? আমাদের দেখতে হবে ঐ বার্তা সত্যি হবে|”
KJV : Behold, they say unto me, Where [is] the word of the LORD? let it come now.

ERVEN : The people of Judah continue to ask me questions. They say, "Jeremiah, what about the message from the Lord? Let's see that message come true."

BNV : প্রভু, আমি আপনার কাছ থেকে দৌড়ে পালাই নি বরং আমি আপনাকেই অনুসরণ করে চলেছি| আমি আপনারই ইচ্ছে মতো মেষপালক হয়েছি| আমি কখনোই চাইনি ভয়ঙ্কর দিন আসুক| প্রভু আমি যা বলেছিলাম, তা সব আপনি জানেন| যা ঘটেছে তার সব কিছুই আপনি নিজের চোখে দেখেছেন|
KJV : As for me, I have not hastened from [being] a pastor to follow thee: neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was [right] before thee.
YLT : And I hastened not from feeding after Thee, And the desperate day I have not desired, Thou -- Thou hast known, The produce of my lips, before Thy face it hath been,
RV : As for me, I have not hastened from being a shepherd after thee; neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was before thy face.

ERVEN : Lord, I did not run away from you. I followed you. I became the shepherd you wanted. I did not want the terrible day to come. Lord, you know what I said. You see all that is happening.

BNV : প্রভু আমাকে ধ্বংস করবেন না| আমি অশান্তির সময়গুলোতে আপনার ওপরে নির্ভর করে থাকি|
KJV : Be not a terror unto me: thou [art] my hope in the day of evil.
YLT : Be not Thou to me for a terror, My hope [art] Thou in a day of evil.

ERVEN : Lord, don't ruin me. I depend on you in times of trouble.

BNV : লোকরা আমাকে নির্য়াতন করছে| ওদের লজ্জিত করুন| কিন্তু আমাকে নিরাশ করবেন না| ঐ মানুষদের ভয় পেতে দিন| কিন্তু আমাকে ভীত করে তুলবেন না| প্রলয়ের সেই ভয়ঙ্কর দিনগুলো আমার শএুদের জীবনে আসুক| তাদের চূর্ণ করুন| বারবার তাদের চূর্ণ করুন|
KJV : Let them be confounded that persecute me, but let not me be confounded: let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed: bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.
YLT : Let my pursuers be ashamed, and let not me be ashamed -- me! Let them be affrighted, and let not me be affrighted -- me! Bring in on them a day of evil, And a second time [with] destruction destroy them.

ERVEN : People are hurting me. Make them ashamed, but don't disappoint me. Let them be filled with fear, but don't give me any reason to fear. Bring the terrible day of disaster to my enemies. Break them, and break them again.

BNV : প্রভু, আমাকে এই কথাগুলি বললেন: “যিরমিয়, যাও লোকদের ফটকের কাছে গিয়ে দাঁড়াও য়েটার মধ্যে দিয়ে যিহূদার রাজা ভেতরে ঢোকে এবং বাইরে যায়| লোকদের আমার বার্তা শোনাও এবং তারপর জেরুশালেমের প্রত্যেকটি ফটকে গিয়ে একই কাজ করো|”
KJV : Thus said the LORD unto me; Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, whereby the kings of Judah come in, and by the which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;

ERVEN : This is what the Lord said to me: "Jeremiah, go and stand at the People's Gate, where the kings of Judah go in and out. {Tell the people my message,} and then go to all the other gates of Jerusalem and do the same."

And Jerusalem will have people living in it forever.

ERVEN : People will come to Jerusalem from the towns and villages of Judah, from the land where the tribe of Benjamin lives, from the western foothills, from the hill country, and from the Negev. All these people will bring burnt offerings, sacrifices, grain offerings, incense, and thank offerings to the Temple of the Lord in Jerusalem.
