BNV : একদিন যাকোব শুনল য়ে লাবনের পুত্ররা কথাবার্তা বলছেন| তারা বলল, “আমাদের পিতার সবকিছুই যাকোব নিয়ে নিয়েছে| যাকোব খুবই ধনী হয়েছে| ওর এই ধনের সবটাই সে আমাদের পিতার কাছ থেকে নিয়েছে|”
KJV : And he heard the words of Laban’s sons, saying, Jacob hath taken away all that [was] our father’s; and of [that] which [was] our father’s hath he gotten all this glory.
YLT : And he heareth the words of Laban`s sons, saying, `Jacob hath taken all that our father hath; yea, from that which our father hath, he hath made all this honour;`
RV : And he heard the words of Laban-s sons, saying, Jacob hath taken away all that was our father-s; and of that which was our father-s hath he gotten all this glory.
RSV : Now Jacob heard that the sons of Laban were saying, "Jacob has taken all that was our father's; and from what was our father's he has gained all this wealth."
ASV : And he heard the words of Labans sons, saying, Jacob hath taken away all that was our fathers; and of that which was our fathers hath he gotten all this glory.
ESV : Now Jacob heard that the sons of Laban were saying, "Jacob has taken all that was our father's, and from what was our father's he has gained all this wealth."
ERVEN : One day Jacob heard Laban's sons talking. They said, "Jacob has taken everything that our father owned. He has become rich—and he has taken all this wealth from our father."

BNV : যাকোব লক্ষ্য করল য়ে লাবন অতীতের মত আর বন্ধুমনোভাবাপন্ন নয়|
KJV : And Jacob beheld the countenance of Laban, and, behold, it [was] not toward him as before.
YLT : and Jacob seeth the face of Laban, and lo, it is not with him as heretofore.
RV : And Jacob beheld the countenance of Laban, and, behold, it was not toward him as beforetime.
RSV : And Jacob saw that Laban did not regard him with favor as before.

BNV : প্রভু যাকোবকে বললেন, “তোমার পূর্বপুরুষেরা য়ে দেশে বাস করতেন, তোমার সেই নিজের দেশে ফিরে যাও| আমি তোমার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে থাকব|”
KJV : And the LORD said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee.
YLT : And Jehovah saith unto Jacob, `Turn back unto the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred, and I am with thee.`
RV : And the LORD said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee.
RSV : Then the LORD said to Jacob, "Return to the land of your fathers and to your kindred, and I will be with you."

ERVEN : The Lord said to Jacob, "Go back to your own land where your ancestors lived. I will be with you."

BNV : তাই যাকোব রাহেল ও লেয়াকে সেই মাঠে দেখা করতে বলল| যেখানে সে তার মেষপাল ও ছাগপাল রেখেছিল|
KJV : And Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to the field unto his flock,
YLT : And Jacob sendeth and calleth for Rachel and for Leah to the field unto his flock;

BNV : যাকোব রাহেল ও লেয়াকে বলল, “আমি দেখছি য়ে তোমাদের পিতা আমার ওপর রেগে গেছেন| অতীতে সব সময় তিনি আমার সঙ্গে বন্ধুত্বের মনোভাব পোষণ করতেন কিন্তু তিনি আর সেরকম নন| কিন্তু আমার পিতা ঈশ্বর আমার সঙ্গে রয়েছেন|
KJV : And said unto them, I see your father’s countenance, that it [is] not toward me as before; but the God of my father hath been with me.
YLT : and saith to them, `I am beholding your father`s face -- that it is not towards me as heretofore, and the God of my father hath been with me,
RV : and said unto them, I see your father-s countenance, that it is not toward me as beforetime; but the God of my father hath been with me.
RSV : and said to them, "I see that your father does not regard me with favor as he did before. But the God of my father has been with me.

ERVEN : He said to them, "I have seen that your father is angry with me. He was always friendly with me in the past, but now he is not.

BNV : বছর আমি আপনার পশু লাভ করার জন্য খেটেছি| এবং এই সময় আপনি দশ বার আমার বেতন বদলেছেন|
KJV : And ye know that with all my power I have served your father.
YLT : and ye -- ye have known that with all my power I have served your father,
RV : And ye know that with all my power I have served your father.
RSV : You know that I have served your father with all my strength;
ASV : And ye know that will all my power I have served your father.
ESV : You know that I have served your father with all my strength,
ERVEN : You both know that I have worked as hard as I could for your father.

BNV : কিন্তু তোমাদের পিতা আমাকে ঠকিয়েছেন| এই নিয়ে দশবার তিনি আমার বেতন বদলেছেন| কিন্তু এই সকল সময় ঈশ্বর লাবনের সমস্ত চালাকি হতে আমাকে রক্ষা করেছেন|
KJV : And your father hath deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me.
YLT : and your father hath played upon me, and hath changed my hire ten times; and God hath not suffered him to do evil with me.
RV : And your father hath deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me.

BNV : “একবার লাবন বললেন, “বিন্দু চিহ্নিত সমস্ত ছাগল তুমি রাখতে পার| তাই হবে তোমার বেতন|’ তিনি এই কথা বলার পর সমস্ত পশুর বিন্দু চিহ্নিত শাবক জন্মাল| তাই সেসব আমারই হল| কিন্তু তখন লাবন বললেন, ‘সব বিন্দু চিহ্নিত ছাগল আমার| তুমি ডোরা কাটা ছাগগুলি রাখতে পার| সেই হবে তোমার বেতন|’ তিনি একথা বলার পর সমস্ত পশু ডোরাকাটা শাবকের জন্ম দিল|
KJV : If he said thus, The speckled shall be thy wages; then all the cattle bare speckled: and if he said thus, The ringstraked shall be thy hire; then bare all the cattle ringstraked.
YLT : `If he say thus: The speckled are thy hire, then bare all the flock speckled ones; and if he say thus: The ring-straked are thy hire, then bare all the flock ring-straked;
RV : If he said thus, The speckled shall be thy wages; then all the flock bare speckled: and if he said thus, The ringstraked shall be thy wages; then bare all the flock ringstraked.
RSV : If he said, `The spotted shall be your wages,' then all the flock bore spotted; and if he said, `The striped shall be your wages,' then all the flock bore striped.
ASV : If he said thus, The speckled shall be thy wages; then all the flock bare speckled: and if he said thus, The ringstreaked shall be thy wages; then bare all the flock ringstreaked.
ESV : If he said, 'The spotted shall be your wages,' then all the flock bore spotted; and if he said, 'The striped shall be your wages,' then all the flock bore striped.
ERVEN : "At one time Laban said, 'You can keep all the goats with spots. This will be your pay.' After he said this, all the animals gave birth to spotted goats, so they were all mine. But then Laban said, 'I will keep the spotted goats. You can have all the striped goats. That will be your pay.' After he said this, all the animals gave birth to striped goats.

BNV : সুতরাং ঈশ্বরই পশুগুলিকে তোমার পিতার কাছ থেকে নিয়ে আমায় দিয়েছেন|
KJV : Thus God hath taken away the cattle of your father, and given [them] to me.
YLT : and God taketh away the substance of your father, and doth give to me.

BNV : “একটি স্বপ্নে আমি দেখলাম, দলের সঙ্গে সঙ্গম করছে য়ে পুরুষ ছাগলরা, তাদেরই গায়ে ডোরাকাটা এবং ছোপমারা|
KJV : And it came to pass at the time that the cattle conceived, that I lifted up mine eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the rams which leaped upon the cattle [were] ringstraked, speckled, and grisled.
YLT : `And it cometh to pass at the time of the flock conceiving, that I lift up mine eyes and see in a dream, and lo, the he-goats, which are going up on the flock, [are] ring-straked, speckled, and grisled;
RV : And it came to pass at the time that the flock conceived, that I lifted up mine eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the he-goats which leaped upon the flock were ringstraked, speckled, and grisled.
RSV : In the mating season of the flock I lifted up my eyes, and saw in a dream that the he-goats which leaped upon the flock were striped, spotted, and mottled.

ESV : In the breeding season of the flock I lifted up my eyes and saw in a dream that the goats that mated with the flock were striped, spotted, and mottled.
ERVEN : "I had a dream during the time when the animals were mating. I saw that the only male goats that were mating were the ones with stripes and spots.

BNV : ঈশ্বরের দূত সেই স্বপ্নে আমার সঙ্গে কথা বললেন, “যাকোব!”“আমি উত্তর দিলাম, ‘আজ্ঞে!’
KJV : And the angel of God spake unto me in a dream, [saying,] Jacob: And I said, Here [am] I.
YLT : and the messenger of God saith unto me in the dream, Jacob, and I say, Here [am] I.
RV : And the angel of God said unto me in the dream, Jacob: and I said, Here am I.
RSV : Then the angel of God said to me in the dream, `Jacob,' and I said, `Here I am!'
ASV : And the angel of God said unto me in the dream, Jacob: and I said, Here am I.

ERVEN : The angel of God spoke to me in that dream. The angel said, 'Jacob!' "I answered, 'Yes!'

BNV : “দূত আমাকে উত্তর দিলেন, “দেখ, কেবল ডোরাকাটা ও বিন্দু চিহ্নিত ছাগলরাই সঙ্গম করছে| আমিই তা ঘটাচ্ছি| লাবন তোমার প্রতি য়ে সমস্ত অন্যায় করেছেন তার সমস্তই আমি দেখেছি| আমি এমনটা করছি যাতে সমস্ত ছাগ শাবক তোমারই হয়|
KJV : And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle [are] ringstraked, speckled, and grisled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee.
YLT : `And He saith, Lift up, I pray thee, thine eyes, and see -- all the he-goats which are going up on the flock [are] ring-straked, speckled, and grisled, for I have seen all that Laban is doing to thee;

ERVEN : "The angel said, 'Look, only the striped and spotted goats are mating. I am causing this to happen. I have seen all the wrong things Laban has been doing to you. I am doing this so that you can have all the new baby goats.

BNV : আমি সেই ঈশ্বর যিনি বৈথেলে তোমার কাছে এসেছিলেন| সেই স্থানে তুমি এক বেদী স্থাপন করেছিলে| তুমি সেই বেদীতে ওলিভ তেল ঢেলেছিলে এবং আমার কাছে এক প্রতিজ্ঞা করেছিলে| এখন আমি চাই য়ে তুমি য়ে দেশে জন্মেছিলে সেই দেশে ফিরে যাবার জন্য প্রস্তুত হও|”
KJV : I [am] the God of Bethel, where thou anointedst the pillar, [and] where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy kindred.
YLT : I [am] the God of Bethel where thou hast anointed a standing pillar, where thou hast vowed a vow to me; now, arise, go out from this land, and turn back unto the land of thy birth.`
RV : I am the God of Beth-el, where thou anointedst a pillar, where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy nativity.
RSV : I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed a pillar and made a vow to me. Now arise, go forth from this land, and return to the land of your birth.'"
ASV : I am the God of Beth-el, where thou anointedst a pillar, where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy nativity.
ESV : I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed a pillar and made a vow to me. Now arise, go out from this land and return to the land of your kindred.'"
ERVEN : I am the God who came to you at Bethel, and there you made an altar, poured olive oil on it, and made a promise to me. Now I want you to be ready to go back to the country where you were born.'"

BNV : বছর আমি আপনার দুই কন্যা লাভ করার জন্য খেটেছি| শেষ
KJV : And Rachel and Leah answered and said unto him, [Is there] yet any portion or inheritance for us in our father’s house?
YLT : And Rachel answereth -- Leah also -- and saith to him, `Have we yet a portion and inheritance in the house of our father?
RV : And Rachel and Leah answered and said unto him, Is there yet any portion or inheritance for us in our father-s house?
RSV : Then Rachel and Leah answered him, "Is there any portion or inheritance left to us in our father's house?
ASV : And Rachel and Leah answered and said unto him, Is there yet any portion or inheritance for us in our fathers house?
ESV : Then Rachel and Leah answered and said to him, "Is there any portion or inheritance left to us in our father's house?
ERVEN : Rachel and Leah answered Jacob, "Our father has nothing to give us when he dies.

KJV : Are we not counted of him strangers? for he hath sold us, and hath quite devoured also our money.
YLT : have we not been reckoned strangers to him? for he hath sold us, and he also utterly consumeth our money;
RV : Are we not counted of him strangers? for he hath sold us, and hath also quite devoured our money.
RSV : Are we not regarded by him as foreigners? For he has sold us, and he has been using up the money given for us.
ASV : Are we not accounted by him as foreigners? for he hath sold us, and hath also quite devoured our money.
ESV : Are we not regarded by him as foreigners? For he has sold us, and he has indeed devoured our money.
ERVEN : He treated us like strangers. He sold us to you, and then he spent all the money that should have been ours.

BNV : ঈশ্বর এই সমস্ত ধন পিতার কাছ থেকে নিয়েছেন যার মালিক এখন আমরা এবং আমাদের সন্তানেরা| সেইজন্য ঈশ্বর য়েমনটি বলেছেন সেই মতোই আপনার কাজ করা উচিত্‌|”
KJV : For all the riches which God hath taken from our father, that [is] ours, and our children’s: now then, whatsoever God hath said unto thee, do.
YLT : for all the wealth which God hath taken away from our father, it [is] ours, and our children`s; and now, all that God hath said unto thee -- do.`
RV : For all the riches which God hath taken away from our father, that is ours and our children-s: now then, whatsoever God hath said unto thee, do.
RSV : All the property which God has taken away from our father belongs to us and to our children; now then, whatever God has said to you, do."

ERVEN : God took all this wealth from our father, and now it belongs to us and our children. So you should do whatever God told you to do."

BNV : সেইজন্য যাকোব যাত্রার জন্য প্রস্তুত হল| সে তার সব পুত্রদের ও স্ত্রীদের উটের পিঠে ওঠাল|
KJV : Then Jacob rose up, and set his sons and his wives upon camels;
YLT : And Jacob riseth, and lifteth up his sons and his wives on the camels,
RV : Then Jacob rose up, and set his sons and his wives upon the camels;

BNV : তারপর তারা কনান দেশে ফিরে গেল যেখানে যাকোবের পিতা বাস করতেন| যাকোবের সমস্ত পশুপাল তার সামনে সামনে হেঁটে চলল| পদ্দন্-অরামে থাকাকালীন সে য়ে সমস্ত কিছু অর্জন করেছিল তার সব কিছু নিয়ে চলল|
KJV : And he carried away all his cattle, and all his goods which he had gotten, the cattle of his getting, which he had gotten in Padan-aram, for to go to Isaac his father in the land of Canaan.
YLT : and leadeth all his cattle, and all his substance which he hath acquired, the cattle of his getting, which he hath acquired in Padan-Aram, to go unto Isaac his father, to the land of Canaan.
RV : and he carried away all his cattle, and all his substance which he had gathered, the cattle of his getting, which he had gathered in Paddan-aram, for to go to Isaac his father unto the land of Canaan.
RSV : and he drove away all his cattle, all his livestock which he had gained, the cattle in his possession which he had acquired in Paddanaram, to go to the land of Canaan to his father Isaac.
ASV : and he carried away all his cattle, and all his substance which he had gathered, the cattle of his getting, which he had gathered in Paddan-aram, to go to Isaac his father unto the land of Canaan.
ESV : He drove away all his livestock, all his property that he had gained, the livestock in his possession that he had acquired in Paddan-aram, to go to the land of Canaan to his father Isaac.
ERVEN : Then they began traveling back to the land of Canaan, where his father lived. All the flocks of animals that Jacob owned walked ahead of them. He carried everything with him that he had gotten while he lived in Paddan Aram.

BNV : সেই সময় লাবন মেষদের লোম ছাঁটতে গেলেন| তিনি সেই কাজে গেলে পরে রাহেল তার ঘরে ঢুকে তার পিতার ঠাকুরগুলোকে চুরি করল|
KJV : And Laban went to shear his sheep: and Rachel had stolen the images that [were] her father’s.
YLT : And Laban hath gone to shear his flock, and Rachel stealeth the teraphim which her father hath;
RV : Now Laban was gone to shear his sheep: and Rachel stole the teraphim that were her father-s.
RSV : Laban had gone to shear his sheep, and Rachel stole her father's household gods.

BNV : বছর ধরে আপনার কাছে দাসের মত কাজ করেছি| প্রথম
KJV : And Jacob stole away unawares to Laban the Syrian, in that he told him not that he fled.
YLT : and Jacob deceiveth the heart of Laban the Aramaean, because he hath not declared to him that he is fleeing;
RV : And Jacob stole away unawares to Laban the Syrian, in that he told him not that he fled.
RSV : And Jacob outwitted Laban the Aramean, in that he did not tell him that he intended to flee.

BNV : যাকোব তার পরিবার ও সমস্ত সম্পত্তি নিয়ে দ্রুত বেরিয়ে পড়ল| তারা ফরাত্‌ নদী পার হয়ে পর্বতময় প্রদেশ গিলিয়দের দিকে রওনা দিলেন|
KJV : So he fled with all that he had; and he rose up, and passed over the river, and set his face [toward] the mount Gilead.
YLT : and he fleeth, he and all that he hath, and riseth, and passeth over the River, and setteth his face [toward] the mount of Gilead.

BNV : তিন দিন পরে লাবন জানতে পারলেন য়ে যাকোব পালিয়ে গেছে|
KJV : And it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob was fled.
YLT : And it is told to Laban on the third day that Jacob hath fled,
RV : And it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob was fled.
RSV : When it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob had fled,
ASV : And it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob was fled.
ESV : When it was told Laban on the third day that Jacob had fled,
ERVEN : Three days later Laban learned that Jacob had run away.

BNV : তাই লাবন তাঁর লোকজন জড়ো করে যাকোবের পেছনে ধাওয়া করে চললেন| সাত দিন পর লাবন যাকোবকে পার্বত্য গিলিয়দ দেশের কাছে দেখতে পেলেন|
KJV : And he took his brethren with him, and pursued after him seven days’ journey; and they overtook him in the mount Gilead.
YLT : and he taketh his brethren with him, and pursueth after him a journey of seven days, and overtaketh him in the mount of Gilead.

BNV : সেই রাতে ঈশ্বর স্বপ্নে লাবনের কাছে গেলেন| ঈশ্বর বললেন, “সাবধান! যাকোবের সঙ্গে ভেবে চিন্তে কথা বোলো!”
KJV : And God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream by night, and said unto him, Take heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.
YLT : And God cometh in unto Laban the Aramaean in a dream of the night, and saith to him, `Take heed to thyself lest thou speak with Jacob from good unto evil.`
RV : And God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream of the night, and said unto him, Take heed to thyself that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.

ASV : And God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream of the night, and said unto him, Take heed to thyself that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.
ESV : But God came to Laban the Aramean in a dream by night and said to him, "Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad."
ERVEN : That night God came to Laban in a dream and said, "Be careful! Be careful of every word you say to Jacob."

KJV : Then Laban overtook Jacob. Now Jacob had pitched his tent in the mount: and Laban with his brethren pitched in the mount of Gilead.
YLT : And Laban overtaketh Jacob; and Jacob hath fixed his tent in the mount; and Laban with his brethren have fixed [theirs] in the mount of Gilead.

ASV : And Laban answered and said unto Jacob, The daughters are my daughters, and the children are my children, and the flocks are my flocks, and all that thou seest is mine: and what can I do this day unto these my daughters, or unto their children whom they have borne?
ESV : Then Laban answered and said to Jacob, "The daughters are my daughters, the children are my children, the flocks are my flocks, and all that you see is mine. But what can I do this day for these my daughters or for their children whom they have borne?
ERVEN : Laban said to Jacob, "These women are my daughters. These children belong to me, and these animals are mine. Everything you see here belongs to me, but I can do nothing to keep my daughters and their children.
