BNV : “হে মনুষ্যসন্তান, জেরুশালেমের দিকে তাকাও ও তার পবিত্র স্থানগুলির বিরুদ্ধে এই কথা বল| আমার হয়ে ইস্রায়েল দেশের বিরুদ্ধে কথা বল|
KJV : Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop [thy word] toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,
YLT : `Son of man, set thy face unto Jerusalem, and prophesy unto the holy places, and prophesy unto the ground of Israel;
RV : Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop {cf15i thy word} toward the sanctuaries, and prophesy against the land of Israel;
RSV : "Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem and preach against the sanctuaries; prophesy against the land of Israel

BNV : ইস্রায়েল দেশের প্রতি বল, ‘প্রভু এই সব কথা বলেন: আমি তোমার বিরুদ্ধে! আমি খাপ থেকে তরবারি খুলে ভাল ও মন্দ সব লোককেই তোমার কাছ থেকে দূর করব!
KJV : And say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I [am] against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.
YLT : and thou hast said unto the ground of Israel: Thus said Jehovah: Lo, I [am] against thee, And have brought out My sword from its scabbard, And have cut off from thee righteous and wicked.
RV : and say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the LORD: Behold, I am against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of its sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.
RSV : and say to the land of Israel, Thus says the LORD: Behold, I am against you, and will draw forth my sword out of its sheath, and will cut off from you both righteous and wicked.
ASV : and say to the land of Israel, Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of its sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.
ESV : and say to the land of Israel, Thus says the LORD: Behold, I am against you and will draw my sword from its sheath and will cut off from you both righteous and wicked.
ERVEN : Say to the land of Israel, 'This is what the Lord said: I am against you! I will pull my sword from its sheath. I will remove all people from you—the good and the evil.

BNV : আমি যখন ভাল ও মন্দ উভয় প্রকার লোককেই তোমা হতে উচ্ছেদ করি তখন খাপ থেকে তরবারি বের করে তা দক্ষিণ থেকে উত্তর দিকের লোকদের বিরুদ্ধে ব্যবহার করব|
KJV : Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north:
YLT : Because that I have cut off from thee righteous and wicked, Therefore go out doth My sword from its scabbard, Unto all flesh, from south to north.
RV : Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of its sheath against all flesh from the south to the north:
RSV : Because I will cut off from you both righteous and wicked, therefore my sword shall go out of its sheath against all flesh from south to north;

ESV : Because I will cut off from you both righteous and wicked, therefore my sword shall be drawn from its sheath against all flesh from south to north.
ERVEN : I will cut both good people and evil people from you. I will pull my sword from its sheath and use it against all people from south to north.

BNV : তখন সমস্ত লোক জানবে যে আমিই প্রভু| আর এও জানবে যে আমিই খাপ থেকে তরবারি বের করেছি| আমার তরবারি কাজ শেষ না করা পর্য়ন্ত তার খাপে ফিরে যাবে না|”‘
KJV : That all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out of his sheath: it shall not return any more.
YLT : And known have all flesh that I, Jehovah, Have brought out My sword from its scabbard, It doth not turn back any more.
RV : and all flesh shall know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out of its sheath; it shall not return any more.
RSV : and all flesh shall know that I the LORD have drawn my sword out of its sheath; it shall not be sheathed again.
ASV : and all flesh shall know that I, Jehovah, have drawn forth my sword out of its sheath; it shall not return any more.
ESV : And all flesh shall know that I am the LORD. I have drawn my sword from its sheath; it shall not be sheathed again.
ERVEN : Then everyone will know that I am the Lord. They will know that I have pulled my sword from its sheath. My sword will not go back into its sheath again until it is finished.'

BNV : ঈশ্বর বলেন, “হে মনুষ্যসন্তান, মন ভেঙ্গে গেছে এমন মানুষ যেভাবে শোক করে, লোকদের সামনে সেই ভাবে শোক কর|”
KJV : Sigh therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of [thy] loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes.
YLT : And thou, son of man, sigh with breaking of loins, yea, with bitterness thou dost sigh before their eyes,
RV : Sigh therefore, thou son of man; with the breaking of thy loins and with bitterness shalt thou sigh before their eyes.
RSV : Sigh therefore, son of man; sigh with breaking heart and bitter grief before their eyes.
ASV : Sigh therefore, thou son of man; with the breaking of thy loins and with bitterness shalt thou sigh before their eyes.
ESV : "As for you, son of man, groan; with breaking heart and bitter grief, groan before their eyes.
ERVEN : "Son of man, make sad sounds like a sad person with a broken heart. Make these sad sounds in front of the people.

BNV : তখন তারা তোমায় জিজ্ঞেস করবে, ‘কেন তুমি এই সব আওয়াজ করছ?’ তখন তুমি বলবে, ‘শোকের সংবাদ আসছে বলে|’ ভয়ে প্রত্যেকের আত্মা দুর্বল হয়ে যাবে, সমস্ত হাত দুর্বল হয়ে পড়বে, প্রত্যেক আত্মাও দুর্বল হবে এবং সবার হাঁটু জলের মত হয়ে পড়বে|’ দেখ সেই খারাপ সংবাদ আসছে| এসব ঘটনাও ঘটবে| প্রভু আমার সদাপ্রভু এই সব বলেন|
KJV : And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak [as] water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord GOD.
YLT : and it hath come to pass, when they say unto thee, For what art thou sighing? that thou hast said: Because of the report, for it is coming, And melted hath every heart, And feeble hath been all hands, And weak is every spirit, And all knees go -- waters, Lo, it is coming, yea, it hath been, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.`
RV : And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt say, Because of the tidings, for it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and it shall be done, saith the Lord GOD.
RSV : And when they say to you, `Why do you sigh?' you shall say, `Because of the tidings. When it comes, every heart will melt and all hands will be feeble, every spirit will faint and all knees will be weak as water. Behold, it comes and it will be fulfilled,'" says the Lord GOD.
ASV : And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt say, Because of the tidings, for it cometh; and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and it shall be done, saith the Lord Jehovah.
ESV : And when they say to you, 'Why do you groan?' you shall say, 'Because of the news that it is coming. Every heart will melt, and all hands will be feeble; every spirit will faint, and all knees will be weak as water. Behold, it is coming, and it will be fulfilled,'"declares the Lord GOD.
ERVEN : Then they will ask you, 'Why are you making these sad sounds?' Then you must say, 'Because of the sad news that is coming. Every heart will melt with fear. All hands will become weak. Every spirit will become weak. All knees will be like water.' Look, that bad news is coming. These things will happen!" This is what the Lord God said.

BNV : “মনুষ্যসন্তান লোকদের কাছে আমার হয়ে এই কথা বল, ‘প্রভু আমার সদাপ্রভু বলেন:“এই দেখ, একটি তরবারি এবং তরবারিটিতে শান দেওয়া হয়েছে ও পালিশ করা হয়েছে|
KJV : Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD; Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished:
YLT : `Son of man, prophesy, and thou hast said, Thus said Jehovah, say: A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also polished.

ERVEN : "Son of man, speak to the people for me. Say this, 'This is what the Lord God says: "'Look, a sword, a sharp sword, and it has been polished.

BNV : হত্যার জন্য সেই তরবারি ধারালো করা হয়েছে| তাতে ধার দেওয়া হয়েছে এমনভাবে যেন তা চমকায| “‘হে মনুষ্যসন্তান আমার শাস্তি দেবার লাঠির কাছ থেকে তোমরা দৌড়ে পালিয়েছ| বেতের আঘাত খেতে তোমরা অস্বীকার করেছ|
KJV : It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter: should we then make mirth? it contemneth the rod of my son, [as] every tree.
YLT : So as to slaughter a slaughter it is sharpened. So as to have brightness it is polished, Desire hath rejoiced the sceptre of my son, It is despising every tree.
RV : it is sharpened that it may make a slaughter; it is furbished that it may be as lightning: shall we then make mirth? the rod of my son, it contemneth every tree.
RSV : sharpened for slaughter, polished to flash like lightning! Or do we make mirth? You have despised the rod, my son, with everything of wood.
ASV : it is sharpened that it may make a slaughter; it is furbished that it may be as lightning: shall we then make mirth? the rod of my son, it contemneth every tree.

ERVEN : The sword was made sharp for killing. It was polished to flash like lightning. My son, you ran away from the stick I used to punish you. You refused to be punished with that wooden stick.

BNV : তাই তরবারিটিকে ঘসা-মাজা করা হয়েছে এবং ধার দেওয়া হয়েছে, এখন তা ব্যবহার করা যাবে| তরবারি ঘসে মেজে ধার দেওয়া হয়েছিল| আর এখন তা ঘাতকের হাতে দেওয়া যাবে|
KJV : And he hath given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer.
YLT : And he giveth it for polishing, For laying hold of by the hand. It is sharpened -- the sword -- and polished, To give it into the hand of a slayer.
RV : And it is given to be furbished, that it may be handled: the sword, it is sharpened, yea, it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer.

BNV : “‘হে মনুষ্যসন্তান, চিত্কার কর| তীক্ষ্ণ শব্দে চিত্কার কর! কারণ আমার প্রজাদের ও ইস্রায়েলের শাসকদের বিরুদ্ধে সেই তরবারি ব্যবহার করা হবে| ঐ শাসকরা যুদ্ধ চাইত, তাই তরবারি এলে তারা আমার প্রজাদের সঙ্গে থাকবে| দুঃখ প্রকাশ করবার জন্য তোমার জাঙ্গে চড় মেরে আঘাত কর| আর তোমার শোক প্রকাশ করতে উচ্চ শব্দ কর!
KJV : Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon my people, it [shall be] upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people: smite therefore upon [thy] thigh.
YLT : Cry and howl, son of man, For it hath been among My people, It [is] among all the princes of Israel, Cast unto the sword have been My people. Therefore strike on thy thigh,
RV : Cry and howl, son of man: for it is upon my people, it is upon all the princes of Israel: they are delivered over to the sword with my people: smite therefore upon thy thigh.
RSV : Cry and wail, son of man, for it is against my people; it is against all the princes of Israel; they are delivered over to the sword with my people. Smite therefore upon your thigh.

ESV : Cry out and wail, son of man, for it is against my people. It is against all the princes of Israel. They are delivered over to the sword with my people. Strike therefore upon your thigh.
ERVEN : "'Son of man, shout out and scream because the sword will be used against my people and all the rulers of Israel. They wanted war—so they will be with my people when the sword comes. So slap your thigh to show your sadness,

BNV : এটা কেবল পরীক্ষা নয়| তোমরা ছড়ির দ্বারা শাসন অগ্রাহ্য করেছিলে তাই তোমাদের শাস্তি দিতে আমি আর কি ব্যবহার করতাম? তরবারি|”‘ প্রভু আমার সদাপ্রভু এই সব কথা বলেন|
KJV : Because [it is] a trial, and what if [the sword] contemn even the rod? it shall be no [more,] saith the Lord GOD.
YLT : Because [it is] a trier, And what if even the sceptre it is despising? It shall not be, an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.
RV : For there is a trial; and what if even the rod that contemneth shall be no more? saith the Lord GOD.
RSV : For it will not be a testing -- what could it do if you despise the rod?" says the Lord GOD.
ASV : For there is a trial; and what if even the rod that contemneth shall be no more? saith the Lord Jehovah.
ESV : For it will not be a testing- what could it do if you despise the rod?" declares the Lord GOD.
ERVEN : because it is not just a test. You refused to be punished with the wooden stick, so what else should I use to punish you? {A sword?}'" This is what the Lord God said.

BNV : ঈশ্বর বলেন, “মনুষ্যসন্তান, হাততালি দাও, আমার হয়ে লোকদের কাছে বল|”“হ্যাঁ, তরবারিকে দুবার, এমনকি তিন বার আসতে দাও| এই তরবারি মানুষ হত্যার জন্য, তা মহাহত্যার জন্য| এই তরবারি তাদের টুকরো টুকরো করে ফেলবে!
KJV : Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite [thine] hands together, and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: it [is] the sword of the great [men that are] slain, which entereth into their privy chambers.
YLT : And thou, son of man, prophesy, And smite hand on hand, And bent is the sword a third time, The sword of the wounded! It [is] the sword of the wounded -- the great one, That is entering the inner chamber to them.
RV : Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thine hands together; and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the deadly wounded: it is the sword of the great one that is deadly wounded, which entereth into their chambers.
RSV : "Prophesy therefore, son of man; clap your hands and let the sword come down twice, yea thrice, the sword for those to be slain; it is the sword for the great slaughter, which encompasses them,
ASV : Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thy hands together; and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the deadly wounded: it is the sword of the great one that is deadly wounded, which entereth into their chambers.
ESV : "As for you, son of man, prophesy. Clap your hands and let the sword come down twice, yes, three times, the sword for those to be slain. It is the sword for the great slaughter, which surrounds them,
ERVEN : "Son of man, clap your hands to show your sadness, and speak to the people for me. "Let the sword come down twice, no, three times! This sword is for killing the people. This is the sword for the great killing. This sword will cut into them.

BNV : তাদের হৃদয় ভয়ে গলে যাবে আর বহু লোক পতিত হবে| নগরের দরজার কাছে খগ দ্বারা বহুলোক হত হবে| হ্যাঁ, খগ বজ্রের মত চমকাবে, হত্যার জন্যই তাতে শান দেওয়া হয়েছে!
KJV : I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, that [their] heart may faint, and [their] ruins be multiplied: ah! [it is] made bright, [it is] wrapped up for the slaughter.
YLT : To melt the heart, and to multiply the ruins, By all their gates I have set the point of a sword. Ah, it is made for brightness, Wrapt up for slaughter.
RV : I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, that their heart may melt, and their stumblings be multiplied: ah! it is made as lightning, it is pointed for slaughter.
RSV : that their hearts may melt, and many fall at all their gates. I have given the glittering sword; ah! it is made like lightning, it is polished for slaughter.
ASV : I have set the threatening sword against all their gates, that their heart may melt, and their stumblings be multiplied: ah! it is made as lightning, it is pointed for slaughter.
ESV : that their hearts may melt, and many stumble. At all their gates I have given the glittering sword. Ah, it is made like lightning; it is taken up for slaughter.
ERVEN : Their hearts will melt with fear, and many people will fall. The sword will kill many people by the city gates. Yes, the sword will flash like lightning. It was polished to kill the people!

BNV : তরবারি শাণিত হও! ডানদিকে ছেদ কর| সোজাসুজি কেটে চল, বাম দিকে ছেদ কর| তোমার তরবারি যে দিকে চায় যাক!
KJV : Go thee one way or other, [either] on the right hand, [or] on the left, whithersoever thy face [is] set.
YLT : Take possession of the right, place thyself at the left, Whither thy face is appointed.
RV : Gather thee together, go to the right; set thyself in array, go to the left; whithersoever thy face is set.
RSV : Cut sharply to right and left where your edge is directed.
ASV : Gather thee together, go to the right, set thyself in array, go to the left, whithersoever thy face is set.
ESV : Cut sharply to the right; set yourself to the left, wherever your face is directed.
ERVEN : Sword, be sharp! Cut on the right side. Cut straight ahead. Cut on the left side. Go wherever your edge was chosen to go.

BNV : “তখন আমিও আমার হাতে তালি দেব| আমার রোধ নিবৃত্ত করব| আমি প্রভুই একথা বলছি|”
KJV : I will also smite mine hands together, and I will cause my fury to rest: I the LORD have said [it. ]
YLT : And I also, I smite My hand on my hand, And have caused My fury to rest; I, Jehovah, have spoken.`
RV : I will also smite mine hands together, and I will satisfy my fury: I the LORD have spoken it.
RSV : I also will clap my hands, and I will satisfy my fury; I the LORD have spoken."
ASV : I will also smite my hands together, and I will cause my wrath to rest: I, Jehovah, have spoken it.
ESV : I also will clap my hands, and I will satisfy my fury; I the LORD have spoken."
ERVEN : "Then I, too, will clap my hands and stop showing my anger. I, the Lord, have spoken!"

BNV : “হে মনুষ্যসন্তান, দুটি রাস্তা অাঁক যা দিয়ে বাবিলের রাজার তরবারি ইস্রায়েলে আসতে পারে| দুটি রাস্তাই ঐ একই নগরী বাবিল থেকে এসেছে| তারপর রাস্তার মাথা থেকে শহর পর্য়ন্ত একটা চিহ্ন অাঁক|
KJV : Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both twain shall come forth out of one land: and choose thou a place, choose [it] at the head of the way to the city.
YLT : `And thou, son of man, appoint for thee two ways, for the coming in of the sword of the king of Babylon; from one land they come forth, both of them, and a station prepare thou, at the top of the way of the city prepare [it].
RV : Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come; they twain shall come forth out of one land: and mark out a place, mark it out at the head of the way to the city.
RSV : "Son of man, mark two ways for the sword of the king of Babylon to come; both of them shall come forth from the same land. And make a signpost, make it at the head of the way to a city;

ESV : "As for you, son of man, mark two ways for the sword of the king of Babylon to come. Both of them shall come from the same land. And make a signpost; make it at the head of the way to a city.
ERVEN : "Son of man, draw two roads that the sword of the king of Babylon can use to come to Israel. Both roads will come from the same country. Then draw a sign at the head of the road to the city.

BNV : চিহ্নটা ব্যবহার কর তরবারি কোন রাস্তা ব্যবহার করবে তা বোঝাতে| একটা রাস্তা অম্মোনীয়দের শহর রব্বার দিকে গেছে| অন্য পথটি গেছে যিহূদার দিকের সুরক্ষিত শহর জেরুশালেমে!
KJV : Appoint a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced.
YLT : A way appoint for the coming of the sword, Unto Rabbath of the sons of Ammon, And to Judah, in Jerusalem -- the fenced.
RV : Thou shalt appoint a way, for the sword to come to Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced.
RSV : mark a way for the sword to come to Rabbah of the Ammonites and to Judah and to Jerusalem the fortified.

ERVEN : Use the sign to show which road the sword will use. One road leads to the Ammonite city of Rabbah. The other road leads to Judah, to the protected city, Jerusalem.

BNV : যে জায়গায় দুই রাস্তা আলাদা হয়ে গেছে সেখানে বাবিলের রাজা এসেছে| বাবিলের রাজা ভবিষ্যত্‌ জানার জন্য যাদু চিহ্ন ব্যবহার করেছে| সে তীর নিয়ে নাড়াচাড়া করেছে, পারিবারিক দেবতার কাছে প্রশ্ন জিজ্ঞাসা করেছে এবং য়কৃতের দিকে তাকিযেছে|
