BNV : “য়ে ব্যক্তি ষাঁড় বা মেষ চুরি করেছে তাকে কিভাবে শাস্তি দেবে? যদি সে প্রাণীটিকে হত্যা করে বা বিক্রি করে দেয় তবে সে সেটা ফেরত্‌ দিতে পারবে না, তাই তাকে একটা চুরি করা ষাঁড়ের বদলে পাঁচটা ষাঁড় কিনে দিতে হবে বা একটা মেষের বদলে চারটি মেষ দিতে হবে| তাকে চুরির জন্য জরিমানা দিতে হবে|
KJV : If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.
YLT : `When a man doth steal an ox or sheep, and hath slaughtered it or sold it, five of the herd he doth repay for the ox, and four of the flock for the sheep.
RV : If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall pay five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep.

ERVEN : "How should you punish a man who steals a bull or a sheep? If the man kills the animal or sells it, then he cannot give it back. So he must pay five bulls for the one he stole. Or he must pay four sheep for the one he stole. He must pay for stealing.

BNV : যদি তার কাছে কিছু না থাকে তাহলে তাকে দাস হিসেবে বিক্রি করে দেওয়া হবে| যদি তুমি লোকটির কাছে জন্তুটিকে দেখতে পাও, তবে চোরকে অবশ্যই চুরি করা জন্তুটির মূল্যের দ্বিগুণ মূল্য দিতে হবে| প্রাণীটি ষাঁড় বা গাধা বা মেষ যাই হোক না কেন নিয়ম একই থাকবে|“যদি সিঁধ কেটে চুরি করার সময় কোনও চোর মারা যায তবে কেউই দোষী হবে না| কিন্তু যদি এটা দিনের বেলায হয় তাহলে য়ে হত্যা করবে সে দাযী হবে|
KJV : If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, [there shall] no blood [be shed] for him.
YLT : `If in the breaking through, the thief is found, and he hath been smitten, and hath died, there is no blood for him;
RV : If the thief be found breaking in, and be smitten that he die, there shall be no bloodguiltiness for him.
RSV : "If a thief is found breaking in, and is struck so that he dies, there shall be no bloodguilt for him;
ASV : If the thief be found breaking in, and be smitten so that he dieth, there shall be no bloodguiltiness for him.
ESV : "If a thief is found breaking in and is struck so that he dies, there shall be no bloodguilt for him,
ERVEN : If he owns nothing, then he will be sold as a slave. But if the man still has the animal and you find it, that man must give the owner two animals for every animal he stole. It doesn't matter if the animal was a bull, a donkey, or a sheep. "If a thief is killed while trying to break into a house at night, then no one will be guilty for killing him. But if this happens during the day, the one who killed him will be guilty of murder.

KJV : If the sun be risen upon him, [there shall be] blood [shed] for him; [for] he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.

BNV : “যখন একটি ব্যক্তি তার গৃহপালিত জন্তুদের তার নিজের ক্ষেতে অথবা দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেতে চরতে দেয়, কিন্তু তারা যদি বিপথে গিয়ে অন্য কারো ক্ষেতে অথবা দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেতে চরে বেড়ায তাহলে তাকে তার ক্ষেতের অথবা দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেতের সবচেযে ভালো ফসল দিয়ে ক্ষতিপূরণ দিতে হবে|
KJV : If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall put in his beast, and shall feed in another man’s field; of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution.

ERVEN : "A man might let his animal loose to graze in his field or vineyard. If the animal wanders into another person's field or vineyard, then the owner must pay. The payment must come from the best of his crop.

BNV : “কেউ যদি তার প্রতিবেশীর শস্যের গাদা অথবা য়ে শস্য কাটা হয়নি তা অথবা পুরো ক্ষেতটি পুড়িয়ে ফেলে, তাহলে যা কিছু পুড়ে গেছে তার ক্ষতিপূরণ তাকে দিতে হবে|
KJV : If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed [therewith;] he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.
YLT : `When fire goeth forth, and hath found thorns, and a stack, or the standing corn, or the field, hath been consumed, he who causeth the burning doth certainly repay.

ERVEN : "A man might start a fire to burn thornbushes on his field. But if the fire grows and burns his neighbor's crops or the grain growing on the neighbor's field, the man who started the fire must pay for what he burned.

BNV : “কোনও ব্যক্তি তার টাকা বা অন্য কিছু তার প্রতিবেশীর কাছে রাখতে দিতে পারে| কিন্তু যদি প্রতিবেশীর বাড়ি থেকে সেই জিনিস চুরি হয়ে যায তবে কি করবে? চোরকে খুঁজে বের করার চেষ্টা করবে| যদি চোরকে পাওয়া যায তবে চোর চুরি করা জিনিসের মূল্যের দ্বিগুণ জরিমানা দেবে|
KJV : If a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man’s house; if the thief be found, let him pay double.
YLT : `When a man doth give unto his neighbour silver, or vessels to keep, and it hath been stolen out of the man`s house; if the thief is found, he repayeth double.
RV : If a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man-s house; if the thief be found, he shall pay double.

ERVEN : "Someone might give some money or tools to a neighbor for safekeeping. What should you do if someone steals those things from the neighbor's house? If you find the one who stole them, then that thief must pay twice as much as the things are worth.

BNV : যদি চোরকে খুঁজে পাওয়া না যায়, তাহলে ঈশ্বর বিচার করবেন য়েখান থেকে চুরি হয়েছে সেই বাড়ির মালিক দোষী কি না| বাড়ির মালিক ঈশ্বরের কাছে যাবে এবং ঈশ্বর বিচার করবেন য়ে সে কিছু চুরি করেছে কি না|
KJV : If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the judges, [to see] whether he have put his hand unto his neighbour’s goods.
YLT : `If the thief is not found, then the master of the house hath been brought near unto God, whether he hath not put forth his hand against the work of his neighbour;
RV : If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall come near unto God, {cf15i to see} whether he have not put his hand unto his neighbour-s goods.
RSV : If the thief is not found, the owner of the house shall come near to God, to show whether or not he has put his hand to his neighbor's goods.

BNV : “যদি কোনও দুই ব্যক্তি উভয়েই কোনও ষাঁড় বা গাধা বা মেষ বা কোনও হারানো বস্তুকে নিজের বলে দাবী করে তাহলে তারা দুজনেই ঈশ্বরের কাছে যাবে| ঈশ্বর যাকে দোষী করবেন সে অপর ব্যক্তিকে সেই জিনিসটির মূল্যের দ্বিগুণ দাস দেবে|
KJV : For all manner of trespass, [whether it be] for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, [or] for any manner of lost thing, which [another] challengeth to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; [and] whom the judges shall condemn, he shall pay double unto his neighbour.
YLT : for every matter of transgression, for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, for any lost thing of which it is said that it is his; unto God cometh the matter of them both; he whom God doth condemn, he repayeth double to his neighbour.

ERVEN : "What should you do if two men disagree about a bull or a donkey or sheep or clothing or something that is lost? One man says, 'This is mine,' and the other says, 'No, it is mine.' Both men should go before the judge who will decide who is guilty. The one who was wrong must pay the other man twice as much as the thing is worth.

BNV : “কোনও ব্যক্তি তার কোন প্রাণীর রক্ষণাবেক্ষণের জন্য তার প্রতিবেশীকে অল্প সময়ের জন্য ভার দিতে পারে| সেটা গাধা বা ষাঁড় বা মেষ হতে পারে কিন্তু যদি সেই প্রাণী আহত হয় বা মারা যায বা কারো অলক্ষ্যে চুরি হয়ে যায তাহলে কি করবে?
KJV : If a man deliver unto his neighbour an ass, or an ox, or a sheep, or any beast, to keep; and it die, or be hurt, or driven away, no man seeing [it: ]
YLT : `When a man doth give unto his neighbour an ass, or ox, or sheep, or any beast to keep, and it hath died, or hath been hurt, or taken captive, none seeing --

ESV : "If a man gives to his neighbor a donkey or an ox or a sheep or any beast to keep safe, and it dies or is injured or is driven away, without anyone seeing it,
ERVEN : "A man might ask his neighbor to take care of an animal for a short time. It might be a donkey, a bull, or a sheep. But what should you do if that animal is hurt or dies or someone takes the animal while no one is looking?

BNV : তখন সেই প্রতিবেশীকে প্রভুর নামে শপথ করে বলতে হবে য়ে সে চুরি করে নি| তখন প্রাণীর মালিক সেই শপথ গ্রাহ্য করবে এবং প্রতিবেশীকে সেই মৃত প্রাণীর জন্য কোন জরিমানা দিতে হবে না|
KJV : [Then] shall an oath of the LORD be between them both, that he hath not put his hand unto his neighbour’s goods; and the owner of it shall accept [thereof,] and he shall not make [it] good.
YLT : an oath of Jehovah is between them both, that he hath not put forth his hand against the work of his neighbour, and its owner hath accepted, and he doth not repay;
RV : the oath of the LORD shall be between them both, whether he hath not put his hand unto his neighbour-s goods; and the owner thereof shall accept it, and he shall not make restitution.

ESV : an oath by the LORD shall be between them both to see whether or not he has put his hand to his neighbor's property. The owner shall accept the oath, and he shall not make restitution.
ERVEN : That neighbor must explain that he did not steal the animal. If this is true, the neighbor will promise to the Lord that he did not steal it. The owner of the animal must accept this promise. The neighbor does not have to pay the owner for the animal.

BNV : কিন্তু যদি সেই প্রতিবেশী চুরি করে থাকে তবে তাকে জরিমানা দিতে হবে|
KJV : And if it be stolen from him, he shall make restitution unto the owner thereof.

BNV : যদি কোন বন্য জন্তু প্রাণীটিকে মেরে ফেলে তবে তার দেহ প্রমাণ হিসেবে দেখাতে হবে| তাহলে প্রতিবেশীকে জরিমানা দিতে হবে না|
KJV : If it be torn in pieces, [then] let him bring it [for] witness, [and] he shall not make good that which was torn.
YLT : if it is certainly torn, he bringeth it in -- a witness; the torn thing he doth not repay.
RV : If it be torn in pieces, let him bring it for witness; he shall not make good that which was torn.
RSV : If it is torn by beasts, let him bring it as evidence; he shall not make restitution for what has been torn.

ERVEN : If wild animals killed the animal, then the neighbor should bring the body as proof. The neighbor will not have to pay the owner for the animal that was killed.

BNV : “যদি কোনও ব্যক্তি তার প্রতিবেশীর কাছ থেকে ধার নেয় তবে সে তার জন্য দায়ী থাকবে| যদি কোন প্রানী আহত হয় বা মারা যায তবে প্রতিবেশী প্রানীর মালিককে জরিমানা দেবে| প্রতিবেশীই দায়ী কারণ মালিক সেখানে উপস্থিত ছিল না|
KJV : And if a man borrow [ought] of his neighbour, and it be hurt, or die, the owner thereof [being] not with it, he shall surely make [it] good.
YLT : `And when a man doth ask [anything] from his neighbour, and it hath been hurt or hath died -- its owner not being with it -- he doth certainly repay;
RV : And if a man borrow aught of his neighbour, and it be hurt, or die, the owner thereof not being with it, he shall surely make restitution.
RSV : "If a man borrows anything of his neighbor, and it is hurt or dies, the owner not being with it, he shall make full restitution.

ERVEN : "If a man borrows an animal from his neighbor, and the animal is hurt or dies, then the neighbor must pay the owner for the animal. The neighbor is responsible, because the owner was not there himself.

BNV : কিন্তু যদি প্রানীর মালিক সেখানে উপস্থিত থাকে তাহলে প্রতিবেশীকে জরিমানা দিতে হবে না| যদি প্রতিবেশী প্রানীটিকে ব্যবহারের জন্য টাকা দেয় তাহলে তাকে প্রাণীটি আহত হলে বা মারা গেলে জরিমানা দিতে হবে না| সে ঐ প্রানীটি ব্যবহারের জন্য যা মূল্য দিয়েছে তাই য়থেষ্ট|
KJV : [But] if the owner thereof [be] with it, he shall not make [it] good: if it [be] an hired [thing,] it came for his hire.
YLT : if its owner [is] with it, he doth not repay, -- if it [is] a hired thing, it hath come for its hire.
RV : If the owner thereof be with it, he shall not make it good: if it be an hired thing, it came for its hire.
RSV : If the owner was with it, he shall not make restitution; if it was hired, it came for its hire.
ASV : If the owner thereof be with it, he shall not make it good: if it be a hired thing, it came for its hire.

ERVEN : But if the owner was there, then the neighbor does not have to pay. Or if the neighbor was paying money to use the animal for work, he will not have to pay if the animal dies or is hurt. The money he paid to use the animal will be enough payment.

BNV : “যদি, কোনও ব্যক্তি একজন অবাগদত্তা কুমারী মেয়ের সঙ্গে য়ৌন সম্পর্কে লিপ্ত হয় তাহলে সে অবশ্যই তার পিতাকে পুরো য়ৌতুক দেবে এবং তাকে বিয়ে করবে|
KJV : And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife.
YLT : `And when a man doth entice a virgin who [is] not betrothed, and hath lain with her, he doth certainly endow her to himself for a wife;
RV : And if a man entice a virgin that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely pay a dowry for her to be his wife.
RSV : "If a man seduces a virgin who is not betrothed, and lies with her, he shall give the marriage present for her, and make her his wife.
ASV : And if a man entice a virgin that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely pay a dowry for her to be his wife.
ESV : "If a man seduces a virgin who is not engaged to be married and lies with her, he shall give the bride-price for her and make her his wife.
ERVEN : "If a man has sexual relations with a virgin who he is not engaged to, then he must pay her father the full dowry and marry her.

BNV : যদি তার পিতা মেয়েটিকে সেই ব্যক্তির সঙ্গে বিয়ে দিতে নাও চান তাহলেও তাকে মেয়েটির জন্য পুরো অর্থ দিতে হবে|
KJV : If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.
YLT : if her father utterly refuse to give her to him, money he doth weigh out according to the dowry of virgins.
RV : If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.
RSV : If her father utterly refuses to give her to him, he shall pay money equivalent to the marriage present for virgins.

ERVEN : If the father refuses to allow his daughter to marry him, then the man must still pay the full amount for her.

BNV : “যদি কোন স্ত্রীলোক দুষ্ট কূহক করে তবে তাকে বাঁচতে দিও না|
KJV : Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.
YLT : `A witch thou dost not keep alive.
RV : Thou shalt not suffer a sorceress to live.
RSV : "You shall not permit a sorceress to live.
ASV : Thou shalt not suffer a sorceress to live.
ESV : "You shall not permit a sorceress to live.
ERVEN : "You must not allow any woman to do evil magic. If she does magic, you must not let her live.

BNV : “কোন মানুষ যদি কোন পশুর সঙ্গে য়ৌন সম্পর্ক করে তবে তাকে অবশ্যই হত্যা করবে|
KJV : Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death.
YLT : `Whoever lieth with a beast is certainly put to death.
RV : Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death.
RSV : "Whoever lies with a beast shall be put to death.
ASV : Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death.
ESV : "Whoever lies with an animal shall be put to death.
ERVEN : "You must not allow anyone to have sexual relations with an animal. If this happens, that person must be killed.

BNV : “যদি কোন ব্যক্তি মূর্ত্তিকে নৈবেদ্য দেয় তবে তাকে হত্যা করবে| তোমরা অবশ্যই কেবলমাত্র প্রভুর কাছেই নৈবেদ্য উত্সর্গ করবে|
KJV : He that sacrificeth unto [any] god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed.
YLT : `He who is sacrificing to a god, save to Jehovah alone, is devoted.
RV : He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only, shall be utterly destroyed.
RSV : "Whoever sacrifices to any god, save to the LORD only, shall be utterly destroyed.
ASV : He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto Jehovah only, shall be utterly destroyed.
ESV : "Whoever sacrifices to any god, other than the LORD alone, shall be devoted to destruction.
ERVEN : "Whoever makes a sacrifice to a false god should be destroyed. The Lord is the only one you should make sacrifices to.

BNV : “মনে রাখবে তোমরা ইতিপূর্বে মিশরে বিদেশী ছিলে তাই তোমরা কোন বিদেশীকে ঠকাবে না বা আঘাত করবে না|
KJV : Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
YLT : `And a sojourner thou dost not oppress, nor crush him, for sojourners ye have been in the land of Egypt.
