BNV : সেদিন রাতে রাজার চোখে কিছুতেই ঘুম আসছিল না| রাজা তখন তাঁর এক ভৃত্যকে ডেকে রাজাদের ইতিহাস বই থেকে যেখানে রাজাদের রাজত্ব কালের সব ঘটনা নথিভুক্ত করা আছে তা পড়ে শোনাতে বললেন|
KJV : On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.
YLT : On that night hath the sleep of the king fled away, and he saith to bring in the book of memorials of the Chronicles, and they are read before the king,

ERVEN : That same night, the king could not sleep. So he told a servant to bring the history book and read it to him. (The Book of History of the Kings lists everything that happens during a king's rule.)

BNV : ভৃত্যটি তখন রাজাকে, রাজার আধিকা-রিকবিগ্থন ও তেরশ যারা প্রবেশপথ পাহারা দিত, তাদের দুষ্ট চএান্তের কথা এবং মর্দখযের কথা, য়ে চএান্তের কথা শুনতে পেয়েছিল এবং প্রাসাদে জানিয়ে দিয়েছিল তা পড়ে শোনালো|
KJV : And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.
YLT : and it is found written that Mordecai had declared concerning Bigthana and Teresh, two of the eunuchs of the king, of the keepers of the threshold, who sought to put forth a hand on king Ahasuerus.
RV : And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king-s chamberlains, of those that kept the door, who had sought to lay hands on the king Ahasuerus.
RSV : And it was found written how Mordecai had told about Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's eunuchs, who guarded the threshold, and who had sought to lay hands upon King Ahasuerus.

ESV : And it was found written how Mordecai had told about Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's eunuchs, who guarded the threshold, and who had sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus.
ERVEN : The servant read the book to the king. He read about the evil plan to kill King Xerxes. That was when Mordecai had learned about Bigthana and Teresh. These two men were the king's officers who guarded the doorway. They had planned to kill the king, but Mordecai learned about the plan and told someone about it.

BNV : রাজা জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, “মর্দখয়কে এর জন্য কি সম্মান এবং পুরস্কার দেওয়া হয়েছে?”ভৃত্যরা রাজাকে জানালো, “মর্দখযের জন্য কিছুই করা হয়নি|”
KJV : And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king’s servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.
YLT : And the king saith, `What honour and greatness hath been done to Mordecai for this?` And the servants of the king, his ministers, say, `Nothing hath been done with him.`
RV : And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king-s servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.
RSV : And the king said, "What honor or dignity has been bestowed on Mordecai for this?" The king's servants who attended him said, "Nothing has been done for him."

ESV : And the king said, "What honor or distinction has been bestowed on Mordecai for this?" The king's young men who attended him said, "Nothing has been done for him."
ERVEN : Then the king asked, "What honor and good things have been given to Mordecai for this?" The servants answered the king, "Nothing has been done for Mordecai."

BNV : ঠিক সে সময় হামন রাজপ্রাসাদের বহির্দ্বারে প্রবেশ করলেন| হামন, তখন মর্দখয়কে ফাঁসি দেবার জন্য রাজার অনুমোদন নিতে এসেছিলেন| রাজা বাইরে পাযের আওয়াজ পেয়ে জানতে চাইলেন, “এইমাত্র প্রাঙ্গণের ভেতরে কে এলো?”
KJV : And the king said, Who [is] in the court? Now Haman was come into the outward court of the king’s house, to speak unto the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.
YLT : And the king saith, `Who [is] in the court?` -- and Haman hath come in to the outer court of the house of the king, to say to the king to hang Mordecai on the tree that he had prepared for him --
RV : And the king said, Who is in the court? Now Haman was come into the outward court of the king-s house, to speak unto the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.
RSV : And the king said, "Who is in the court?" Now Haman had just entered the outer court of the king's palace to speak to the king about having Mordecai hanged on the gallows that he had prepared for him.

ESV : And the king said, "Who is in the court?" Now Haman had just entered the outer court of the king's palace to speak to the king about having Mordecai hanged on the gallows that he had prepared for him.
ERVEN : Haman had just entered the outer area of the king's palace. He had come to ask the king to hang Mordecai on the hanging post Haman had commanded to be built. The king said, "Who just came into the courtyard?"

BNV : ভৃত্যরা উত্তর দিল, “হামন চাতালে দাঁড়িয়ে আছেন|”রাজা বললেন, “তাকে ভেতরে নিয়ে এসো|”
KJV : And the king’s servants said unto him, Behold, Haman standeth in the court. And the king said, Let him come in.
YLT : and the servants of the king say unto him, `Lo, Haman is standing in the court;` and the king saith, `Let him come in.`

RSV : So the king's servants told him, "Haman is there, standing in the court." And the king said, "Let him come in."

ESV : And the king's young men told him, "Haman is there, standing in the court." And the king said, "Let him come in."
ERVEN : The king's servants said, "Haman is standing in the courtyard." So the king said, "Bring him in."

BNV : হামন ভেতরে আসার পর রাজা তাঁর কাছে জানতে চাইলেন, “হামন, রাজা কাউকে সম্মান দিতে চাইলে তা কিভাবে দেওয়া উচিত্‌?”হামন মনে মনে ভাবলো, “আমি ছাড়া সম্মান পাওয়ার আর কে আছে? আমি নিশ্চিত, রাজা নিশ্চয়ই আমাকে সম্মান জানানোর কথা ভাবছেন|”
KJV : So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?
YLT : And Haman cometh in, and the king saith to him, `What -- to do with the man in whose honour the king hath delighted?` And Haman saith in his heart, `To whom doth the king delight to do honour more than myself?`
RV : So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman said in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?
RSV : So Haman came in, and the king said to him, "What shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honor?" And Haman said to himself, "Whom would the king delight to honor more than me?"
ASV : So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honor? Now Haman said in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honor more than to myself?
ESV : So Haman came in, and the king said to him, "What should be done to the man whom the king delights to honor?" And Haman said to himself, "Whom would the king delight to honor more than me?"
ERVEN : When Haman came in, the king asked him a question. He said, "Haman, what should be done for a man the king wants to honor?" Haman thought to himself, "Who is there that the king would want to honor more than me? I'm sure that the king is talking about honoring me."

BNV : হামন তখন রাজাকে বললেন, “মহারাজ আপনি যদি কাউকে সম্মান দেখাতে চান তাহলে,
KJV : And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delighteth to honour,
YLT : And Haman saith unto the king, `The man in whose honour the king hath delighted,

BNV : আপনার ভৃত্যদের আপনার নিজের পরা একটি পোশাক ও আপনার নিজের চড়া একটি ঘোড়া আনতে বলুন| ঘোড়াটির মাথায় ভৃত্যরা একটি রাজমুকুট পরিয়ে দিক|
KJV : Let the royal apparel be brought which the king [useth] to wear, and the horse that the king rideth upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head:
YLT : let them bring in royal clothing that the king hath put on himself, and a horse on which the king hath ridden, and that the royal crown be put on his head,
RV : let royal apparel be brought which the king useth to wear, and the horse that the king rideth upon, and on the head of which a crown royal is set:
RSV : let royal robes be brought, which the king has worn, and the horse which the king has ridden, and on whose head a royal crown is set;

ERVEN : Have the servants bring a special robe the king himself has worn and a horse the king himself has ridden. Have the servants put the king's special mark on the horse's head.

BNV : এরপর আপনার কোন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নেতাকে এই রাজপোশাকটি, মহারাজ য়ে ব্যক্তিকে সম্মান জানাতে চান তাকে পরতে সাহায্য করতে বলুন এবং সেই নেতাকে বলুন ঐ ব্যক্তিকে সেই ঘোড়ার ওপর বসিযে সারা শহরের রাস্তায় এই বলে ঘুরে বেড়াতে, ‘রাজা য়াঁকে সম্মান দেখাতে চান তাঁর জন্য এটা করা হল|”‘
KJV : And let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king’s most noble princes, that they may array the man [withal] whom the king delighteth to honour, and bring him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honour.
YLT : and to give the clothing and the horse into the hand of a man of the heads of the king, the chiefs, and they have clothed the man in whose honour the king hath delighted, and caused him to ride on the horse in a broad place of the city, and called before him: Thus it is done to the man in whose honour the king hath delighted.`
RV : and let the apparel and the horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king-s most noble princes, that they may array the man withal whom the king delighteth to honour, and cause him to ride on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honour.
RSV : and let the robes and the horse be handed over to one of the king's most noble princes; let him array the man whom the king delights to honor, and let him conduct the man on horseback through the open square of the city, proclaiming before him: `Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor.'"
ASV : and let the apparel and the horse be delivered to the hand of one of the kings most noble princes, that they may array the man therewith whom the king delighteth to honor, and cause him to ride on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honor.
ESV : And let the robes and the horse be handed over to one of the king's most noble officials. Let them dress the man whom the king delights to honor, and let them lead him on the horse through the square of the city, proclaiming before him: 'Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor.'"
ERVEN : Then put one of the king's most important leaders in charge of the robe and the horse, and let the leader put the robe on the man the king wants to honor. Then let him lead him on the horse through the city streets. As he leads him, let him announce, 'This is done for the man the king wants to honor!'"

BNV : রাজা তখন হামনকে আদেশ দিলেন, “তাড়াতাড়ি গিয়ে ঐ ইহুদী মর্দখযের জন্য একটি ঘোড়া ও পোশাকের ব্যবস্থা কর| যাও, মর্দখয় প্রাসাদের প্রবেশ পথের কাছে অপেক্ষা করে আছে| তুমি য়ে ভাবে বলেছো, সে ভাবে তাঁকে সম্মান দেখাও|”
KJV : Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, [and] take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king’s gate: let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken.
YLT : And the king saith to Haman, `Haste, take the clothing and the horse, as thou hast spoken, and do so to Mordecai the Jew, who is sitting in the gate of the king; there doth not fall a thing of all that thou hast spoken.`
RV : Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king-s gate: let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken.

ERVEN : "Go quickly," the king commanded Haman. "Get the robe and the horse and do just as you have suggested for Mordecai the Jew. He is sitting near the king's gate. Do everything that you suggested."

BNV : হামন গিয়ে রাজার পোশাক ও ঘোড়া নিয়ে এলেন| তারপর মর্দখয়কে নিজে সেই পোশাক পরিয়ে, ঘোড়ায় চড়িযে, শহরের প্রতিটি রাস্তায় য়েতে য়েতে বলতে লাগলেন, “রাজা য়াঁকে সম্মান দেখাতে চান এভাবেই দেখান!”
KJV : Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour.
YLT : And Haman taketh the clothing, and the horse, and clothed Mordecai, and causeth him to ride in a broad place of the city, and calleth before him, `Thus it is done to the man in whose honour the king hath delighted.`

BNV : এরপর মর্দখয় আবার রাজদ্বারেই ফিরে গেলেন কিন্তু অপমানিত হামন লজ্জায বাড়ি ফিরে এলেন| বাড়ি ফিরে এসে লজ্জায ও অপমানে মুখ ঢাকলেন|
KJV : And Mordecai came again to the king’s gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered.
YLT : And Mordecai turneth back unto the gate of the king, and Haman hath been hastened unto his house mourning, and with covered head,

BNV : তিনি তাঁর স্ত্রী ও বন্ধুদের সব কথা খুলে বললেন| হামনের স্ত্রী ও বন্ধুরা হামনকে বললো, “মর্দখয় যদি ইহুদী হয় তাহলে তোমার পক্ষে জয়লাভ করা অসম্ভব| তোমার পতন শুরু হয়েছে এবং এভাবে তুমি নিশ্চিত শেষ হয়ে যাবে|”
KJV : And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every [thing] that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai [be] of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him.
YLT : and Haman recounteth to Zeresh his wife, and to all his friends, all that hath met him, and his wise men say to him, and Zeresh his wife, `If Mordecai [is] of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou art not able for him, but dost certainly fall before him.`
RV : And Haman recounted unto Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. ERVEN : Then Haman told his wife Zeresh and all his friends everything that had happened to him. His wife and the men who gave him advice said, "If Mordecai is a Jew, you cannot win. You have already started to fall. Surely you will be ruined!"

BNV : সকলে মিলে যখন হামনকে এসব কথা বলছে তখন রাজার নপুংসক পরিচারকরা এসে ইষ্টেরের ভোজসভার জন্য হামনকে তাড়াতাড়ি আসতে বললেন|
KJV : And while they [were] yet talking with him, came the king’s chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared.
YLT : They are yet speaking with him, and eunuchs of the king have come, and haste to bring in Haman unto the banquet that Esther hath made.
