PAV ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਤਾਂ ਠੀਕ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਆਣ ਕੇ ਸੱਭੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਮੁੜ ਸੁਆਰੇਗਾ ਪਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤ੍ਰ੍ਰ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿੱਕੁਰ ਲਿੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁੱਖ ਝੱਲੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁੱਛ ਗਿਣਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ?
KJV And he answered and told them, {SCJ}Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought. {SCJ.}
YLT And he answering said to them, `Elijah indeed, having come first, doth restore all things; and how hath it been written concerning the Son of Man, that many things he may suffer, and be set at nought?

ERVEN Jesus answered, "They are right to say that Elijah must come first. Elijah makes all things the way they should be. But why do the Scriptures say that the Son of Man will suffer much and that people will think he is worth nothing?
