ತರುವಾಯ ಯಾಜಕನು ಪಕ್ಷಿಯ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತುಹಾಕಬೇಕು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಪಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ಎರಡು ಭಾಗಗಳಾಗಿ ವಿಭಾಗಿಸಬಾರದು. ಯಾಜಕನು ಪಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆಗಳ ಮೇಲಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಮಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಇದು ಅಗ್ನಿಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆಯಾದ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದರ ಸುವಾಸನೆ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
