ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ --ಯಾಕೋಬನ ವಿಷಯ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಹಾಡಿ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಆರ್ಭಟಿಸಿರಿ, ಸಾರಿರಿ, ಸ್ತುತಿಸಿರಿ; ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಉಳಿದವರನ್ನೂ ರಕ್ಷಿಸು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿರಿ.
