ମିଥ୍ଯା ଦବେତାଗଣଙ୍କର ବୃଷ୍ଟି କରାଇବାର କ୍ଷମତା ନାହିଁ। ଆକାଶମଣ୍ଡଳ ବୃଷ୍ଟିପାତ କରାଇପାରିବ କି ? ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ବର, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ହିଁ ସେ ସବୁର ସୃଷ୍ଟିକର୍ତ୍ତା। ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଅପେକ୍ଷା ରେ ରହିବୁ। କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏହା ହିଁ ସବୁ ତିଆରି କରିଛ।"

Are there [any] among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? [art] not thou he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made all these [things.]
