তখন ইলিয়াকীম, শিব্ন ও য়োযাহ সেনাপতিকে বলেন, “অনুগ্রহ করে আমাদের সঙ্গে অরামীয় ভাষায় কথা বলুন| আমরা এই ভাষা বুঝি| যিহূদার ভাষায় আমাদের সঙ্গে কথা বলবেন না, কারণ শহরের দেওয়ালের ওপর যে লোকরা বসে আছে তারা আপনার কথা শুনতে পাবে এবং বুঝতে পারবে|”

Then said Eliakim and Shebna and Joah unto Rabshakeh, Speak, I pray thee, unto thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand [it:] and speak not to us in the Jews’ language, in the ears of the people that [are] on the wall.
