" ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ କୁହ, 'ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ମାରେ ପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ମରଣ ରେ ଆମ୍ଭର ସନ୍ତାଷେ ନାହିଁା କିନ୍ତୁ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଯେପରି ନିଜ ପାପ ପଥରୁ ନିବୃତ୍ତ ହାଇେ ବଞ୍ଚେ, ସେଥି ରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସନ୍ତାଷେ ଲାଭ କରୁ। ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ନିଜ ନିଜ କୁପଥରୁ ଫରେ ଓ ମାରେ ନିକଟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ହୁଅ। ହେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ବଂଶ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହିଁକି ମରିବ ?'

Say unto them, [As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
