పూరీము పండుగ సంబరాలు మొదలు పెట్టమని చెప్పేందుకుగాను మొర్దెకై ఈ లేఖలు ప్రాశాడు. ఈ కొత్త పండుగను ఎప్పుడు మొదలు పెట్టాలోకూడా అతను ఆ లోఖల్లో వాళ్లకి తెలియచేశాడు. యూదులకు యీ ఉత్తరువును యూదుడైన మొర్దెకై, మహారాణి ఎస్తేరూ పంపారు. తద్వారా వాళ్లు యీ రెండు రోజులు పండుగను తమ తరతరాల యూదుల కోసం స్థిర పరిచారు. తాము ఉపవాసాలు చేసి, జరిగిన చెడుగుల విషయంలో విలపించే ఇతర పండుగలను గుర్తు పెట్టు కూనేటట్లే యూదులు ఈ పండుగను కూడా గుర్తు పెట్టుకుంటారు.

ಮತ್ತು ಪತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂರಿಮ್ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿರಿ ಎಂದೂ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದನು. ಈ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಯಾವ ದಿನ ಆಚರಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನೂ ನಮೂದಿಸಿದನು. ಈ ಎರಡು ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ತಮಗೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂತಾನಗಳವರಿಗೂ ಖಾಯಂಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಯೆಹೂದಿಯಾದ ಮೊರ್ದೆಕೈಯೂ ರಾಣಿ ಎಸ್ತೇರಳೂ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದರು. ತಮಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಕೆಟ್ಟಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ತಂದುಕೊಂಡು ಬೇರೆ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪವಾಸವಿದ್ದು ಗೋಳಾಡುವಂತೆ ಈ ಹಬ್ಬದ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವರು ಮಾಡುವರು.

पुरीम साजरा करायला लोकांना सांगण्यासाठी मर्दखयने ही पत्रे लिहिली. आणि हा नवीन सण केव्हा साजरा करायचा हे ही त्याने सांगितले. यहुदी मर्दखय आणि राणी एस्तेर यांनी यहुद्यांसाठी आदेश पाठवले होते. यहुद्यांमध्ये आणि त्यांच्या वंशजामध्ये हा दोन दिवसांचा सण पक्का रुजावा म्हणून त्या दोघांनी ही कृती केली. इतर सणांच्या दिवशी जसे ते उपवास करून आणि शोक करून तो सण आठवणीने पाळतात तसा हा सण त्यांनी इथून पुढे पाळावा.
