ಹನ್ನೆರಡನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳಾದ ಅದಾರ್ ಮಾಸದ ಹದಿಮೂರನೇ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ವೈರಿಗಳು ರಾಜಾಜ್ಞೆಗನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರನ್ನು ನಿರ್ನಾಮ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅವರು ಆ ದಿವಸಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯು ಬದಲಾಯಿತು. ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಅವರ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಬಲಾಢ್ಯರಾದರು.
