ಯಾಕಂ ದರೆ--ನೀನು ಲೋಕದ ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಯ ವರೆಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೂ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನಮಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

For so hath the Lord commanded us, [saying,] I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
