ప్రవక్త ఓబేదు మాటలు, వర్తమానం విన్న ఆసాకు చాలా ధైర్యం వచ్చింది. తరువాత అతడు యూదా, బెన్యామీను ప్రాంతాలన్నిటిలో వున్న అసహ్యకరమైన విగ్రహాలను తొలగించాడు. తానువశపర్చుకున్న ఎఫ్రాయిము కొండల ప్రాంతంలోని పట్టణాలలో వున్న హేయమైన విగ్రహాలను కూడా ఆసా తొలగించాడు. ఆలయ ముఖమండపంలో వున్న దేవుని బలిపీఠాన్ని కూడా అతడు బాగు చేయించాడు.

ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಓಬೇದನು ತಂದ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಆಸನು ಕೇಳಿ ತುಂಬಾ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಗೊಂಡನು. ಅನಂತರ ಯೆಹೂದ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿಸಿದನು. ಗೆದ್ದಿದ್ದ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಹಾಕಿಸಿದನು. ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಮಂಟಪದೆದುರು ಇದ್ದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಿದನು.

ଆସା ଓବେଦ୍ ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ଶୁଣି ଉତ୍ସାହ ଅନୁଭବ କଲେ। ଏହାପରେ ସେ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ବିନ୍ଯାମୀନର ସମସ୍ତ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରୁ ଘୃଣ୍ଯ ପ୍ରତିମାଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଦୂର କରି ଦେଲେ। ଆସା ଇଫ୍ରଯିମ୍ର ପାର୍ବତ୍ଯମଯ ଦେଶର ଯେଉଁ ସହରଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଅଧିକାର କରିଥିଲେ, ସହେି ସହରଗୁଡ଼ିକରୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ସହେି ଘୃଣ୍ଯ ପ୍ରତିମାଗୁଡ଼ିକ ବାହାର କରି ଦେଲେ। ଆଉ ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରର ବାରଣ୍ଡା ସମ୍ମୁଖସ୍ଥ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ୟଜ୍ଞବଦେୀକୁ ମରାମତି କଲେ।
