ದಾವೀದನ ಕುಲವು ಇಸ್ರೇಲ್ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಆಳುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಂದ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ನಿನಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟೆ. ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ದಾವೀದನಂತಲ್ಲ. ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ವಿಧೇಯನಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಪೂರ್ಣಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ನಾನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.
