ರಾಜನಾದ ಅಹಾಬನು ತನ್ನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ “ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿನ ರಾಜರುಗಳ ಇತಿಹಾಸ” ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರಾಜನು ತನ್ನ ಅರಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಬಳಸಿದ ದಂತದ ಕುರಿತಾಗಿಯೂ ಆ ಪುಸ್ತಕವು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ರಾಜನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ ನಗರಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ಆ ಪುಸ್ತಕವು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
