TOV : என் நாவினால் பாவஞ்செய்யாதபடிக்கு நான் என் வழிகளைக் காத்து, துன்மார்க்கன் எனக்கு முன்பாக இருக்குமட்டும் என் வாயைக் கடிவாளத்தால் அடக்கிவைப்பேன் என்றேன்.
KJV : I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.
YLT : To the Overseer, to Jeduthun. -- A Psalm of David. I have said, `I observe my ways, Against sinning with my tongue, I keep for my mouth a curb, while the wicked [is] before me.`

ESV : TO THE CHOIRMASTER: TO JEDUTHUN. A PSALM OF DAVID. I said, "I will guard my ways, that I may not sin with my tongue; I will guard my mouth with a muzzle, so long as the wicked are in my presence."
ERVEN : To the director: To Jeduthun. A song of David. I said, "I will be careful about what I say. I will not let my tongue cause me to sin. I will keep my mouth closed when I am around wicked people."

TOV : நான் மவுனமாகி, ஊமையனாயிருந்தேன், நலமானதையும் பேசாமல் அமர்ந்திருந்தேன்; ஆனாலும் என் துக்கம் அதிகரித்தது;
KJV : I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, [even] from good; and my sorrow was stirred.

TOV : என் இருதயம் எனக்குள்ளே அனல்கொண்டது; நான் தியானிக்கையில் அக்கினி மூண்டது; அப்பொழுது என் நாவினால் விண்ணப்பம் செய்தேன்.
KJV : My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: [then] spake I with my tongue,

TOV : கர்த்தாவே, நான் எவ்வளவாய் நிலையற்றவன் என்று உணரும்படி என்முடிவையும், என் நாட்களின் அளவு இவ்வளவு என்பதையும் எனக்குத் தெரிவியும்.
KJV : LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it [is; that] I may know how frail I [am.]
YLT : `Cause me to know, O Jehovah, mine end, And the measure of my days -- what it [is],` I know how frail I [am].

ERVEN : Lord, tell me, what will happen to me now? Tell me, how long will I live? Let me know how short my life really is.

TOV : இதோ, என் நாட்களை நாலு விரற்கடையளவாக்கினீர்; என் ஆயுசு உமது பார்வைக்கு இல்லாதது போலிருக்கிறது; எந்த மனுஷனும் மாயையே என்பது நிச்சயம். (சேலா)
KJV : Behold, thou hast made my days [as] an handbreadth; and mine age [is] as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state [is] altogether vanity. Selah.
YLT : Lo, handbreadths Thou hast made my days, And mine age [is] as nothing before Thee, Only, all vanity [is] every man set up. Selah.

ERVEN : You gave me only a short life. Compared to you, my whole life is nothing. The life of every human is like a cloud that quickly disappears. Selah

TOV : வேஷமாகவே மனுஷன் திரிகிறான்; விருதாவாகவே சஞ்சலப்படுகிறான்; ஆஸ்தியைச் சேர்க்கிறான். யார் அதை வாரிக்கொள்ளுவான் என்று அறியான்.
KJV : Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up [riches,] and knoweth not who shall gather them.
YLT : Only, in an image doth each walk habitually, Only, [in] vain, they are disquieted, He heapeth up and knoweth not who gathereth them.

ERVEN : Our life is like an image in a mirror. We rush through life collecting things, but we don't know who will get them after we die.

TOV : இப்போதும் ஆண்டவரே, நான் எதற்கு எதிர்பார்த்திருக்கிறேன்? நீரே என் நம்பிக்கை.
KJV : And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope [is] in thee.
YLT : And, now, what have I expected? O Lord, my hope -- it [is] of Thee.

TOV : நீரே இதைச் செய்தீர் என்று நான் என் வாயைத் திறவாமல் மவுனமாயிருந்தேன்.

KJV : When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man [is] vanity. Selah.
YLT : With reproofs against iniquity, Thou hast corrected man, And dost waste as a moth his desirableness, Only, vanity [is] every man. Selah.

TOV : கர்த்தாவே, என் ஜெபத்தைக் கேட்டு, என் கூப்பிடுதலுக்குச் செவிகொடும்; என் கண்ணீருக்கு மவுனமாயிராதேயும்; என் பிதாக்களெல்லாரையும்போல நானும் உமக்குமுன்பாக அந்நியனும் பரதேசியுமாயிருக்கிறேன்.
KJV : Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I [am] a stranger with thee, [and] a sojourner, as all my fathers [were.]
YLT : Hear my prayer, O Jehovah, And [to] my cry give ear, Unto my tear be not silent, For a sojourner I [am] with Thee, A settler like all my fathers.

ERVEN : Lord, hear my prayer! Listen to the words I cry to you. Look at my tears. I am only a traveler passing through this life with you. Like all my ancestors, I will live here only a short time.
