BNV : এরপর দিয়াবল য়েন যীশুকে পরীক্ষা করতে পারে তাই আত্মা যীশুকে প্রান্তরে নিয়ে গেলেন৷
KJV : Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

BNV : তখন সেই পরীক্ষক দিয়াবল তাঁর কাছে এসে বলল, ‘তুমি যদি ঈশ্বরের পুত্র হও, তবে এই পাথরগুলিকে রুটিতে পরিণত হতে বল৷’
KJV : And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
YLT : And the Tempter having come to him said, `If Son thou art of God -- speak that these stones may become loaves.`

BNV : কিন্তু যীশু এর উত্তরে বললেন: ‘শাস্ত্রে একথা লেখা আছে, ‘মানুষ কেবল রুটিতে বাঁচে না, কিন্তু ঈশ্বরের মুখের প্রত্যেকটি বাক্যেই বাঁচে৷’দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ 8:3
KJV : But he answered and said, {SCJ}It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. {SCJ.}

BNV : দিয়াবল তখন পবিত্র নগরী জেরুশালেমের মন্দিরের চূড়ায় যীশুকে নিয়ে গেল;

BNV : আর যীশুকে বলল, ‘তুমি যদি ঈশ্বরের পুত্র হও তবে লাফ দিয়ে নীচে পড়, কারণ শাস্ত্রে তো একথা লেখা আছে: ‘তিনি তাঁর স্বর্গদূতদের তোমার উপর দৃষ্টি রাখতে আদেশ দেবেন আর তারা তোমাকে তুলে ধরবেন, য়েন পাথরের উপর পড়ে তোমার পায়ে আঘাত না লাগে৷'" গীতসংহিতা 91 :11 -12
KJV : And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in [their] hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

BNV : এরপর দিয়াবল আবার তাঁকে খুব উঁচু একটা পাহাড়ে নিয়ে গিয়ে জগতের সমস্ত রাজ্য ও তার সম্পদ দেখাল৷

BNV : পরে দিয়াবল যীশুকে বলল, ‘তুমি যদি আমার সামনে মাথা নত করে আমার উপাসনা কর, তবে এসবই আমি তোমায় দেব৷’
KJV : And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

BNV : তখন দিয়াবল তাঁকে ছেড়েচলে গেল আর স্বর্গদূতরা এসে যীশুর সেবা করলেন৷

BNV : যীশু যখন শুনলেন য়োহনকে গ্রেপ্তার করে নিয়ে গেছে, তখন তিনি গালীলে চলে গেলেন৷
KJV : Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;
YLT : And Jesus having heard that John was delivered up, did withdraw to Galilee,

KJV : The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, [by] the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;

BNV : য়ে লোকরা অন্ধকারে বাস করে, তারা মহাজ্যোতি দেখতে পেল, আর যাঁরা মৃত্যুছায়ার দেশে থাকে, তাদের উপর আলোর উদয় হল৷’যিশাইয় 9:1-2
KJV : The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
YLT : the people that is sitting in darkness saw a great light, and to those sitting in a region and shadow of death -- light arose to them.`

BNV : যীশু তাদের বললেন, ‘আমার সঙ্গে চল, মাছ নয়, কেমন করে মানুষ ধরতে হয়, আমি তা তোমাদের শেখাব৷’
KJV : And he saith unto them, {SCJ}Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. {SCJ.}

BNV : সেখান থেকে যীশু আরও এগিয়ে গেলে আরো দুজন লোককে দেখতে পেলেন৷ সিবদিয়ের ছেলে যাকোব ও তাঁর ভাইয়োহন৷ যীশু দেখলেন, ‘তাঁরা তাদের বাবার সঙ্গে নৌকাতে জাল সারাচ্ছেন৷ যীশু তাঁদের ডাকলেন,

ERVEN : Jesus continued walking by Lake Galilee. He saw two other brothers, James and John, the sons of Zebedee. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee. They were preparing their nets to catch fish. Jesus told the brothers to come with him.

BNV : তাঁরা তখনইনৌকা ও তাঁদের বাবাকে ছেড়ে যীশুর সঙ্গে চললেন৷
KJV : And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.

BNV : যীশু গালীলের সব জায়গায় ঘুরে ঘুরে, ইহুদীদের সমাজ-গৃহে গিয়ে শিক্ষা দিতে লাগলেন এবং সকলের কাছে স্বর্গরাজ্যের বিষয়ে সুসমাচার প্রচার করতে লাগলেন৷ তিনি লোকদের মধ্যে নানারকম রোগ-ব্যাধি ভাল করতে থাকলেন৷
KJV : And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
YLT : And Jesus was going about all Galilee teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the good news of the reign, and healing every disease, and every malady among the people,

BNV : সমস্ত সুরিয়া দেশে তাঁর কথা ছড়িয়ে পড়ল, ফলে লোকরা নানা রোগে অসুস্থ রোগীদের সুস্থ করার জন্য তাঁর কাছে নিয়ে এলো, য়েমন ব্যথা-বেদনাগ্রস্ত, ভূতে পাওয়া, মৃগীরোগী ও পক্ষাঘাতগ্রস্ত, আর তিনি তাদের সকলকেই ভাল করলেন৷
KJV : And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.
YLT : and his fame went forth to all Syria, and they brought to him all having ailments, pressed with manifold sicknesses and pains, and demoniacs, and lunatics, and paralytics, and he healed them.

ESV : So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons, epileptics, and paralytics, and he healed them.
ERVEN : The news about Jesus spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all those who were sick. They were suffering from different kinds of diseases and pain. Some had demons inside them, some suffered from seizures, and some were paralyzed. Jesus healed them all.
