BNV : অবীমেলক হলেন যিরুব্বালের পুত্র| শিখিম শহরে তাঁর কাকা জ্য়াঠারা বাস করতেন| সেখানে অবীমেলক চলে গেলেন| তাঁদের এবং মামার বাড়ির সকলের কাছে তিনি বললেন,
KJV : And Abimelech the son of Jerubbaal went to Shechem unto his mother’s brethren, and communed with them, and with all the family of the house of his mother’s father, saying,
YLT : and Abimelech son of Jerubbaal goeth to Shechem, unto his mother`s brethren, and speaketh unto them, and unto all the family of the house of his mother`s father, saying,
RV : And Abimelech the son of Jerubbaal went to Shechem unto his mother-s brethren, and spake with them, and with all the family of the house of his mother-s father, saying,
RSV : Now Abimelech the son of Jerubbaal went to Shechem to his mother's kinsmen and said to them and to the whole clan of his mother's family,
ASV : And Abimelech the son of Jerubbaal went to Shechem unto his mothers brethren, and spake with them, and with all the family of the house of his mothers father, saying,
ESV : Now Abimelech the son of Jerubbaal went to Shechem to his mother's relatives and said to them and to the whole clan of his mother's family,
ERVEN : Abimelech was the son of Jerub Baal (Gideon). Abimelech went to his uncles who lived in the city of Shechem. He said to his uncles and all of his mother's family,

BNV : “এ কথাটা তোমরা শিখিম শহরে নেতাদের জিজ্ঞাসা কর: ‘যিরুব্বালের 70 জন পুত্রের শাসন ভাল না একজন লোকর শাসন ভাল? মনে রেখো আমি তোমাদের আত্মীয|”‘
KJV : Speak, I pray you, in the ears of all the men of Shechem, Whether is better for you, either that all the sons of Jerubbaal, [which are] threescore and ten persons, reign over you, or that one reign over you? remember also that I [am] your bone and your flesh.
YLT : `Speak, I pray you, in the ears of all the masters of Shechem, Which [is] good for you -- the ruling over you of seventy men (all the sons of Jerubbaal), or the ruling over you of one man? -- and ye have remembered that I [am] your bone and your flesh.`
RV : Speak, I pray you, in the ears of all the men of Shechem, Whether is better for you that all the sons of Jerubbaal, which are threescore and ten persons, rule over you, or that one rule over you? remember also that I am your bone and your flesh.
RSV : "Say in the ears of all the citizens of Shechem, `Which is better for you, that all seventy of the sons of Jerubbaal rule over you, or that one rule over you?' Remember also that I am your bone and your flesh."
ASV : Speak, I pray you, in the ears of all the men of Shechem, Whether is better for you, that all the sons of Jerubbaal, who are threescore and ten persons, rule over you, or that one rule over you? remember also that I am your bone and your flesh.
ESV : "Say in the ears of all the leaders of Shechem, 'Which is better for you, that all seventy of the sons of Jerubbaal rule over you, or that one rule over you?' Remember also that I am your bone and your flesh."
ERVEN : "Ask the leaders of the city of Shechem this question: 'Is it better for you to be ruled by the 70 sons of Jerub Baal or to be ruled by only one man? Remember, I am your relative.'"

BNV : অবীমেলকের কাকা শিখিমের নেতাদের এই প্রশ্ন জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন| নেতারা অবীমেলককে অনুসরণ করা স্থির করল| নেতারা বলল, “যতই হোক্, অবীমেলক আমাদের ভাই|”
KJV : And his mother’s brethren spake of him in the ears of all the men of Shechem all these words: and their hearts inclined to follow Abimelech; for they said, He [is] our brother.
YLT : And his mother`s brethren speak concerning him, in the ears of all the masters of Shechem, all these words, and their heart inclineth after Abimelech, for they said, `He [is] our brother;`
RV : And his mother-s brethren spake of him in the ears of all the men of Shechem all these words: and their hearts inclined to follow Abimelech; for they said, He is our brother.
RSV : And his mother's kinsmen spoke all these words on his behalf in the ears of all the men of Shechem; and their hearts inclined to follow Abimelech, for they said, "He is our brother."
ASV : And his mothers brethren spake of him in the ears of all the men of Shechem all these words: and their hearts inclined to follow Abimelech; for they said, He is our brother.
ESV : And his mother's relatives spoke all these words on his behalf in the ears of all the leaders of Shechem, and their hearts inclined to follow Abimelech, for they said, "He is our brother."
ERVEN : Abimelech's uncles spoke to the leaders of Shechem and asked them that question. The leaders of Shechem decided to follow Abimelech. They said, "After all, he is our brother."

BNV : তারা তাকে 70 খানা রূপোর খণ্ড দান করল| তারা বাল-বরীতের মন্দির থেকে এইসব রূপো এনেছিল| সেই রূপো দিয়ে অবীমেলক কিছু লোক ভাড়া করলেন| এই লোকগুলো ছিল অপদার্থ, বেপরোযা ধরণের| অবীমেলক যেখানেই যেতেন তারাও তার সঙ্গে সঙ্গে যেত|
KJV : And they gave him threescore and ten [pieces] of silver out of the house of Baal-berith, wherewith Abimelech hired vain and light persons, which followed him.
YLT : and they give to him seventy silverings out of the house of Baal-Berith, and Abimelech hireth with them men, vain and unstable, and they go after him;
RV : And they gave him threescore and ten {cf15i pieces} of silver out of the house of Baal-berith, wherewith Abimelech hired vain and light fellows, which followed him.
RSV : And they gave him seventy pieces of silver out of the house of Baalberith with which Abimelech hired worthless and reckless fellows, who followed him.

ERVEN : So the leaders of Shechem gave Abimelech 70 pieces of silver. That silver was from the temple of the god Baal Berith. Abimelech used the silver to hire some men. These men were worthless, reckless men. They followed Abimelech wherever he went.

BNV : অবীমেলক অফ্রায় তার পিতার বাড়ীতে গিয়ে ভাইদের হত্যা করলেন| গিদিয়োনের 70 জন পুত্রকে তিনি একসঙ্গে হত্যা করলেন| কিন্তু যিরুব্বালের ছোট ছেলেটি লুকিয়ে ছিল| সে পালিয়ে গেল| তার নাম য়োথম|
KJV : And he went unto his father’s house at Ophrah, and slew his brethren the sons of Jerubbaal, [being] threescore and ten persons, upon one stone: notwithstanding yet Jotham the youngest son of Jerubbaal was left; for he hid himself.
YLT : and he goeth into the house of his father at Ophrah, and slayeth his brethren, sons of Jerubbaal, seventy men, on one stone; and Jotham, youngest son of Jerubbaal, is left, for he was hidden.
RV : And he went unto his father-s house at Ophrah, and slew his brethren the sons of Jerubbaal, being threescore and ten persons, upon one stone: but Jotham the youngest son of Jerubbaal was left; for he hid himself.

ESV : And he went to his father's house at Ophrah and killed his brothers the sons of Jerubbaal, seventy men, on one stone. But Jotham the youngest son of Jerubbaal was left, for he hid himself.
ERVEN : Abimelech went to his father's house at Ophrah and murdered his brothers. He killed the 70 sons of his father, Jerub Baal. He killed them all at the same time, but Jerub Baal's youngest son hid from Abimelech and escaped. The youngest son's name was Jotham.

BNV : তারপর শিখিমের নেতারা আর মিল্লোর লোকরা সব একত্র হয়ে শিখিমে একটি বিরাট গাছের নীচে অবীমেলককে রাজা হিসাবে মেনে নিল|
KJV : And all the men of Shechem gathered together, and all the house of Millo, and went, and made Abimelech king, by the plain of the pillar that [was] in Shechem.
YLT : And all the masters of Shechem are gathered together, and all the house of Millo, and come and cause Abimelech to reign for king at the oak of the camp which [is] in Shechem;
RV : And all the men of Shechem assembled themselves together, and all the house of Millo, and went and made Abimelech king, by the oak of the pillar that was in Shechem.
RSV : And all the citizens of Shechem came together, and all Bethmillo, and they went and made Abimelech king, by the oak of the pillar at Shechem.
ASV : And all the men of Shechem assembled themselves together, and all the house of Millo, and went and made Abimelech king, by the oak of the pillar that was in Shechem.
ESV : And all the leaders of Shechem came together, and all Beth-millo, and they went and made Abimelech king, by the oak of the pillar at Shechem.
ERVEN : Then all of the leaders in Shechem and the house of Millo came together. Everyone gathered beside the big tree of the pillar in Shechem and made Abimelech their king.

BNV : য়োথম শুনতে পেল যে শিখিমের নেতারা অবীমেলককে রাজা করেছে| তারপর সে গরিষীম পর্বতের মাথায় উঠে গিয়ে চিত্কার করে এই গল্পটি বলতে লাগল:শোনো, শিখিমের যত নেতারা শোনো| শোনার পরেই তোমাদের কথা ঈশ্বর শুনবেন|
KJV : And when they told [it] to Jotham, he went and stood in the top of mount Gerizim, and lifted up his voice, and cried, and said unto them, Hearken unto me, ye men of Shechem, that God may hearken unto you.
YLT : and they declare [it] to Jotham, and he goeth and standeth on the top of mount Gerizim, and lifteth up his voice, and calleth, and saith to them, `Hearken unto me, O masters of Shechem, and God doth hearken unto you:
RV : And when they told it to Jotham, he went and stood in the top of mount Gerizim, and lifted up his voice, and cried, and said unto them, Hearken unto me, ye men of Shechem, that God may hearken unto you.
RSV : When it was told to Jotham, he went and stood on the top of Mount Gerizim, and cried aloud and said to them, "Listen to me, you men of Shechem, that God may listen to you.
ASV : And when they told it to Jotham, he went and stood on the top of mount Gerizim, and lifted up his voice, and cried, and said unto them, Hearken unto me, ye men of Shechem, that God may hearken unto you.
ESV : When it was told to Jotham, he went and stood on top of Mount Gerizim and cried aloud and said to them, "Listen to me, you leaders of Shechem, that God may listen to you.
ERVEN : Jotham heard that the leaders of the city of Shechem had made Abimelech king. When he heard this, he went and stood on the top of Mount Gerizim and shouted out this story to the people: "Listen to me you leaders of the city of Shechem. Then let God listen to you.

BNV : একদা বনের সমস্ত গাছপালা ভাবল জলপাই গাছ হোক না তাদের রাজা| সেই মতো তারা জলপাই গাছকে বলল, “তুমি আমাদের ওপর রাজত্ব কর|”
KJV : The trees went forth [on a time] to anoint a king over them; and they said unto the olive tree, Reign thou over us.
YLT : `The trees have diligently gone to anoint over them a king, and they say to the olive, Reign thou over us.
RV : The trees went forth on a time to anoint a king over them; and they said unto the olive tree, Reign thou over us.
RSV : The trees once went forth to anoint a king over them; and they said to the olive tree, `Reign over us.'
ASV : The trees went forth on a time to anoint a king over them; and they said unto the olive-tree, Reign thou over us.
ESV : The trees once went out to anoint a king over them, and they said to the olive tree, 'Reign over us.'
ERVEN : "One day the trees decided to choose a king to rule over them. The trees said to the olive tree, 'You be king over us.'

BNV : জলপাই গাছ বলল, “দেখো, মানুষ, দেবতা সবাই আমার তেলের জন্য আমাকে প্রশংসা করে| তোমরা কি চাও আমি তেলের প্রস্তুতি বন্ধ করে দিই এবং অন্য গাছদের শাসন করি?”
KJV : But the olive tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honour God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?
YLT : And the olive saith to them, Have I ceased from my fatness, by which they honour gods and men, that I have gone to stagger over the trees?
RV : But the olive tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honour God and man, and go to wave to and fro over the trees?
RSV : But the olive tree said to them, `Shall I leave my fatness, by which gods and men are honored, and go to sway over the trees?'
ASV : But the olive-tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honor God and man, and go to wave to and fro over the trees?
ESV : But the olive tree said to them, 'Shall I leave my abundance, by which gods and men are honored, and go hold sway over the trees?'
ERVEN : "But the olive tree said, 'My oil is used to honor gods and humans. Should I stop making my oil just to go and sway over the other trees?'

BNV : গাছরা তখন ডুমুর গাছকে বলল, “হও না তুমি আমাদের রাজা|”
KJV : And the trees said to the fig tree, Come thou, [and] reign over us.
YLT : And the trees say to the fig, Come thou, reign over us.
RV : And the trees said to the fig tree, Come thou, and reign over us.
RSV : And the trees said to the fig tree, `Come you, and reign over us.'
ASV : And the trees said to the fig-tree, Come thou, and reign over us.

BNV : ডুমুর গাছটি বলল, “আমি কি ডুমুর ও মিষ্ট ফল ফলান বন্ধ করে শুধুই অন্য গাছদের ওপর শাসন করব?”
KJV : But the fig tree said unto them, Should I forsake my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to be promoted over the trees?
YLT : And the fig saith to them, Have I ceased from my sweetness, and my good increase, that I have gone to stagger over the trees?
RV : But the fig tree said unto them, Should I leave my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to wave to and fro over the trees?
RSV : But the fig tree said to them, `Shall I leave my sweetness and my good fruit, and go to sway over the trees?'
ASV : But the fig-tree said unto them, Should I leave my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to wave to and fro over the trees?
ESV : But the fig tree said to them, 'Shall I leave my sweetness and my good fruit and go hold sway over the trees?'
ERVEN : "But the fig tree answered, 'Should I stop making my good, sweet fruit just to go and sway over the other trees?'

BNV : তারপর তারা দ্রাক্ষালতার কাছে গিয়ে বলল, “দ্রাক্ষালতা, আমাদের রাজা হও|”
KJV : Then said the trees unto the vine, Come thou, [and] reign over us.

BNV : দ্রাক্ষালতা বলল, “সকলেই আমার রসের গুনে খুশি| সে মানুষই হোক অথবা ঈশ্বর| তোমরা কি চাও আমি রসের জোগান বন্ধ করে অন্য গাছদের শাসন করি?”
KJV : And the vine said unto them, Should I leave my wine, which cheereth God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?
YLT : And the vine saith to them, Have I ceased from my new wine, which is rejoicing gods and men, that I have gone to stagger over the trees?
RV : And the vine said unto them, Should I leave my wine, which cheereth God and man, and go to wave to and fro over the trees?
RSV : But the vine said to them, `Shall I leave my wine which cheers gods and men, and go to sway over the trees?'
ASV : And the vine said unto them, Should I leave my new wine, which cheereth God and man, and go to wave to and fro over the trees?
ESV : But the vine said to them, 'Shall I leave my wine that cheers God and men and go hold sway over the trees?'
ERVEN : "But the vine answered, 'My wine makes men and kings happy. Should I stop making my wine just to go and sway over the trees?'

BNV : অবশেষে তারা কাঁটা ঝোপঝাড়ে গিয়ে বলল, “আমরা তোমাকে রাজা করব|”
KJV : Then said all the trees unto the bramble, Come thou, [and] reign over us.
YLT : And all the trees say unto the bramble, Come thou, reign over us.
RV : Then said all the trees unto the bramble, Come thou, and reign over us.
RSV : Then all the trees said to the bramble, `Come you, and reign over us.'
ASV : Then said all the trees unto the bramble, Come thou, and reign over us.

ERVEN : "Finally all the trees said to the thornbush, 'Come and be our king.'

BNV : তখন কাঁটাগাছ তাদের বলল, “সত্যিই যদি তোমরা আমাকে তোমাদের রাজা কর, তবে চলে এসো আমার ছায়ায়, আশ্রয় নাও এখানে| তোমরা যদি তা না করো কাঁটাঝোপ থেকে দাউদাউ করে আগুন বেরোবে| এটা লিবানোনের এরস গাছগুলিকে পুড়িয়ে দেবে|”
KJV : And the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth ye anoint me king over you, [then] come [and] put your trust in my shadow: and if not, let fire come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon.
YLT : And the bramble saith unto the trees, If in truth ye are anointing me for king over you, come, take refuge in my shadow; and if not -- fire cometh out from the bramble, and devoureth the cedars of Lebanon.
RV : And the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth ye anoint me king over you, then come and put your trust in my shadow: and if not, let fire come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon.
RSV : And the bramble said to the trees, `If in good faith you are anointing me king over you, then come and take refuge in my shade; but if not, let fire come out of the bramble and devour the cedars of Lebanon.'
ASV : And the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth ye anoint me king over you, then come and take refuge in my shade; and if not, let fire come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon.
ESV : And the bramble said to the trees, 'If in good faith you are anointing me king over you, then come and take refuge in my shade, but if not, let fire come out of the bramble and devour the cedars of Lebanon.'
ERVEN : "But the thornbush said to the trees, 'If you really want to make me king over you, come and find shelter in my shade. But if you don't want to do this, let fire come out of the thornbush. Let the fire burn even the cedar trees of Lebanon.'

BNV : “এখন সত্যিই যদি তোমরা মনে প্রাণে অবীমেলককে রাজা করো, তাহলে তাকে নিয়ে সুখে থাকো| আর যদি তোমরা যিরুব্বাল ও তার পরিবারের প্রতি সুবিচার করেছ বলে মনে কর সে তো ভালই|
KJV : Now therefore, if ye have done truly and sincerely, in that ye have made Abimelech king, and if ye have dealt well with Jerubbaal and his house, and have done unto him according to the deserving of his hands;
YLT : `And, now, if in truth and in sincerity ye have acted, when ye make Abimelech king; and if ye have done good with Jerubbaal, and with his house; and if according to the deed of his hands ye have done to him --
RV : Now therefore, if ye have dealt truly and uprightly, in that ye have made Abimelech king, and if ye have dealt well with Jerubbaal and his house, and have done unto him according to the deserving of his hands;
RSV : "Now therefore, if you acted in good faith and honor when you made Abimelech king, and if you have dealt well with Jerubbaal and his house, and have done to him as his deeds deserved --
ASV : Now therefore, if ye have dealt truly and uprightly, in that ye have made Abimelech king, and if ye have dealt well with Jerubbaal and his house, and have done unto him according to the deserving of his hands;
ESV : "Now therefore, if you acted in good faith and integrity when you made Abimelech king, and if you have dealt well with Jerubbaal and his house and have done to him as his deeds deserved-
ERVEN : "Now if you were completely honest when you made Abimelech king, may you be happy with him. And if you have been fair to Jerub Baal (Gideon) and his family, and if you have treated him as you should, this is also good.

BNV : কিন্তু একবার ভেবে দেখো, আমার পিতা তোমাদের জন্য কি করেছিলেন| তিনি তোমাদের জন্য যুদ্ধ করেছিলেন| মিদিযনের হাত থেকে তোমাদের বাঁচানোর জন্য তিনি নিজের জীবন বিপন্ন করেছিলেন|
KJV : (For my father fought for you, and adventured his life far, and delivered you out of the hand of Midian:
YLT : because my father hath fought for you, and doth cast away his life from [him], and deliver you from the hand of Midian;
RV : (for my father fought for you, and adventured his life, and delivered you out of the hand of Midian:
RSV : for my father fought for you, and risked his life, and rescued you from the hand of Midian;
ASV : (for my father fought for you, and adventured his life, and delivered you out of the hand of Midian:
ESV : for my father fought for you and risked his life and delivered you from the hand of Midian,
ERVEN : But remember what my father did for you. He fought for you and risked his life when he saved you from the Midianites.

BNV : কিন্তু আজ তোমরা আমার পিতার পরিবারের বিরুদ্ধে মাথা তুলে দাঁড়িয়েছ| তোমরা তাঁর 70 জন পুত্রকে একসঙ্গে হত্যা করেছ| তোমরা অবীমেলককে তোমাদের রাজা করেছ| তোমরা তাকে রাজা করেছ কারণ সে তোমাদের আত্মীয| কিন্তু সে আমার পিতার ক্রীতদাসীর পুত্র, এছাড়া আর কিছু নয়|
KJV : And ye are risen up against my father’s house this day, and have slain his sons, threescore and ten persons, upon one stone, and have made Abimelech, the son of his maidservant, king over the men of Shechem, because he [is] your brother;)
YLT : and ye have risen against the house of my father to-day, and slay his sons, seventy men, on one stone, and cause Abimelech son of his handmaid to reign over the masters of Shechem, because he [is] your brother --
RV : and ye are risen up against my father-s house this day, and have slain his sons, threescore and ten persons, upon one stone, and have made Abimelech, the son of his maidservant, king over the men of Shechem, because he is your brother;)
RSV : and you have risen up against my father's house this day, and have slain his sons, seventy men on one stone, and have made Abimelech, the son of his maidservant, king over the citizens of Shechem, because he is your kinsman --
ASV : and ye are risen up against my fathers house this day, and have slain his sons, threescore and ten persons, upon one stone, and have made Abimelech, the son of his maid-servant, king over the men of Shechem, because he is your brother);
ESV : and you have risen up against my father's house this day and have killed his sons, seventy men on one stone, and have made Abimelech, the son of his female servant, king over the leaders of Shechem, because he is your relative-
ERVEN : But now you have turned against my father's family. You have killed 70 of his sons all at the same time. You made Abimelech the new king over the city of Shechem. He is only the son of my father's slave girl. But you made him king because he is your relative.

BNV : তাই বলছি যিরুব্বাল ও তাঁর পরিবারের প্রতি সত্যিই যদি তোমরা যথার্থ ব্যবহার করে থাকো, তাহলে অবীমেলককে রাজা হিসেবে পেয়ে তোমরা সুখী হও| সেও তোমাদের নিয়ে সুখী হোক্|
KJV : If ye then have dealt truly and sincerely with Jerubbaal and with his house this day, [then] rejoice ye in Abimelech, and let him also rejoice in you:
YLT : yea, if in truth and in sincerity ye have acted with Jerubbaal and with his house this day, rejoice ye in Abimelech, and he doth rejoice -- even he -- in you;
RV : if ye then have dealt truly and uprightly with Jerubbaal and with his house this day, then rejoice ye in Abimelech, and let him also rejoice in you:
RSV : if you then have acted in good faith and honor with Jerubbaal and with his house this day, then rejoice in Abimelech, and let him also rejoice in you;
