BNV : কিন্তু যে বিপদে পড়েছিল তার জন্য কোন অন্ধকার থাকবে না| লোকরা অতীতে সবূলূন দেশ ও নপ্তালি দেশকে কোন গুরুত্বই দিত না| কিন্তু পরবর্তী-কালে সমুদ্রের নিকটবর্তী দেশ, য়র্দন নদীর অপর পারের দেশ এবং অ-ইহুদীদের মহকুমাটিকে ঈশ্বর খুব মহান করবেন|
KJV : Nevertheless the dimness [shall] not [be] such as [was] in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict [her by] the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.
YLT : As the former time made light The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, So the latter hath honoured the way of the sea, Beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations.

ERVEN : In the past, people thought the land of Zebulun and Naphtali was not important. But later, that land will be honored— the land along the sea, the land east of the Jordan River, and Galilee where people from other nations live.

BNV : এই সব দেশের লোক অন্ধকারে বাস করত| কিন্তু তারা মহা-আলোকটি দেখতে পাবে| ঐসব লোক কবরের মত অন্ধকার জায়গায় বাস করত| কিন্তু “মহা-আলোক” তাদের ওপর কিরণ দেবে|
KJV : The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.

BNV : হে ঈশ্বর, আপনিই জাতিটিকে বড় হতে দেবেন| আপনিই সেখানকার লোকদের সুখী করবেন| তারা আপনার উপস্থিতিতে যুদ্ধ জয়ের শেষে লুটের মাল ভাগের সময়কার আনন্দের মতো, ফসল তোলার সময়ের আনন্দের মতো সুখ ভোগ করবে|
KJV : Thou hast multiplied the nation, [and] not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, [and] as [men] rejoice when they divide the spoil.

ERVEN : God, you will make the nation grow, and you will make the people happy. They will rejoice in your presence as they do at harvest time. It will be like the joy when people take their share of things they have won in war.

BNV : কেননা আপনি তাদের ভারের বোঝা, তাদের কাঁধের বাঁক, শাস্তি দেওয়ার জন্য তাদের উপর ব্যবহৃত শএুদের দণ্ড সরিয়ে নেবেন| যেমন মিদিযনকে হারানোর পরে আপনি করেছিলেন|

BNV : যুদ্ধে দুর্বারভাবে এগিয়ে যাওয়া প্রতিটি বুট, যুদ্ধে সজ্জিত ব্যক্তির রক্তে রঞ্জিত সাজ-পোশাক আগুনে পুড়িয়ে ধ্বংস করা হবে|
KJV : For every battle of the warrior [is] with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but [this] shall be with burning [and] fuel of fire.

BNV : একটি বিশেষ শিশু জন্মগ্রহণ করার পরই এটা ঘটবে| ঈশ্বর আমাদের একটি পুত্র দেবেন| লোকদের নেতৃত্ব দেওয়ার ভার তার ওপর থাকবে| তার নাম হবে “আশ্চর্য়্য় মন্ত্রী, ক্ষমতাবান ঈশ্বর, চিরজীবি পিতা, শান্তির রাজকুমার|”
KJV : For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
YLT : For a Child hath been born to us, A Son hath been given to us, And the princely power is on his shoulder, And He doth call his name Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace.

BNV : ন্যায়পরায়ণতা ও ধার্মিকতা দিয়ে তার শাসন স্থাপন করে| এখন থেকে এবং চির কালের জন্য দাযূদ পরিবার উদ্ভূত রাজার রাজত্বে শক্তি ও শান্তি বিরাজ করবে| তাঁর লোকদের জন্য প্রভুর প্রবল উদ্দীপনা তাঁকে এই সব কাজ করাবে|
KJV : Of the increase of [his] government and peace [there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
YLT : To the increase of the princely power, And of peace, there is no end, On the throne of David, and on his kingdom, To establish it, and to support it, In judgment and in righteousness, Henceforth, even unto the age, The zeal of Jehovah of Hosts doth this.

ERVEN : His power will continue to grow, and there will be peace without end. This will establish him as the king sitting on David's throne and ruling his kingdom. He will rule with goodness and justice forever and ever. The strong love that the Lord All-Powerful has for his people will make this happen!

BNV : আমার প্রভু যাকোবের সমস্ত লোকদের বিরুদ্ধে এক আদেশ দেবেন| ইস্রায়েলের বিরুদ্ধে এই আদেশ পালন করা হবে|
KJV : The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.

BNV : তখন ইস্রায়েলের লোক এমনকি শমরিয়ার প্রধানরাও জানতে পারবে যে ঈশ্বর তাদের শাস্তি দিয়েছেন|এখন তারা অহঙ্কারী এবং দাম্ভিক| তারা বলে,
KJV : And all the people shall know, [even] Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart,

ERVEN : So all the people in Ephraim, including the ruler in Samaria, learned their lesson. Those people are very proud and boastful now. They say,

BNV : “এই ইঁটগুলো হয়তো ভেঙে পড়তে পারে, কিন্তু আমরা আবার শক্তিশালী পাথর দিয়ে সেটি গড়ে তুলব| এই সুকমোর গাছগুলি হয়তো কাটা যেতে পারে, কিন্তু আমরা সেখানে নতুন গাছ লাগাব| এবং এই নতুন গাছগুলি হবে বড় এবং শক্তিশালী এরস গাছ|”
KJV : The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change [them into] cedars.

BNV : তাই প্রভু ইস্রায়েলের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধের জন্য লোকের খোঁজ করবেন| প্রভু তাদের বিরুদ্ধে রত্‌সীনের শএুদের কাজে লাগাবেন|
KJV : Therefore the LORD shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against him, and join his enemies together;

BNV : প্রভু পূর্ব থেকে অরাম এবং পশ্চিম থেকে পলেষ্টীয়দের আনবেন| ঐ শএুরা তাদের সৈন্যবাহিনী ব্যবহার করে ইস্রায়েলকে পরাজিত করবেন| কিন্তু তবুও ইস্রায়েলের ওপর থেকে প্রভুর রোধ যাবে না| তবুও প্রভু এখানকার লোকদের শাস্তি দেওয়ার জন্য প্রস্তুত থাকবেন|
KJV : The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand [is] stretched out still.

KJV : For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts.
YLT : And the people hath not turned back unto Him who is smiting it, And Jehovah of Hosts they have not sought.

KJV : Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.
YLT : And Jehovah cutteth off from Israel head and tail, Branch and reed -- the same day,

BNV : (এখানে মাথার মানে হল শহরের সম্মানীয গুরুত্বপূর্ণ নেতা বা প্রধান| লেজ মানে হল মিথ্যা কথা বলে এমন ভাব্বাদী|)
KJV : The ancient and honourable, he [is] the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he [is] the tail.
YLT : Elder, and accepted of face, he [is] the head, Prophet, teacher of falsehood, he [is] the tail.

BNV : যে সব নেতারা লোকদের ভুলপথে নিয়ে যাচ্ছে তাদের ও তাদের অনুসরণকারীদের ধ্বংস করা হবে|
KJV : For the leaders of this people cause [them] to err; and [they that are] led of them [are] destroyed.
YLT : And the eulogists of this people are causing to err, And its eulogised ones are consumed.
RV : For they that lead this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
RSV : for those who lead this people lead them astray, and those who are led by them are swallowed up.
ASV : For they that lead this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
ESV : for those who guide this people have been leading them astray, and those who are guided by them are swallowed up.
ERVEN : Their guides are leading them the wrong way, so those who follow them will be destroyed.

BNV : এসব লোকগুলো দুষ্ট| প্রভু তরুণদের নিয়ে খুশী নন| তিনি তাদের বিধ্বা পত্নী ও অনাথ ছেলেমেয়েদের ওপর করুণা করবেন না| কারণ লোকরা দুষ্ট এবং এমন কাজ করে যা ঈশ্বর বিরুদ্ধ| তারা মিথ্যা কথা বলে| তাই ঈশ্বর এদের ওপর রুদ্ধ থাকবেন এবং এদের শাস্তি চলতেই থাকবে|
KJV : Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand [is] stretched out still.
YLT : Therefore, over its young men the Lord rejoiceth not, And its orphans, and its widows He pitieth not, For every one [is] profane, and an evil doer, And every mouth is speaking folly. With all this not turned back hath His anger, And still His hand is stretched out.

ERVEN : All of them are evil. So the Lord is not happy with the young men, and he will not show mercy to their widows and orphans. That is because they are evil hypocrites; they tell lies. But even after all that, the Lord is still angry. His arm is still raised and ready to punish them.

BNV : দুষ্ট বস্তু হল ছোট্ট আগুনের মতো| প্রথমে এই আগুন আগাছা এবং কাঁটাঝোপকে গ্রাস করে| তারপর সেই আগুন বনের আর বড় ঝোপঝাড়কে ভস্মীভূত করে| অবশেষে এটা প্রকাণ্ড আগুনের আকার ধারণ করে সব কিছুকে গ্রাস করে ফেলে|

BNV : প্রভু সর্বশক্তিমান খুবই রুদ্ধ হয়েছেন| তাই গোটা দেশ পুড়ে ছারখার হবে| সেই আগুনে সমস্ত লোক দ3 হবে| কোন ব্যক্তি অন্য কোন ব্যক্তিকে সমবেদনা জানাবে না, এমন কি নিজের ভাইকেও নয়|
KJV : Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother.

BNV : খিদের জ্বালায় লোকরা ডান দিক থেকে কিছু খাবার ছিনিয়ে নেবে, কিন্তু তবু তারা ক্ষুধার্ত থেকে যাবে| তারা বাঁদিক থেকে কিছু খাবার ছিনিয়ে নেবে, কিন্তু তবু তাদের পেট ভরবে না| তারপর প্রত্যেকটি লোক তাদের নিজেদের দেহের মাংস খেতে থাকবে|
KJV : And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm:

ERVEN : People looked to the right and grabbed whatever they could, but they were still hungry. They grabbed whatever was on their left, but still they were not satisfied. So they turned on themselves and began to eat the bodies of their own children.

BNV : এর অর্থ হল মনঃশি ইফ্রযিমকে ও ইফ্রযিম মনঃশিকে এবং তারপর উভয়ে এক সঙ্গে যিহূদাকে আক্রমণ করবে|তবুও ইস্রায়েলের বিরুদ্ধে প্রভুর রোধ মিটবে না| তিনি সেখানকার লোকদের শাস্তি দেওয়ার জন্য তখনও প্রস্তুত থাকবেন|
KJV : Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: [and] they together [shall be] against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand [is] stretched out still.
YLT : Manasseh -- Ephraim, and Ephraim -- Manasseh, Together they [are] against Judah, With all this not turned back hath His anger. And still His hand is stretched out!

ERVEN : Manasseh fought against Ephraim, and Ephraim fought against Manasseh. Then both of them turned on Judah. But even after all that, the Lord is still angry. His arm is still raised and ready to punish them.
