BNV : আহস ছিলেন য়োথমের পুত্র| য়োথম ছিলেন ঊষিযের পুত্র| রত্‌সীন ছিলেন অরামের রাজা|আহসের রাজত্ব কালে সিরিযার রাজা রত্‌সীন এবং ইস্রায়েলের রাজা, রমলিযের পুত্র পেকহ জেরুশালেমের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করার জন্য এসেছিলেন| কিন্তু তাঁরা এর বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করতে পারেন নি|
KJV : And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, [that] Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.
YLT : And it cometh to pass in the days of Ahaz, son of Jotham, son of Uzziah, king of Judah, gone up hath Rezin king of Aram, and Pekah, son of Remaliah, king of Israel, to Jerusalem, to battle against it, and he is not able to fight against it.
RV : And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to war against it; but could not prevail against it.
RSV : In the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, son of Uzziah, king of Judah, Rezin the king of Syria and Pekah the son of Remaliah the king of Israel came up to Jerusalem to wage war against it, but they could not conquer it.
ASV : And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.
ESV : In the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, son of Uzziah, king of Judah, Rezin the king of Syria and Pekah the son of Remaliah the king of Israel came up to Jerusalem to wage war against it, but could not yet mount an attack against it.
ERVEN : Ahaz was the son of Jotham. Jotham was the son of Uzziah. Rezin was the king of Aram, Pekah son of Remaliah was the king of Israel. When Ahaz was king of Judah, Rezin and Pekah went up to Jerusalem to attack it, but they were not able to defeat the city.

BNV : যিহূদার রাজবাড়ি দাযূদের পরিবারকে জানানো হল যে, “অরাম এবং ইফ্রযিমের (ইস্রায়েলের) সেনাদল জোটবদ্ধ হয়েছে| তারা একসঙ্গে ঘাঁটি গেড়েছে|”এই খবর শুনে রাজা আহস এবং তাঁর প্রজারা খুব ভয় পেয়ে গেলো| বনের গাছপালা যেমন বাতাসে নড়ে তেমনি তারাও ভয়ে কাঁপতে লাগল|
KJV : And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind.
YLT : And it is declared to the house of David, saying, `Aram hath been led towards Ephraim,` And his heart and the heart of his people is moved, like the moving of trees of a forest by the presence of wind.
RV : And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the forest are moved with the wind.
RSV : When the house of David was told, "Syria is in league with Ephraim," his heart and the heart of his people shook as the trees of the forest shake before the wind.
ASV : And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart trembled, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the forest tremble with the wind.
ESV : When the house of David was told, "Syria is in league with Ephraim," the heart of Ahaz and the heart of his people shook as the trees of the forest shake before the wind.
ERVEN : The family of David received a message that said, "The armies of Aram and Ephraim have joined together in one camp." When King Ahaz heard this message, he and the people became frightened. They shook with fear like trees of the forest blowing in the wind.

BNV : তখন প্রভু যিশাইয়কে বললেন, “তুমি এবং তোমার পুত্র শার-যাশূব যাবে এবং আহসের সঙ্গে কথা বলবার জন্য ধোপাদের মাঠের রাস্তার পাশে যেখানে জল উচ্চতর জলাশযের মধ্যে দিয়ে বইছে, সেখানে দেখা করবে|
KJV : Then said the LORD unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shear-jashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller’s field;
YLT : And Jehovah saith unto Isaiah, `Go forth, I pray thee, to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shear-Jashub thy son, unto the end of the conduit of the upper pool, unto the highway of the fuller`s field,
RV : Then said the LORD unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shear-jashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool, in the highway of the fuller-s field;
RSV : And the LORD said to Isaiah, "Go forth to meet Ahaz, you and Shearjashub your son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool on the highway to the Fuller's Field,
ASV : Then said Jehovah unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shear-jashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool, in the highway of the fullers field;
ESV : And the LORD said to Isaiah, "Go out to meet Ahaz, you and Shear-jashub your son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool on the highway to the Washer's Field.
ERVEN : Then the Lord told Isaiah, "You and your son Shear Jashub should go out and talk to Ahaz. Go to the place where the water flows into the Upper Pool, on the street that leads up to Laundryman's Field.

BNV : “আহসকে বল, ‘সাবধানে থেকো, কিন্তু শান্ত থেকো! রত্‌সীন ও রমলিযের পুত্রকে ভয় পেযো না, কারণ তারা দুটি পোড়া কাঠির মত| অতীতে তারা খুব গরম ছিল| কিন্তু এখন তারা শুধুই ধোঁযা| রত্‌সীন, অরাম এবং রমলিযের পুক্র রুদ্ধ হয়ে রয়েছে|
KJV : And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.
YLT : and thou hast said unto him: `Take heed, and be quiet, fear not, And let not thy heart be timid, Because of these two tails of smoking brands, For the fierceness of the anger of Rezin and Aram, And the son of Remaliah.
RV : and say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither let thine heart be faint, because of these two tails of smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.
RSV : and say to him, `Take heed, be quiet, do not fear, and do not let your heart be faint because of these two smoldering stumps of firebrands, at the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria and the son of Remaliah.
ASV : and say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither let thy heart be faint, because of these two tails of smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.
ESV : And say to him, 'Be careful, be quiet, do not fear, and do not let your heart be faint because of these two smoldering stumps of firebrands, at the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria and the son of Remaliah.
ERVEN : "Tell Ahaz, 'Be careful, but be calm. Don't be afraid. Don't let those two men, Rezin and Remaliah's son, frighten you! They are like two burning sticks. They might be hot now, but soon they will be nothing but smoke. Rezin, Aram, and Remaliah's son became angry

BNV : বছর পরে সেটি আর একটি দেশ থাকবে না|
KJV : Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against thee, saying,
YLT : Because that Aram counselled against thee evil, Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, saying:
RV : Because Syria hath counselled evil against thee, Ephraim {cf15i also}, and the son of Remaliah, saying,
RSV : Because Syria, with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, has devised evil against you, saying,
ASV : Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have purposed evil against thee, saying,
ESV : Because Syria, with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, has devised evil against you, saying,
ERVEN : and made plans against you. They said,

KJV : Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set a king in the midst of it, [even] the son of Tabeal:
YLT : We go up into Judah, and we vex it, And we rend it unto ourselves, And we cause a king to reign in its midst -- The son of Tabeal.
RV : Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set up a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeel:
RSV : "Let us go up against Judah and terrify it, and let us conquer it for ourselves, and set up the son of Tabeel as king in the midst of it,"

ERVEN : "Let's go fight against Judah and divide it among ourselves. Then we will make Tabeel's son the new king of Judah."'"

BNV : প্রভু আমার গুরু বললেন, “কিন্তু তাদের পরিকল্পনা সফল হবে না|
KJV : Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.
YLT : Thus said the Lord Jehovah: It doth not stand, nor shall it be!

BNV : রত্‌সীন যতদিন দম্মেশকের শাসক থাকবে, ততদিন তাদের অভিসন্ধি খাটবে না| এখন ইফ্রযিম(ইস্রায়েল) একটি দেশ, কিন্তু ভবিষ্যতে আজ থেকে
KJV : For the head of Syria [is] Damascus, and the head of Damascus [is] Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it be not a people.
YLT : For the head of Aram [is] Damascus, And the head of Damascus [is] Rezin, And within sixty and five years Is Ephraim broken from [being] a people.
RV : For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin: and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken in pieces, that it be not a people:
RSV : For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin. (Within sixty-five years Ephraim will be broken to pieces so that it will no longer be a people.)
ASV : For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken in pieces, so that is shall not be a people:
ESV : For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin. (Within sixty-five years Ephraim will be broken to pieces so that it will no longer be a people.)
ERVEN : Damascus is the capital of Aram, and Rezin is the ruler of Damascus for now.

BNV : যতদিন শমরিয়া ইফ্রযিমের (ইস্রায়েল) রাজধানী থাকবে এবং যতদিন রমলিযের পুত্র শমরিয়ার শাসক থাকবে ততদিন তাদের ফন্দি সফল হবে না| তুমি যদি একথা বিশ্বাস না কর তাহলে লোকরা তোমাকে বিশ্বাস করবে না|”
KJV : And the head of Ephraim [is] Samaria, and the head of Samaria [is] Remaliah’s son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.
YLT : And the head of Ephraim [is] Samaria, And the head of Samaria [is] the son of Remaliah. If ye do not give credence, Surely ye are not stedfast.`
RV : and the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah-s son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.
RSV : And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is the son of Remaliah. If you will not believe, surely you shall not be established.'"
ASV : and the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliahs son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.
ESV : "'And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is the son of Remaliah. If you are not firm in faith, you will not be firm at all.'"
ERVEN : Samaria is the capital of Ephraim, and Remaliah's son is the ruler of Samaria for now. But their plan will not happen. If you don't believe this, you will not survive."

BNV : তারপর প্রভু যিহূদার রাজা আহসকে আরও বললেন,
KJV : Moreover the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying,
YLT : And Jehovah addeth to speak unto Ahaz, saying:

BNV : “প্রভু, তোমার ঈশ্বরের কাছ থেকে একটি সংকেত চিহ্ন চেয়ে নাও যাতে তুমি নিজের কাছে প্রমাণ করতে পারো যে এগুলি সব সত্য| তুমি তোমার ইচ্ছেমতো যে কোন সংকেত চিহ্ন চাইতে পারো| চিহ্নটি মৃতের আলযের মতো গভীর থেকে অথবা আকাশের মত উঁচু থেকে আসতে পারে|”
KJV : Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.
YLT : `Ask for thee a sign from Jehovah thy God, Make deep the request, or make [it] high upwards.`
RV : Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.
RSV : "Ask a sign of the LORD your God; let it be deep as Sheol or high as heaven."

ERVEN : and said, "Ask for a sign from the Lord your God to prove to yourself that this is true. You can ask for any sign you want. The sign can come from a place as deep as Sheol or as high as the skies. "

BNV : কিন্তু আহস বললেন, “আমি প্রমাণ স্বরূপ কোন নিদর্শন চাই না| আমি প্রভুকে পরীক্ষাও করতে চাই না|”
KJV : But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.
YLT : And Ahaz saith, `I do not ask nor try Jehovah.`
RV : But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.
RSV : But Ahaz said, "I will not ask, and I will not put the LORD to the test."
ASV : But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt Jehovah.

ERVEN : But Ahaz said, "I will not ask for a sign as proof. I will not test the Lord."

BNV : যিশাইয় বললেন, “দাযূদের পুত্র, আহস মন দিয়ে শোন| লোকের ধৈর্য়্য়ের পরীক্ষা কি তোমাদের কাছে যথেষ্ট নয়? তোমরা কি আমার ঈশ্বরেরও ধৈর্য়্য়ের পরীক্ষা নিতে চাও?
KJV : And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; [Is it] a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?
YLT : And he saith, `Hear, I pray you, O house of David, Is it a little thing for you to weary men, That ye weary also my God?
RV : And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; is it a small thing for you to weary men, that ye will weary my God also?
RSV : And he said, "Hear then, O house of David! Is it too little for you to weary men, that you weary my God also?
ASV : And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David: Is it a small thing for you to weary men, that ye will weary my God also?
ESV : And he said, "Hear then, O house of David! Is it too little for you to weary men, that you weary my God also?
ERVEN : Then Isaiah said, "Family of David, listen very carefully! Is it not enough that you would test the patience of humans? Will you now test the patience of my God?

BNV : ঈশ্বর আমার প্রভু, তোমাদের একটা চিহ্ন দেখাবেন:ঐ যুবতী মহিলাটি গর্ভবতী হবে এবং দেখ সে একটি পুত্র সন্তানের জন্ম দেবে| তার নাম রাখা হবে ইম্মানূযেল|
KJV : Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
YLT : Therefore the Lord Himself giveth to you a sign, Lo, the Virgin is conceiving, And is bringing forth a son, And hath called his name Immanuel,

BNV : যতদিন না পর্য়ন্ত ইম্মানূযেল খারাপ কাজ প্রত্যাখান করে ভালো কাজ বেছে নিতে শিখবে ততদিন পর্য়ন্ত সে দই ও মধু খাবে|
KJV : Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.
YLT : Butter and honey he doth eat, When he knoweth to refuse evil, and to fix on good.

BNV : কিন্তু ছেলেটি ভালো কাজ করবার মত এবং মন্দ কাজ প্রত্যাখান করবার মতো বোঝবার বযসে এসে পৌঁছবার আগেই ইফ্রযিম এবং অরাম দেশ জনমানব বর্জিত হয়ে যাবে|“তোমরা এখন ঐ দুজন রাজার ভয়ে ভীত|
KJV : For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.
YLT : For before the youth doth know To refuse evil, and to fix on good, Forsaken is the land thou art vexed with, because of her two kings.
RV : For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land whose two kings thou abhorrest shall be forsaken.
RSV : For before the child knows how to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land before whose two kings you are in dread will be deserted.

ERVEN : But before he is old enough to make that choice, the land of the two kings you fear will be empty.

BNV : কিন্তু তোমাদের আসলে প্রভুকে ভয় পাওয়া উচিত্‌| কারণ তিনি তোমাদের জন্য দুঃসময় আনবেন| এই দুঃসময় তোমার কাছে, তোমার লোকদের কাছে এবং তোমার পিতৃকুলেও আসবে| ঈশ্বর কি করবেন? তোমাদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করার জন্য তিনি অশূরের রাজাকে আমন্ত্রণ জানাবেন|
KJV : The LORD shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father’s house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; [even] the king of Assyria.
YLT : Jehovah bringeth on thee, and on thy people, And on the house of thy father, Days that have not come, Even from the day of the turning aside of Ephraim from Judah, By the king of Asshur.
RV : The LORD shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father-s house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; {cf15i even} the king of Assyria.
RSV : The LORD will bring upon you and upon your people and upon your father's house such days as have not come since the day that Ephraim departed from Judah -- the king of Assyria."
ASV : Jehovah will bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy fathers house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah-even the king of Assyria.
ESV : The LORD will bring upon you and upon your people and upon your father's house such days as have not come since the day that Ephraim departed from Judah- the king of Assyria."
ERVEN : "But the Lord will bring troubled times to you. These troubles will be worse than anything that has happened since the time Israel separated from Judah. This will happen to your people and to your father's family when God brings the king of Assyria to fight against you.

BNV : “সে সময় প্রভু ‘মাছি’ (এখন ‘মাছিটি’ মিশরের নদীর কাছে আছে|) এবং ‘মৌমাছিকে’ (‘মৌমাছিটি’ এখন অশূর দেশে আছে|) ডাক দেবেন| তারা তোমার দেশে এসে পৌঁছবে|
KJV : And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the LORD shall hiss for the fly that [is] in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that [is] in the land of Assyria.
YLT : And it hath come to pass, in that day, Jehovah doth hiss for a fly that [is] in the extremity of the brooks of Egypt, And for a bee that [is] in the land of Asshur.
RV : And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.
RSV : In that day the LORD will whistle for the fly which is at the sources of the streams of Egypt, and for the bee which is in the land of Assyria.
ASV : And it shall come to pass in that day, that Jehovah will hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.
ESV : In that day the LORD will whistle for the fly that is at the end of the streams of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.
ERVEN : "At that time the Lord will call for the 'Fly' that is now near the streams of Egypt, and he will call for the 'Bee' that is now in the country of Assyria. Those enemies will come to your country.

BNV : তারা মরুভূমির জলস্রোতের পাশে, পাথুরে গভীর খাদে, ঝোপঝাড়ে এবং জলময় গর্তের কাছে চাক বাঁধবে|
KJV : And they shall come, and shall rest all of them in the desolate valleys, and in the holes of the rocks, and upon all thorns, and upon all bushes.
YLT : And they have come, and rested all of them in the desolate valleys, And in holes of the rocks, and on all the thorns, And on all the commendable things.

ERVEN : They will settle in the deep valleys and in the caves, by the thornbushes and watering holes.

BNV : প্রভু যিহূদাকে শাস্তি দেবার জন্য অশূরকে ব্যবহার করবেন| প্রভু অশূরকে ভাড়া করবেন এবং সেটিকে একটি খুরের মতো ব্যবহার করা হবে| মনে হবে যেন প্রভু যিহূদার পা, মাথা এমনকি দাড়ি থেকেও চুল কামিয়ে নিচ্ছেন|
KJV : In the same day shall the Lord shave with a razor that is hired, [namely,] by them beyond the river, by the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the feet: and it shall also consume the beard.
YLT : In that day doth the Lord shave, By a razor that is hired beyond the river, By the king of Asshur, The head, and the hair of the feet, Yea, also the beard it consumeth.
RV : In that day shall the Lord shave with a razor that is hired, {cf15i which is} in the parts beyond the River, {cf15i even} with the king of Assyria, the head and the hair of the feet: and it shall also consume the beard.
RSV : In that day the Lord will shave with a razor which is hired beyond the River -- with the king of Assyria -- the head and the hair of the feet, and it will sweep away the beard also.
ASV : In that day will the Lord shave with a razor that is hired in the parts beyond the River, even with the king of Assyria, the head and the hair of the feet; and it shall also consume the beard.
ESV : In that day the Lord will shave with a razor that is hired beyond the River- with the king of Assyria- the head and the hair of the feet, and it will sweep away the beard also.
ERVEN : The Lord will use Assyria to punish Judah. Assyria will be hired and used like a razor to shave off Judah's beard and to remove the hair from his head and body.

BNV : “এই সময় একজন লোক একটি যুবতী গাভী ও দুটি মেষকে বাঁচিয়ে রাখতে পারবে|
KJV : And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] a man shall nourish a young cow, and two sheep;

BNV : এরা সেই লোকটিকে যে দুধ দেবে তা মাখন খাওয়ার পক্ষে যথেষ্ট হবে| দেশে যারা রয়ে গেছে তারা দই এবং মধু খাবে|
KJV : And it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk [that] they shall give he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the land.

YLT : And it hath come to pass, in that day, Every place where there are a thousand vines, At a thousand silverlings, Is for briers and for thorns.

YLT : And all the hills that with a mattock are kept in order, Thither cometh not the fear of brier and thorn, And it hath been for the sending forth of ox, And for the treading of sheep!`
RV : And all the hills that were digged with the mattock; thou shalt not come thither for fear of briers and thorns, but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the treading of sheep.
