BNV : আমি যা বলছি তা অনুধাবন কর| যিহূদা এবং জেরুশালেম যে সমস্ত জিনিসের ওপর নির্ভরশীল, গুরু, প্রভু সর্বশক্তিমান সে সব জিনিসগুলির অবলুপ্তি ঘটাবেন| ঈশ্বর সমস্ত জল ও খাবার সরিয়ে নেবেন|
KJV : For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,
YLT : For, lo, the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, Is turning aside from Jerusalem, And from Judah, stay and staff, Every stay of bread, and every stay of water.
RV : For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah stay and staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water;
RSV : For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, is taking away from Jerusalem and from Judah stay and staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water;

ESV : For behold, the Lord GOD of hosts is taking away from Jerusalem and from Judah support and supply, all support of bread, and all support of water;
ERVEN : Understand what I am telling you: The Lord God All-Powerful will take away everything Judah and Jerusalem depend on. He will take away all the food and water.

BNV : ঈশ্বর সকল বীর ও মহান যোদ্ধা, সকল বিচারক, ভাব্বাদী,
KJV : The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,
YLT : Hero and man of war, judge and prophet, And diviner and elder,

ERVEN : He will take away all the heroes and soldiers. He will take away all the judges, the prophets, the fortunetellers, and the elders.

BNV : যাদুকরগণ, প্রবীণগণ, সামরিক নেতাসমূহ, সরকারি প্রধানগণ, দক্ষ উপদেষ্টাগণ, দক্ষ কারিগর এবং যারা তাবিজ ব্যবহার করতে জানে তাদের সবাইকে সরিয়ে দেবেন|
KJV : The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.
YLT : Head of fifty, and accepted of faces, And counsellor, and the wise of artificers, And the intelligent of charmers.
RV : the captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the skilful enchanter.
RSV : the captain of fifty and the man of rank, the counselor and the skilful magician and the expert in charms.

ERVEN : He will take away the army officers and important officials. He will take away the skilled counselors, the magicians, and those who try to tell the future.

BNV : ঈশ্বর বলেন, “আমি বালকগণকে তোমাদের নেতা করব|
KJV : And I will give children [to be] their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
YLT : And I have made youths their heads, And sucklings rule over them.
RV : And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
RSV : And I will make boys their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
ASV : And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
ESV : And I will make boys their princes, and infants shall rule over them.
ERVEN : The Lord says, "I will put young boys in charge of you. They will be your leaders.

BNV : প্রত্যেক লোক একে অপরের বিরুদ্ধাচরণ করবে| ছোটরা বড়দের শ্রদ্ধা করবে না| গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ব্যক্তিরা সাধারণ লোকদের কাছ থেকে সম্মান পাবে না|”
KJV : And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.
YLT : And the people hath exacted -- man upon man, Even a man on his neighbour, Enlarge themselves do the youths against the aged, And the lightly esteemed against the honoured.

ERVEN : The people will turn against each other. Young people will not respect those who are older. The common people will not respect important leaders."

BNV : সেই সময় কেউ এক জন তারই পরিবারভুক্ত ভাইযের হাত ধরে বলবে, “তোমার কোটবস্ত্র আছে, তাই তুমি আমাদের নেতা হবে| এই সব বিনাশ তোমার আযত্ত্বে থাকবে|”
KJV : When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, [saying,] Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and [let] this ruin [be] under thy hand:
YLT : When one layeth hold on his brother, [Of] the house of his father, [by] the garment, `Come, a ruler thou art to us, And this ruin [is] under thy hand.`

ERVEN : In those days a man will grab one of his brothers from his own family and tell him, "You have a coat, so you will be our leader. You will be the leader over all these ruins."

BNV : কিন্তু সে চিত্কার করে বলবে, “আমি তোমাদের নেতা হব না| কারণ আমার বাড়িতে যথেষ্ট অন্ন-বস্ত্র নেই| তুমি আমাকে দিয়ে লোকদের নেতৃত্ব দেওয়াবে না|”
KJV : In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house [is] neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people.
YLT : He lifteth up, in that day, saying: `I am not a binder up, And in my house is neither bread nor garment, Ye do not make me a ruler of the people.`
RV : in that day shall he lift up {cf15i his voice}, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: ye shall not make me ruler of the people.

BNV : এই সবই ঘটবে কারণ জেরুশালেম হোঁচট খেয়েছে এবং যিহূদার পতন হয়েছে| তাদের কাজকর্ম ও কথাবার্তা সবই প্রভুর বিরুদ্ধে যদিও তিনি সবই দেখেন|
KJV : For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings [are] against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory.
YLT : For stumbled hath Jerusalem, and Judah hath fallen, For their tongue and their doings [are] against Jehovah, To provoke the eyes of His glory.

ERVEN : This will happen because Jerusalem has stumbled, and Judah has fallen. They turned against the Lord. They said and did things against him, right in front of his glorious eyes.

BNV : লোকদের মুখই বলে দিচ্ছে যে তারা পাপ কাজের দোষে দুষ্ট| এবং তারা তাদের পাপের জন্য গর্বিত| তারা সদোমের লোকদের মতোই| কে তাদের পাপ দেখছে সেই ব্যাপারে তাদের কোন ভ্রূক্ষেপ নেই| এটা তাদের পক্ষে খুবই ক্ষতিকারক হবে| তারা নিজেদের ভযানক বিপদ নিজেরাই ডেকে আনছে|
KJV : The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide [it] not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.
YLT : The appearance of their faces witnessed against them, And their sin, as Sodom, they declared, They have not hidden! Wo to their soul, For they have done to themselves evil.

ERVEN : The look on their faces shows that they are guilty. They are like the people of Sodom; they don't care who sees their sin. But it will be very bad for them. They will get what they deserve.

BNV : ভালো লোকদের বলে দাও যে তাদের জন্য ভালো কিছু ঘটবে| ভালো কাজের পুরস্কার তারা পাবে|
KJV : Say ye to the righteous, that [it shall be] well [with him:] for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
YLT : Say ye to the righteous, that [it is] good, Because the fruit of their doings they eat.
RV : Say ye of the righteous, that {cf15i it shall be} well {cf15i with him}: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
RSV : Tell the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds.

ERVEN : Tell the people who do what is right that good things will happen to them. They will receive a reward for what they do.

BNV : কিন্তু শযতান লোকদের জন্য কঠিন সময় আসছে| তাদের ভীষণ কষ্ট ও অসুবিধার সম্মুখীন হতে হবে| সমস্ত কুকর্মের শাস্তি তাদের পেতেই হবে|
KJV : Woe unto the wicked! [it shall be] ill [with him:] for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
YLT : Wo to the wicked -- evil, Because the deed of his hand is done to him.
RV : Woe unto the wicked! {cf15i it shall be} ill {cf15i with him}: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.
RSV : Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, for what his hands have done shall be done to him.
ASV : Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him; for what his hands have done shall be done unto him.

ERVEN : But it will be very bad for wicked people, because they, too, will get what they deserve. They will get what they did to others.

BNV : বালকরা আমার লোকদের হারিযে দেবে| মেয়েরা তাদের শাসন করবে| তাদের ওপর কর্তৃত্ব করবে| আমার লোকরা, তোমাদের পথ প্রদর্শকরাই তোমাদের ভুল পথে চালিত করছে| তারা তোমাদের সঠিক পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত করছে|
KJV : [As for] my people, children [are] their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause [thee] to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
YLT : My people -- its exactors [are] sucklings, And women have ruled over it. My people -- thy eulogists are causing to err, And the way of thy paths swallowed up.
RV : As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

BNV : প্রভু লোকদের বিচার করবার জন্য উত্থান করবেন|
KJV : The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people.
YLT : Jehovah hath stood up to plead, And He is standing to judge the peoples.

BNV : নেতা এবং প্রাচীনদের কৃতকর্মের বিরুদ্ধে তিনি তাঁর মতামত দেবেন|প্রভু বলেন, “হে আমার লোকরা, তোমরা দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেত (যিহূদা) পুড়িয়ে ছারখার করে দিয়েছ| তোমরা গরীব মানুষদের কাছ থেকে জিনিসপত্র কেড়ে নিয়েছ| এবং সেই সব জিনিসপত্র এখনও তোমাদের বাড়িতেই আছে|
KJV : The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor [is] in your houses.
YLT : Jehovah into judgment doth enter With elders of His people, and its heads: `And ye, ye have consumed the vineyard, Plunder of the poor [is] in your houses.

ERVEN : The Lord is ready to present his case against the elders and leaders of his people. The Lord says, "You people have burned the vineyard, and what you stole from the poor is still in your houses.

BNV : আমার লোকদের আঘাত করার অধিকার কে তোমাদের দিয়েছে? গরীব, হতদরিদ্র মানুষদের নোংরা-আবর্জনার মধ্যে ঠেলে দেওয়ার অধিকার কে তোমাদের দিয়েছে?” আমার গুরু, প্রভু সর্বশক্তিমান এই কথাগুলি বললেন|
KJV : What mean ye [that] ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor? saith the LORD GOD of hosts.
YLT : What -- to you? ye bruise My people, And the faces of the poor ye grind.` An affirmation of the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, And Jehovah saith:
RV : what mean ye that ye crush my people, and grind the face of the poor? saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.
RSV : What do you mean by crushing my people, by grinding the face of the poor?" says the Lord GOD of hosts.

ERVEN : What gives you the right to hurt my people? What gives you the right to push the faces of the poor into the dirt?" The Lord God All- Powerful said this.

BNV : প্রভু আরও বললেন, “সিয়োনের মেয়েরা খুবই অহঙ্কারী হয়ে উঠেছে| তারা মাথা হেলিযে দুলিযে য়ত্রতত্র এমন ভাবে ঘুরে বেড়ায যেন তারা অন্য লোকদের চেয়ে যথেষ্ট ভাল| এই সব মেয়েরা হাসি-মস্করা, ছেনালিগিরি করে ঘুরে বেড়ায| এবং তারা পায়ে নূপুরের রুনুঝুনু শব্দ করে, নেচে নেচে দিকবিদিক ঘুরে বেড়ায|”
KJV : Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing [as] they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:
YLT : `Because that daughters of Zion have been haughty, And they walk stretching out the neck, And deceiving [with] the eyes, Walking and mincing they go, And with their feet they make a tinkling,

ERVEN : The Lord says, "The women in Zion have become very proud. They walk around with their heads in the air, acting like they are better than other people. They flirt with their eyes and make tinkling sounds with their ankle bracelets as they take their quick little steps."

BNV : আমার গুরু সিয়োনের এই ধরণের মেয়েদের মাথায় দগদগে ক্ষতের সৃষ্টি করবেন| ফলে তাদের মাথায় টাক পড়বে|
KJV : Therefore the LORD will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts.
YLT : The Lord also hath scabbed The crown of the head of daughters of Zion, And Jehovah their simplicity exposeth.

BNV : সেই সময় তিনি তাদের গর্বের সমস্ত সম্পদ নিয়ে নেবেন| তাদের পায়ের নূপুর, তাদের সূর্য় ও চাঁদের আকারের গলার হার,
KJV : In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of [their] tinkling ornaments [about their feet,] and [their] cauls, and [their] round tires like the moon,
YLT : In that day doth the Lord turn aside The beauty of the tinkling ornaments, And of the embroidered works, And of the round tires like moons,
RV : In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their anklets, and the cauls, and the crescents;
RSV : In that day the Lord will take away the finery of the anklets, the headbands, and the crescents;

BNV : ঝুমকো পাশা, চুড়ি, ঘোমটা, ললাটভূষণ, পায়ের মল,
KJV : The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,
YLT : Of the drops, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,

KJV : The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins,

BNV : এবং সুগন্ধির পরিবর্তে তাদের কাছে থাকবে দুর্গন্ধ তেল, কোমরবন্ধনীর বদলে থাকবে একটি ছেঁড়া পোশাক, সুবিন্যস্ত কেশ পরিচর্য়্য়ার বদলে থাকবে মাথাজোড়া টাক, কেতাদুরস্ত কোমরবন্ধনীর পরিবর্তে থাকবে চটের তৈরী কোরমবন্ধনী কারণ সুন্দরী হওয়ার পরিবর্তে তারা হবে কুত্‌সিত দর্শন|
KJV : And it shall come to pass, [that] instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; [and] burning instead of beauty.
YLT : And it hath been, instead of spice is muck, And instead of a girdle, a rope, And instead of curled work, baldness, And instead of a stomacher a girdle of sackcloth.

ERVEN : Those women now have sweet-smelling perfume, but it will get moldy and stink. Now they wear belts, but then they will have only ropes to wear. Now they have their hair fixed in fancy ways, but then their heads will be shaved—they will have no hair. Now they have party dresses, but then they will have only mourning clothes. They have beauty marks on their faces now, but then they will have another mark. It will be a mark burned into their skin to show that they are slaves.
