BNV : শমরিয়ার দিকে তাকাও! ইফ্রযিমের মাতাল মানুষ সেই শহরের জন্য গর্বিত, যে শহর উর্বর উপত্যকা বেষ্টিত পাহাড়ের ওপর অবস্থিত| শমরিয়ার লোকরা মনে করে তাদের শহর ফুলের সুন্দর মুকুটের মত| কিন্তু তারা দ্রাক্ষারস পান করে মাতাল হয়ে রয়েছে| এবং এই “সুন্দর মুকুট” আসলে একটি মৃতপ্রায গাছের মতো|
KJV : Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which [are] on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
YLT : Wo [to] the proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim. And the fading flower of the beauty of his glory, That [is] on the head of the fat valley of the broken down of wine.
RV : Woe to the crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim, and to the fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley of them that are overcome with wine!
RSV : Woe to the proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim, and to the fading flower of its glorious beauty, which is on the head of the rich valley of those overcome with wine!
ASV : Woe to the crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim, and to the fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley of them that are overcome with wine!
ESV : Ah, the proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim, and the fading flower of its glorious beauty, which is on the head of the rich valley of those overcome with wine!
ERVEN : Look at Samaria! The drunks of Ephraim are proud of that city. It sits on a hill with a rich valley around it. The Samarians think their city is a beautiful crown of flowers. But they are drunk with wine, and this "beautiful crown" is just a dying plant.

BNV : দেখ, আমার প্রভুর একটি লোক আছে যে শক্তিশালী ও সাহসী| সেই লোকটি শিলাবৃষ্টির ঝড়ের মত দেশের ভেতরে আসবে| তিনি ঝড়ের মতো এদেশে আসবেন| তিনি হবেন বানভাসি দেশে জলে ভরা খরস্রোতা নদীর মতো| তিনি সেই মুকুটকে মাটিতে ছুঁড়ে ফেলে দেবেন|
KJV : Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, [which] as a tempest of hail [and] a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
YLT : Lo, a mighty and strong one [is] to the Lord, As a storm of hail -- a destructive shower, As an inundation of mighty waters overflowing, He cast down to the earth with the hand.
RV : Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one; as a tempest of hail, a destroying storm, as a tempest of mighty waters overflowing, shall he cast down to the earth with the hand.
RSV : Behold, the Lord has one who is mighty and strong; like a storm of hail, a destroying tempest, like a storm of mighty, overflowing waters, he will cast down to the earth with violence.
ASV : Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one; as a tempest of hail, a destroying storm, as a tempest of mighty waters overflowing, will he cast down to the earth with the hand.
ESV : Behold, the Lord has one who is mighty and strong; like a storm of hail, a destroying tempest, like a storm of mighty, overflowing waters, he casts down to the earth with his hand.
ERVEN : Look, the Lord has someone who is strong and brave. He will come into the country like a storm of hail and rain. Like a powerful river of water flooding the country, he will throw that crown down to the ground.

BNV : ইফ্রযিমের মাতাল মানুষরা তাদের “সুন্দর মুকুটের” জন্য গর্বিত| কিন্তু তাদের শহর পদদলিত হবে|
KJV : The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet:
YLT : By feet trodden down is the proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim,
RV : The crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim shall be trodden under foot:
RSV : The proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim will be trodden under foot;
ASV : The crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim shall be trodden under foot:
ESV : The proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim will be trodden underfoot;
ERVEN : The drunks of Ephraim are proud of their beautiful crown, but that city will be trampled down.

BNV : সেই শহর উর্বর উপত্যকা বেষ্টিত পাহাড়ের ওপর অবস্থিত| এবং সেই “ফুলের সুন্দর মুকুট” হবে ঠিক মৃতপ্রায গাছের মতো| সেই শহর হবে গরমের প্রথম ডুমুর ফলের মতো, যাকে লোকে একপলক দেখেই দ্রুত তুলে নিয়ে খেয়ে নেয|
KJV : And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, [and] as the hasty fruit before the summer; which [when] he that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.
YLT : And the fading flower of the beauty of his glory That [is] on the head of the fat valley, Hath been as its first-fruit before summer, That its beholder seeth, While it [is] yet in his hand he swalloweth it.
RV : and the fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be as the firstripe fig before the summer; which when he that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.
RSV : and the fading flower of its glorious beauty, which is on the head of the rich valley, will be like a first-ripe fig before the summer: when a man sees it, he eats it up as soon as it is in his hand.
ASV : and the fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be as the first-ripe fig before the summer; which when he that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.
ESV : and the fading flower of its glorious beauty, which is on the head of the rich valley, will be like a first-ripe fig before the summer: when someone sees it, he swallows it as soon as it is in his hand.
ERVEN : That city sits on a hill with a rich valley around it. But that beautiful crown of flowers is just a dying plant. It will be like the first figs of summer. As soon as someone sees a ripe one, they pick it and eat it.

BNV : সেই সময় সর্বশক্তিমান প্রভু ই হবেন “সুন্দর মুকুট|” তাঁর অবশিষ্ট লোকদের জন্য, তিনি হবেন “ফুলের আশ্চর্য় মুকুট|”
KJV : In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,
YLT : In that day is Jehovah of Hosts For a crown of beauty, and for a diadem of glory, To the remnant of His people.
RV : In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people:

ERVEN : At that time the Lord All-Powerful will become the "Beautiful Crown." He will be the "Wonderful Crown of Flowers" for his people who are left.

BNV : তখন প্রভু তাঁর লোকদের বিচারকগণকে প্রজ্ঞা দান করবেন| নগরদ্বারে তিনি শক্তি য়োগাবেন|
KJV : And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.
YLT : And for a spirit of judgment To him who is sitting in the judgment, And for might [to] those turning back the battle to the gate.

ERVEN : Then the Lord will give wisdom to the judges who rule his people. He will give strength to the people who are in battles at the city gates.

BNV : কিন্তু এখন সেই সব নেতারা পান করে ভুল করেন| যাজক ও ভাব্বাদীরাও ভুলভ্রান্তি করেন কারণ তাঁরা অনুগ্র সুরা ও দ্রাক্ষারস পান করেন| তাঁরা হোঁচট খেতে খেতে পড়ে যাচ্ছেন| এমনকি দর্শনের সময়েও ভাব্বাদীদের ভুলভ্রান্তি হয়| বিচারকরাও ভুল করেন কারণ তারা সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়ার সময় পান করেন|
KJV : But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble [in] judgment.
YLT : And even these through wine have erred, And through strong drink have wandered, Priest and prophet erred through strong drink, They have been swallowed up of the wine, They wandered because of the strong drink, They have erred in seeing, They have stumbled judicially.

ASV : And even these reel with wine, and stagger with strong drink; the priest and the prophet reel with strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they stagger with strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.
ESV : These also reel with wine and stagger with strong drink; the priest and the prophet reel with strong drink, they are swallowed by wine, they stagger with strong drink, they reel in vision, they stumble in giving judgment.
ERVEN : But now those leaders are drunk. The priests and prophets are all drunk with wine and beer. They stumble and fall down. The prophets are drunk when they see their dreams. The judges are drunk when they make their decisions.

BNV : প্রতিটি টেবিল বমিতে আচ্ছন্ন| কোথাও এতটুকু পরিষ্কার স্থান নেই|
KJV : For all tables are full of vomit [and] filthiness, [so that there is] no place [clean.]
YLT : For all tables have been full of vomit, Filth -- without place!
RV : For all tables are full of vomit {cf15i and} filthiness, {cf15i so that there is} no place {cf15i clean}.
RSV : For all tables are full of vomit, no place is without filthiness.
ASV : For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.

ERVEN : Every table is covered with vomit. There is not a clean place anywhere.

BNV : প্রভু লোকদের একটি শিক্ষা দেবার চেষ্টা করছেন| প্রভু লোকদের তাঁর শিক্ষামালা বোঝানোর চেষ্টা করছেন| লোকেরা যেন ছোট্ট শিশুর মত, সবেমাত্র মায়ের দুধপান করা ছেড়েছে|
KJV : Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? [them that are] weaned from the milk, [and] drawn from the breasts.
YLT : By whom doth He teach knowledge? And by whom doth He cause to understand the report? The weaned from milk, the removed from breasts,
RV : Whom will he teach knowledge? and whom will he make to understand the message? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts?
RSV : "Whom will he teach knowledge, and to whom will he explain the message? Those who are weaned from the milk, those taken from the breast?
ASV : Whom will he teach knowledge? and whom will he make to understand the message? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts?
ESV : "To whom will he teach knowledge, and to whom will he explain the message? Those who are weaned from the milk, those taken from the breast?
ERVEN : {The people say,} "Who does he think he is trying to teach and explain his message to? Does he think we are babies who were at their mother's breast only a very short time ago?

BNV : তাই প্রভু তাদের সঙ্গে এমন ভাবে কথা বলেন যেন তারা শিশু:জাব্ লজাব্, জাব্ লজাব্,কাব্ লকাব্, কাব্ লকাব্,জি’ এর শাম্, জি’ এর শাম্|
KJV : For precept [must be] upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little:
YLT : For rule [is] on rule, rule on rule, line on line, line on line, A little here, a little there,
RV : For it is precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, there a little.
RSV : For it is precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little."

ERVEN : {He speaks to us as though we were babies:} "Saw lasaw saw lasaw Qaw laqaw qaw laqaw Ze'er sham ze'er sham."

BNV : প্রভু আশ্চর্য়্য় এই ভাষা ব্যবহার করবেন এবং এই সব লোকদের সঙ্গে কথা বলার জন্য তিনি অন্যান্য ভাষাও ব্যবহার করবেন|
KJV : For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
YLT : For by scorned lip, and by another tongue, Doth He speak unto this people.
RV : Nay, but by {cf15i men of} strange lips and with another tongue will he speak to this people:
RSV : Nay, but by men of strange lips and with an alien tongue the LORD will speak to this people,
ASV : Nay, but by men of strange lips and with another tongue will he speak to this people;
ESV : For by people of strange lips and with a foreign tongue the LORD will speak to this people,
ERVEN : So the Lord will use this strange way of talking, and he will use other languages to speak to these people.

BNV : অতীতে ঈশ্বর সেই সব লোকদের বলেছিলেন, “এখানে একটি বিশ্রামস্থল আছে| এটা শান্তিপূর্ণ জায়গা| ক্লান্ত মানুষদের এসে বিশ্রাম নিতে দাও| এটি একটি শান্তির নিকেতন|”কিন্তু লোকরা ঈশ্বরের কথায় কর্ণপাত করেনি|
KJV : To whom he said, This [is] the rest [wherewith] ye may cause the weary to rest; and this [is] the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
YLT : Unto whom He hath said, `This [is] the rest, give ye rest to the weary, And this -- the refreshing:` And they have not been willing to hear,
RV : to whom he said, This is the rest, give ye rest to him that is weary; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

ERVEN : In the past, the Lord spoke to them and said, "Here is a resting place. This is the peaceful place. Let the tired people come and rest. This is the place of peace." But the people did not want to listen to him,

BNV : তাই ঈশ্বর তাদের সঙ্গে এমন ভাবে কথা বলেন যেন তারা শিশু:জাব্ লজাব্, জাব্ লজাব্,কাব্ লকাব্, কাব্ লকাব্,জি’ এর শাম্, জি’ এর শাম্|”যাতে তারা চারপাশে হেঁটে বেড়ায এবং হোঁচট খেয়ে আঘাত পাবে এবং তারা ফাঁদে পড়ে বন্দী হবে|
KJV : But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
YLT : And to whom a word of Jehovah hath been, Rule on rule, rule on rule, line on line, line on line, A little here, a little there, So that they go and have stumbled backward, And been broken, and snared, and captured.
RV : Therefore shall the word of the LORD be unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, there a little; that they may go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

ERVEN : so the words from God were like a foreign language: "Saw lasaw saw lasaw. Qaw laqaw qaw laqaw. Ze'er sham ze'er sham." The people did what they wanted to do, so they fell back and were defeated. They were trapped and captured.

BNV : জেরুশালেমের নেতারা, তোমাদের প্রভুর বার্তা শোনা উচিত্‌| কিন্তু এখন তোমরা তাঁর কথায় কান দিচ্ছ না|
KJV : Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which [is] in Jerusalem.
YLT : Therefore, hear a word of Jehovah, ye men of scorning, Ruling this people that [is] in Jerusalem.
RV : Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem:
RSV : Therefore hear the word of the LORD, you scoffers, who rule this people in Jerusalem!
ASV : Wherefore hear the word of Jehovah, ye scoffers, that rule this people that is in Jerusalem:

ERVEN : You leaders in Jerusalem should listen to the Lord's message, but now you refuse to listen to him.

BNV : তোমরা বলছ, “মৃত্যুর সঙ্গে আমাদের চুক্তি হয়েছে| পাতালের সঙ্গে আমাদের চুক্তি হয়েছে| সুতরাং আমরা শাস্তি পাব না| শাস্তি আমাদের আঘাত না করেই চলে যাবে| আমরা আমাদের কৌশল ও মিথ্যার পেছনে লুকিয়ে থাকব|”
KJV : Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
YLT : Because ye have said: `We have made a covenant with death, And with Sheol we have made a provision, An overflowing scourge, when it passeth over, Doth not meet us, Though we have made a lie our refuge, And in falsehood have been hidden.`
RV : Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us; for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:

ASV : Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us; for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
ESV : Because you have said, "We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol we have an agreement, when the overwhelming whip passes through it will not come to us, for we have made lies our refuge, and in falsehood we have taken shelter";
ERVEN : You have said, "We have made an agreement with death. We have a contract with death. So we will not be punished. Punishment will pass us without hurting us. We will hide behind our tricks and lies."

BNV : এই সব কারণেই প্রভু, আমার মনিব বলেন, “সিয়োনের মাটিতে আমি একটি পাথর, একটি ভিত্তি প্রস্তর স্থাপন করব| এটি একটি মূল্যবান পাথর| সেই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পাথরের ওপর সমস্ত কিছু গড়ে উঠবে| সেই পাথরটির কাছে এসে বিশ্বস্ত লোকরা কখনো ভয় পাবে না|”
KJV : Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner [stone,] a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
YLT : Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: `Lo, I am laying a foundation in Zion, A stone -- a tried stone, a corner stone precious, a settled foundation, He who is believing doth not make haste.
RV : therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner {cf15i stone} of sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
RSV : therefore thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I am laying in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: `He who believes will not be in haste.'
ASV : therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner -stone of sure foundation: he that believeth shall not be in haste.
ESV : therefore thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I am the one who has laid as a foundation in Zion, a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: 'Whoever believes will not be in haste.'
ERVEN : Because of these things, the Lord God says, "I will put a rock—a cornerstone—in the ground in Zion. This will be a very precious stone. Everything will be built on this very important rock. Anyone who trusts in that rock will not be disappointed.

BNV : “দেওয়াল সরল কিনা তা জানার জন্য মানুষ এক ওলন দড়ি ব্যবহার করে| ঠিক একই ভাবে কোনটা ঠিক তা দেখানোর জন্য আমি বিচার এবং ধার্ম্মিকতাকে ব্যবহার করব|“তোমরা শযতান মানুষরা যারা মিথ্যা এবং কৌশলের পিছনে লুকোতে চাও তারা শাস্তি পাবে| কোন ঝড় অথবা বন্যা আসছে তোমাদের লুকিয়ে থাকার স্থান ধ্বংস করতে|
KJV : Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
YLT : And I have put judgment for a line, And righteousness for a plummet, And sweep away doth hail the refuge of lies, And the secret hiding-place do waters overflow.
RV : And I will make judgment the line, and righteousness the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
RSV : And I will make justice the line, and righteousness the plummet; and hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and waters will overwhelm the shelter."

ESV : And I will make justice the line, and righteousness the plumb line; and hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and waters will overwhelm the shelter."
ERVEN : "Workers use a string and weight to show their work is straight and true. I will use justice as the string and goodness as the weight when I lay that foundation. But your safe places were built on lies. So they will be destroyed and washed away when the troubles come against you like hail storms and floods.

BNV : মৃত্যুর সঙ্গে তোমাদের চুক্তি মুছে যাবে| মৃত্যুর স্থানের সঙ্গে তোমাদের চুক্তি কোন কাজেই আসবে না|“যখন সেই ভয়ঙ্কর শাস্তি আসবে তখন তোমরা তার দ্বারা পদদলিত হবে|
KJV : And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
YLT : And disannulled hath been your covenant with death, And your provision with Sheol doth not stand, An overflowing scourge, when it passeth over, Then ye have been to it for a treading-place.
RV : And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
RSV : Then your covenant with death will be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol will not stand; when the overwhelming scourge passes through you will be beaten down by it.
ASV : And your covenant with death shall be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
ESV : Then your covenant with death will be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol will not stand; when the overwhelming scourge passes through, you will be beaten down by it.
ERVEN : Your agreement with death will be erased. Your contract with Sheol will not help you. "Someone will come and punish you. He will make you like the dirt he walks on.

ERVEN : A farmer prepares the ground, and then he plants the seed. He plants different kinds of seeds different ways. He scatters dill seeds, he throws cumin seeds on the ground, and he plants wheat in rows. A farmer plants barley in its special place, and he plants spelt seeds at the edge of his field.

BNV : আমাদের ঈশ্বর তোমাদের শিক্ষা দেবার জন্য এই পদ্ধতি ব্যবহার করছেন| এই উদাহরণ দেখায় যে মানুষকে শাস্তি দেবার সময় ঈশ্বর সঠিক উপায়েই শাস্তি দেবেন|

BNV : যখন কেউ রুটি তৈরী করবার জন্য শস্যকে তৈরী করে সে তখন গমকে আটায চূর্ণ করে| কিন্তু সে এটা চির কাল ধরে করে না| সে হয়তো এর ওপর দিয়ে তার ঘোড়া এবং মালবাহী গাড়ি চালিযে নিয়ে যেতে পারে কিন্তু এটা সম্পূর্ণ চূর্ণ হবে না| প্রভু তাঁর লোকদের একই ভাবে শাস্তি দিয়ে থাকেন|
