BNV : এটা দম্মেশকের জন্য দুঃখের বার্তা| প্রভু বললেন এই ঘটনাগুলি দম্মেশকে ঘটবে:“দম্মেশক এখন একটি শহর| কিন্তু এই শহর ধ্বংস হয়ে যাবে| শহরে ধ্বংসস্তূপ ছাড়া আর কিছুই থাকবে না|
KJV : The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from [being] a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

BNV : লোকরা অরোয়ের শহরগুলি ত্যাগ করে পালাবে| এই সব খালি শহরে মেষের পাল যেখানে সেখানে অবাধে ঘুরে বেড়াতে পারবে| তাদের বিরক্ত করা বা ভয় দেখানোর কেউ থাকবে না|
KJV : The cities of Aroer [are] forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make [them] afraid.
YLT : Forsaken are the cities of Aroer, For droves they are, and they have lain down, And there is none troubling.
RV : The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.

BNV : ইফ্রযিমের দুর্গ নগরীগুলি (ইস্রায়েল) ধ্বংস হয়ে যাবে| দম্মেশকের সরকার শেষ হয়ে যাবে| ইস্রায়েলে যে ঘটনা ঘটেছে অরামে তাই ঘটবে| সমস্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ লোকদের অপসারণ করা হবে|”প্রভু সর্বশক্তিমান বললেন এই ঘটনাগুলি ঘটবে|
KJV : The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts.
YLT : And ceased hath the fortress from Ephraim, And the kingdom from Damascus, And the remnant of Aram are as the honour of the sons of Israel, The affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts!

ERVEN : The fort cities of Ephraim will be destroyed. The government in Damascus will be finished. Those left in Aram will lose everything, just like the people of Israel, " says the Lord All-Powerful.

BNV : যাকোবের সমস্ত মহিমা অবদমিত হবে| তার সমৃদ্ধি ক্ষয়লাভ করবে|
KJV : And in that day it shall come to pass, [that] the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.
YLT : And it hath come to pass, in that day, Wax poor doth the honour of Jacob, And the fatness of his flesh doth wax lean.

ERVEN : "At that time Jacob's wealth will all be gone. Yes, Israel will be like a sick man who has become weak and thin.

BNV : ঐ সময়টা রফাযীম উপত্যকায় ফসল তোলার সময়ের মতো হবে| শ্রমিকরা ক্ষেত থেকে ফসল তুলে তা এক জায়গায় জড়ো করে, তারপর তারা চারা গাছগুলি থেকে শস্যের মাথা কেটে নেয এবং শস্য সংগ্রহ করে|
KJV : And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim.
YLT : And it hath come to pass, As the gathering by the reaper of the standing corn, And his arm the ears reapeth, And it hath come to pass, As the gathering of the ears in the valley of Rephaim,
RV : And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the standing corn, and his arm reapeth the ears; yea, it shall be as when one gleaneth ears in the valley of Rephaim.
RSV : And it shall be as when the reaper gathers standing grain and his arm harvests the ears, and as when one gleans the ears of grain in the Valley of Rephaim.
ASV : And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the standing grain, and his arm reapeth the ears; yea, it shall be as when one gleaneth ears in the valley of Rephaim.
ESV : And it shall be as when the reaper gathers standing grain and his arm harvests the ears, and as when one gleans the ears of grain in the Valley of Rephaim.
ERVEN : "That time will be like the grain harvest in Rephaim Valley. The workers gather the plants that grow in the field. Then they cut the heads of grain from the plants and collect the grain.

BNV : সে সময়টা জলপাই (অলিভ) সংগ্রহের কালের মতো হবে| লোকরা জলপাই গাছ থেকে জলপাই তোলে| কিন্তু কয়েকটা জলপাই সাধারণত গাছের মাথায় থেকে যায়| কিছু কিছু গাছের ডালের মাথায় চার-পাঁচটা করে জলপাই পড়ে থাকে| এখানকার শহরগুলির অবস্থাও সেরকম হবে| প্রভু সর্বশক্তিমান এই ঘটনাগুলোর কথা বললেন|
KJV : Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two [or] three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four [or] five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the LORD God of Israel.
YLT : And left in him have been gleanings, As the compassing of an olive, Two -- three berries on the top of a branch, Four -- five on the fruitful boughs, The affirmation of Jehovah, God of Israel!

ERVEN : "That time will also be like the olive harvest. People knock olives from the trees, but a few olives are usually left at the top of each tree. Four or five olives are left on some of the top branches. It will be the same for those cities," says the Lord All-Powerful.

BNV : সে সময়ে লোকরা তাদের সৃষ্টিকর্তা ঈশ্বরের খোঁজ করবেন| তাদের চোখ ইস্রায়েলের পবিত্রতমের দিকে চেয়ে থাকবে|
KJV : At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.
YLT : In that day doth man look to His Maker, Yea, his eyes to the Holy One of Israel look,
RV : In that day shall a man look unto his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.
RSV : In that day men will regard their Maker, and their eyes will look to the Holy One of Israel;

ERVEN : Then the people will look up to the one who made them. Their eyes will see the Holy One of Israel.

BNV : লোকরা তাদের তৈরী বেদীগুলোর দিকে যাবে না| তারা তাদের আশেরার খুঁটির কাছে এবং নিজেদের হাতে তৈরী সূর্য়দেবতার মূর্ত্তির কাছে বেদীতে যাবে না|
KJV : And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect [that] which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images.
YLT : And he looketh not unto the altars. The work of his own hands, And that which his own fingers made He seeth not -- the shrines and the images.
RV : And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall he have respect to that which his fingers have made, either the Asherim, or the sun-images.
RSV : they will not have regard for the altars, the work of their hands, and they will not look to what their own fingers have made, either the Asherim or the altars of incense.
ASV : And they shall not look to the altars, the work of their hands; neither shall they have respect to that which their fingers have made, either the Asherim, or the sun-images.
ESV : He will not look to the altars, the work of his hands, and he will not look on what his own fingers have made, either the Asherim or the altars of incense.
ERVEN : They will not trust in the great things they have made. They will not go to the special gardens and altars they made for false gods.

BNV : সে সময় সমস্ত দুর্গ শহর পরিত্যক্ত হবে| ঐ শহরগুলির অবস্থা ইস্রায়েলের লোকরা আসার আগে দেশের পর্বত ও জঙ্গলের পরিত্যক্ত ভূমির মতো হবে| অতীতে ইস্রায়েলের লোকদের আগমনের সময় অন্য সমস্ত লোকরা পালিয়ে গিয়েছিল| ভবিষ্যতে এই দেশ আবার পরিত্যক্ত হবে|
KJV : In that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation.
YLT : In that day are the cities of his strength As the forsaken thing of the forest, And the branch that they have left, Because of the sons of Israel, It also hath been a desolation.
RV : In that day shall his strong cities be as the forsaken places in the wood and on the mountain top, which were forsaken from before the children of Israel: and it shall be a desolation.
RSV : In that day their strong cities will be like the deserted places of the Hivites and the Amorites, which they deserted because of the children of Israel, and there will be desolation.

ERVEN : At that time all the walled cities will be empty. They will be like the mountains and the forests in the land before the Israelites came. In the past, all the people ran away because the Israelites were coming. In the future, the country will be empty again.

BNV : কারণ তোমরা তোমাদের রক্ষাকর্তা ঈশ্বরকে ভুলে গিয়েছ| ঈশ্বর যে তোমাদের নিরাপদ জায়গা তা তোমরা স্মরণ করছ না|তোমরা অনেক দূরদূরান্ত থেকে খুব ভালো জাতের দ্রাক্ষা এনেছ| কিন্তু এগুলোকে রোপণ করলে গাছগুলো জন্মাবে না|
KJV : Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:
YLT : Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, And the rock of thy strength hast not remembered, Therefore thou plantest plants of pleasantness, And with a strange slip sowest it,
RV : For thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength; therefore thou plantest pleasant plants, and settest it with strange slips:
RSV : For you have forgotten the God of your salvation, and have not remembered the Rock of your refuge; therefore, though you plant pleasant plants and set out slips of an alien god,

ESV : For you have forgotten the God of your salvation and have not remembered the Rock of your refuge; therefore, though you plant pleasant plants and sow the vine-branch of a stranger,
ERVEN : This will happen because you have forgotten the God who saves you. You have not remembered that God is your place of safety. You brought some very good grapevines from faraway places. You might plant those grapevines, but they will not grow.

BNV : এক দিন তোমরা তোমাদের দ্রাক্ষা গাছগুলোকে রোপণ করবে| এবং তাদের বড় করার চেষ্টা করবে| পরের দিন গাছগুলো বড় হতে আরম্ভ করবে| কিন্তু ফসল তোলার সময়ে তোমরা যখন দ্রাক্ষা তুলতে যাবে, দেখবে যে সব গাছগুলো মরে গেছে| কোন রোগ সব গাছকে মেরে ফেলবে|
KJV : In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: [but] the harvest [shall be] a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.
YLT : In the day thy plant thou causest to become great, And in the morning thy seed makest to flourish, A heap [is] the harvest in a day of overflowing, And of mortal pain.
RV : In the day of thy planting thou hedgest it in, and in the morning thou makest thy seed to blossom: but the harvest fleeth away in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.
RSV : though you make them grow on the day that you plant them, and make them blossom in the morning that you sow; yet the harvest will flee away in a day of grief and incurable pain.

ERVEN : You will plant your grapevines one day and try to make them grow, and the next day they will blossom. But at harvest time, you will go to gather the fruit from the plants, and you will see that everything is dead. A sickness will kill all the plants.

BNV : অনেক লোকের কান্নার রোল শোন| তারা সমুদ্রের ঢেউযের মতো, সমুদ্র জলোচ্ছাসের শব্দের মতো গর্জন করছে|
KJV : Woe to the multitude of many people, [which] make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, [that] make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!
YLT : Wo [to] the multitude of many peoples, As the sounding of seas they sound; And [to] the wasting of nations, As the wasting of mighty waters they are wasted.
RV : Ah, the uproar of many peoples, which roar like the roaring of the seas; and the rushing of nations, that rush like the rushing of mighty waters!
RSV : Ah, the thunder of many peoples, they thunder like the thundering of the sea! Ah, the roar of nations, they roar like the roaring of mighty waters!

ERVEN : Listen to all these people! Their loud crying sounds like the noise from the sea. Listen, it is like the crashing of waves in the sea.

BNV : লোকরা এই ঢেউযের মতো গর্জন করবে| কিন্তু ঈশ্বর তাদের ধমক দেবেন| তাই তারা দূরে পালাবে| তারা ঝড়ের সামনে ভূষির মতো কিংবা ঝড়ের মুখে ছোট শিকড়ওযালা গাছের মতো উড়ে যাবে|
KJV : The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but [God] shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.
YLT : Nations as the wasting of many waters are wasted, And He hath pushed against it, And it hath fled afar off, And been pursued as chaff of hills before wind, And as a rolling thing before a hurricane.

ERVEN : And like the waves, they will rush away when God speaks harshly to them. They will be like chaff blown away by the wind. They will be like tumbleweeds chased by a storm.

BNV : ঐ দিন রাতে লোকরা ভয় পাবে| সকাল হওয়ার আগেই সবাই পালিয়ে যাবে| কোন কিছুই পড়ে থাকবে না| তাই শএুরা কিছুই পাবে না| তারা আমাদের দেশে আসবে| কিন্তু দেশে তখন কিছুই থাকবে না|
KJV : And behold at eveningtide trouble; [and] before the morning he [is] not. This [is] the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.
YLT : At even-time, lo, terror, before morning it is not, This [is] the portion of our spoilers, And the lot of our plunderers!
RV : At eventide behold terror; {cf15i and} before the morning they are not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.
