URV : جب اسرائیل ابھی بچہ ہی تھا میں نے اُس سے مُحبت رکھی اور اپنے بیٹے کو مصر سے بُلایا۔
KJV : When Israel [was] a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.
YLT : Because Israel [is] a youth, and I love him, Out of Egypt I have called for My Son.
RV : When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.
RSV : When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son.
ASV : When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.

ERVEN : The Lord said, "I loved Israel when he was a child, and I called my son out of Egypt.

URV : ُانہوں نے جس قدراُن کو بُلایا
KJV : [As] they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim, and burned incense to graven images.
YLT : They have called to them rightly, They have gone from before them, To lords they do sacrifice, And to graven images they make perfume.
RV : As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto the Baalim, and burned incense to graven images.
RSV : The more I called them, the more they went from me; they kept sacrificing to the Baals, and burning incense to idols.
ASV : The more the prophets called them, the more they went from them: they sacrificed unto the Baalim, and burned incense to graven images.
ESV : The more they were called, the more they went away; they kept sacrificing to the Baals and burning offerings to idols.
ERVEN : But the more I called the Israelites, the more they left me. The Israelites gave sacrifices to the false gods and burned incense to the idols.

URV : میں نے بنی افرائیم کو چلنا سکھایا۔میں نے اُن کو گود میں اُٹھایالیکن اُنہوں نے نہ جانا کہ میں ہی نے اُن کوصحت بخشی۔
KJV : I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them.
YLT : And I have caused Ephraim to go on foot, Taking them by their arms, And they have not known that I strengthened them.
RV : Yet I taught Ephraim to go; I took them on my arms; but they knew not that I healed them.
RSV : Yet it was I who taught Ephraim to walk, I took them up in my arms; but they did not know that I healed them.
ASV : Yet I taught Ephraim to walk; I took them on my arms; but they knew not that I healed them.
ESV : Yet it was I who taught Ephraim to walk; I took them up by their arms, but they did not know that I healed them.
ERVEN : "But I was the one who taught Ephraim to walk. I took the Israelites in my arms. I healed them, but they don't know that.

URV : میں نے اُن کو انسانی رشتوں اور مُحبت کی ڈوریوں سے کھینچا۔میں اُن کے حق میں اُن کی گردن پر سے جُوا اُتارنے والوں کی مانند ہُوااور میں نے اُن کے آگے کھانا رکھّا۔
KJV : I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them.
YLT : With cords of man I do draw them, With thick cords of love, And I am to them as a raiser up of a yoke on their jaws, And I incline unto him -- I feed [him].
RV : I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love; and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat before them.
RSV : I led them with cords of compassion, with the bands of love, and I became to them as one, who eases the yoke on their jaws, and I bent down to them and fed them.

ERVEN : I led them with ropes, but they were ropes of love. I was like a person who set them free. I bent down and fed them.

URV : وہ پھر مُلک مصر میں نہ جائیں گے بلکہ اسور اُن کا بادشاہ ہو گا کیونکہ وہ واپس آنے سے انکار کرتے ہیں۔
KJV : He shall not return into the land of Egypt, but the Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused to return.
YLT : He turneth not back unto the land of Egypt, And Asshur -- he [is] his king, For they have refused to return.
RV : He shall not return into the land of Egypt; but the Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused to return.
RSV : They shall return to the land of Egypt, and Assyria shall be their king, because they have refused to return to me.
ASV : They shall not return into the land of Egypt; but the Assyrian shall be their king, because they refused to return to me.

ERVEN : "The Israelites will not go back to Egypt. The king of Assyria will become their king, because they refused to turn back to God.

URV : تلوار اُن کے شہروں پر آ پڑے گی اور اُن کے اڑینگوں کو کھا جائے گی اور یہ اُن ہی کی مشورت کا نتیجہ ہو گا۔
KJV : And the sword shall abide on his cities, and shall consume his branches, and devour [them,] because of their own counsels.
YLT : Grievous hath been the sword in his cities, And it hath ended his bars, and consumed -- from their own counsels.
RV : And the sword shall fall upon his cities, and shall consume his bars, and devour {cf15i them}, because of their own counsels.
RSV : The sword shall rage against their cities, consume the bars of their gates, and devour them in their fortresses.
ASV : And the sword shall fall upon their cities, and shall consume their bars, and devour them, because of their own counsels.

ERVEN : The sword will swing against their cities and kill their strong men. It will destroy their leaders.

URV : کیونکہ میرے لوگ مُجھ سے بر گشتگی پر آمادہ ہیں۔ باوُجُود یکہ اُنہوں نے اُن کو بُلایا کہ حق تعالٰی کی طرف رجُوع لائیں لیکن کسی نے نہ چاہا کہ اُس کی تمجید کرے۔
KJV : And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them to the most High, none at all would exalt [him. ]
YLT : And My people are hanging in suspense, about My returning, And unto the Most High they do call, Together they exalt not.
RV : And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they call them to {cf15i him that is} on high, none at all will exalt {cf15i him}.
RSV : My people are bent on turning away from me; so they are appointed to the yoke, and none shall remove it.
ASV : And my people are bent on backsliding from me: though they call them to him that is on high, none at all will exalt him.
ESV : My people are bent on turning away from me, and though they call out to the Most High, he shall not raise them up at all.
ERVEN : "My people expect me to come back. They will call to God above, but he will not help them."

URV : اے افرائیم میں تُجھ سے کیونکر دست بردار ہو جاوُں؟ اے اسرائیل میں تجھے کیونکر ترک کُروں؟میں کیونکر تجھے ادمہ کی مانند کُروںاور ضیوئیم کی مانند بناوُں؟
KJV : How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? [how] shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? [how] shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.
YLT : How do I give thee up, O Ephraim? Do I deliver thee up, O Israel? How do I make thee as Admah? Do I set thee as Zeboim? Turned in Me is My heart, kindled together have been My repentings.
RV : How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? {cf15i how} shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? {cf15i how} shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my compassions are kindled together.
RSV : How can I give you up, O Ephraim! How can I hand you over, O Israel! How can I make you like Admah! How can I treat you like Zeboiim! My heart recoils within me, my compassion grows warm and tender.
ASV : How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I cast thee off, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboiim? my heart is turned within me, my compassions are kindled together.
ESV : How can I give you up, O Ephraim? How can I hand you over, O Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? My heart recoils within me; my compassion grows warm and tender.
ERVEN : "Ephraim, I don't want to give you up. Israel, I want to protect you. I don't want to make you like Admah. I don't want to make you like Zeboiim. I am changing my mind. My love for you is too strong.

URV : میں اپنے قہر کی شدت کے مُطابق عمل نہیں کُروں گا۔میں ہرگز افرائیم کو ہلاک نہ کُروں گا کیونکہ میں انسان نہیں۔ خُدا ہُوں۔ تیرےدرمیان سکُونت کرنے والا قُدّوس اور میں قہر کے ساتھ نہیں آوُں گا۔
KJV : I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I [am] God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.
YLT : I do not the fierceness of My anger, I turn not back to destroy Ephraim, For God I [am], and not a man. In thy midst the Holy One, and I enter not in enmity,
RV : I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.
RSV : I will not execute my fierce anger, I will not again destroy Ephraim; for I am God and not man, the Holy One in your midst, and I will not come to destroy.
ASV : I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee; and I will not come in wrath.
ESV : I will not execute my burning anger; I will not again destroy Ephraim; for I am God and not a man, the Holy One in your midst, and I will not come in wrath.
ERVEN : I will not let my terrible anger win. I will not destroy Ephraim again. I am God and not a human. I am the Holy One. I am with you. I will not show my anger.

URV : وہ خُداوند کی پیروی کریں گے جو شیر ببر کی طرح گرجے گا کیونکہ وہ گرجے گا اور اُس کے فرزند مغرب کی طرف سے کانپتے ہُوئے آئیں گے۔
KJV : They shall walk after the LORD: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west.
YLT : After Jehovah they go -- as a lion He roareth, When He doth roar, then tremble do the sons from the west.
RV : They shall walk after the LORD, who shall roar like a lion: for he shall roar, and the children shall come trembling from the west.
RSV : They shall go after the LORD, he will roar like a lion; yea, he will roar, and his sons shall come trembling from the west;
ASV : They shall walk after Jehovah, who will roar like a lion; for he will roar, and the children shall come trembling from the west.
ESV : They shall go after the LORD; he will roar like a lion; when he roars, his children shall come trembling from the west;
ERVEN : I will roar like a lion. I will roar, and my children will come and follow me. My children will come from the west, shaking with fear.

KJV : They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, saith the LORD.
YLT : They tremble as a sparrow out of Egypt, And as a dove out of the land of Asshur, And I have caused them to dwell in their own houses, An affirmation of Jehovah.
RV : They shall come trembling as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will make them to dwell in their houses, saith the LORD.
RSV : they shall come trembling like birds from Egypt, and like doves from the land of Assyria; and I will return them to their homes, says the LORD.
ASV : They shall come trembling as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria; and I will make them to dwell in their houses, saith Jehovah.
ESV : they shall come trembling like birds from Egypt, and like doves from the land of Assyria, and I will return them to their homes, declares the LORD.
ERVEN : They will come from Egypt, shaking like birds. They will come shaking like doves from the land of Assyria, and I will take them back home." This is what the Lord said.

KJV : Ephraim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints.
YLT : Compassed Me with feigning hath Ephraim, And with deceit the house of Israel. And Judah again is ruling with God, And with the Holy Ones [is] faithful!
RV : Ephraim compasseth me about with falsehood, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the Holy One.
RSV : Ephraim has encompassed me with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit; but Judah is still known by God, and is faithful to the Holy One.

ERVEN : "Ephraim surrounded me with false gods. The people of Israel turned against me. {And they were destroyed!} But Judah still walks with El. Judah is true to the holy ones. "
