BNV : ওহে অবুঝ গালাতীয়ের লোকেরা! তোমাদের কে যাদু করেছে? ক্রুশের ওপর যীশু খ্রীষ্টের মৃত্যুর কথা তোমাদের তো স্পষ্ট করেই বোঝানো হয়েছিল৷
KJV : O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
YLT : O thoughtless Galatians, who did bewitch you, not to obey the truth -- before whose eyes Jesus Christ was described before among you crucified?
RV : O foolish Galatians, who did bewitch you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly set forth crucified?
RSV : O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified?
ASV : O foolish Galatians, who did bewitch you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly set forth crucified?
ESV : O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified.
ERVEN : You people in Galatia are so foolish! Why do I say this? Because I told you very clearly about the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. But now it seems as though you have let someone use their magical powers to make you forget.

BNV : কেবল আমার এই কথাটির জবাব দাও: তোমরা কিভাবে পবিত্র আত্মা পেয়েছিলে? বিধি-ব্যবস্থা পালনের দ্বারা কি পেয়েছিলে? না সুসমাচার শুনে ও তাতে বিশ্বাস করাতেই পবিত্র আত্মা পেয়েছিল?
KJV : This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
YLT : this only do I wish to learn from you -- by works of law the Spirit did ye receive, or by the hearing of faith?
RV : This only would I learn from you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
RSV : Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law, or by hearing with faith?

ERVEN : Tell me this one thing: How did you receive the Spirit? Did you receive the Spirit by following the law? No, you received the Spirit because you heard the message about Jesus and believed it.

BNV : তোমরা কি এতই অবোধ য়ে, পবিত্র আত্মায় খ্রীষ্টীয় জীবন শুরু করে এখন তা স্থুল দৈহিক শক্তির ওপর নির্ভর করে শেষ করতে চাও?
KJV : Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
YLT : so thoughtless are ye! having begun in the Spirit, now in the flesh do ye end?
RV : Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now perfected in the flesh?
RSV : Are you so foolish? Having begun with the Spirit, are you now ending with the flesh?

ERVEN : You began your life in Christ with the Spirit. Now do you try to complete it by your own power? That is foolish.

BNV : তোমরা কি বৃথাই এত রকম অভিজ্ঞতার মধ্যে দিয়ে গেছ? আমি আশা করি তা বৃথা হবে না৷
KJV : Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if [it be] yet in vain.
YLT : so many things did ye suffer in vain! if, indeed, even in vain.
RV : Did ye suffer so many things in vain? if it be indeed in vain.
RSV : Did you experience so many things in vain? -- if it really is in vain.
ASV : Did ye suffer so many things in vain? if it be indeed in vain.
ESV : Did you suffer so many things in vain- if indeed it was in vain?
ERVEN : You have experienced many things. Were all those experiences wasted? I hope they were not wasted!

BNV : তোমরা বিধি-ব্যবস্থা পালন করেছিলে বলেই কি ঈশ্বর তোমাদের পবিত্র আত্মা দিয়েছিলেন এবং তোমাদের মধ্যে অলৌকিক কাজ করেছিলেন, না তোমরা সুসমাচার শুনে বিশ্বাস করেছিলে বলে?
KJV : He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, [doeth he it] by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
YLT : He, therefore, who is supplying to you the Spirit, and working mighty acts among you -- by works of law or by the hearing of faith [is it]?
RV : He therefore that supplieth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, {cf15i doeth he it} by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

ERVEN : Does God give you the Spirit because you follow the law? Does God work miracles among you because you follow the law? No, God gives you his Spirit and works miracles among you because you heard the message about Jesus and believed it.

BNV : অব্রাহামের সম্পর্কে শাস্ত্র য়েমন বলে: ‘অব্রাহাম ঈশ্বরের ওপর বিশ্বাস করেছিলেন এবং ঈশ্বর তাঁর বিশ্বাসকে স্বীকৃতি দিয়েছিলেন; তার ফলে ঈশ্বরের সাক্ষাতে অব্রাহাম ধার্মিক প্রতিপন্ন হয়েছিলেন৷’
KJV : Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
YLT : according as Abraham did believe God, and it was reckoned to him -- to righteousness;
RV : Even as Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness.
RSV : Thus Abraham "believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness."

ERVEN : The Scriptures say the same thing about Abraham. "Abraham believed God, and because of this faith he was accepted as one who is right with God."

BNV : তোমাদের জানা ভাল, য়ে যাঁরা বিশ্বাসের পথে চলে তারাই অব্রাহামের প্রকৃত সন্তান৷
KJV : Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
YLT : know ye, then, that those of faith -- these are sons of Abraham,
RV : Know therefore that they which be of faith, the same are sons of Abraham.
RSV : So you see that it is men of faith who are the sons of Abraham.

BNV : পবিত্র শাস্ত্রে এবিষয়ে আগেই লেখা ছিল য়ে, অইহুদী লোকদের ঈশ্বর তাদের বিশ্বাসের দ্বারা ধার্মিক প্রতিপন্ন করবেন৷ আগে থেকেই এই সুসমাচার অব্রাহামকে জানিয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছিল! ‘অব্রাহাম সমস্ত জাতি তোমার মাধ্যমে আশীর্বাদ পাবে৷’
KJV : And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, [saying,] In thee shall all nations be blessed.
YLT : and the Writing having foreseen that by faith God doth declare righteous the nations did proclaim before the good news to Abraham --
RV : And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand unto Abraham, {cf15i saying}, In thee shall all the nations be blessed.

ERVEN : The Scriptures told what would happen in the future. These writings said that God would make the non-Jewish people right through their faith. God told this Good News to Abraham before it happened. God said to Abraham, "I will use you to bless all the people on earth."

BNV : অব্রাহাম বিশ্বাস করে য়েমন আশীর্বাদ পেয়েছেন তেমনি য়ে সমস্ত লোক এখন বিশ্বাস করছে তারাও সেই আশীর্বাদ লাভ করছে৷
KJV : So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
YLT : `Blessed in thee shall be all the nations;` so that those of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham,
RV : So then they which be of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.
RSV : So then, those who are men of faith are blessed with Abraham who had faith.
ASV : So then they that are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.

ERVEN : Abraham believed this, and because he believed, he was blessed. All people who believe are blessed the same as Abraham was.

BNV : যাঁরা ঈশ্বরের সামনে ধার্মিক প্রতিপন্ন হতে বিধি-ব্যবস্থা পালনের ওপর নির্ভর করে, তাদের ওপর অভিশাপ থাকে৷ কারণ শাস্ত্র বলে: ‘বিধি-ব্যবস্থায় য়ে সকল লেখা আছে তার সব কটি য়ে পালন না করে সে শাপগ্রস্ত!’
KJV : For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
YLT : for as many as are of works of law are under a curse, for it hath been written, `Cursed [is] every one who is not remaining in all things that have been written in the Book of the Law -- to do them,`

BNV : এখন এটা পরিষ্কার য়ে বিধি-ব্যবস্থার দ্বারা ঈশ্বরের কাছে ধার্মিক প্রতিপন্ন হওয়া যায় না৷ কারণ শাস্ত্র বলে: ‘ধার্মিক ব্যক্তি বিশ্বাসের জন্যই বাঁচবে৷’
KJV : But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, [it is] evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
YLT : and that in law no one is declared righteous with God, is evident, because `The righteous by faith shall live;`
RV : Now that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, is evident: for, The righteous shall live by faith;

ERVEN : So it is clear that no one can be made right with God by the law. The Scriptures say, "The one who is right with God by faith will live forever."

BNV : কিন্তু বিধি-ব্যবস্থার সঙ্গে বিশ্বাসের কোন সম্পর্ক নেই, বরং শাস্ত্র বলে, ‘য়ে বিধি-ব্যবস্থা পালন করে, সে তার মধ্য দিয়েই জীবন পাবে৷’
KJV : And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
YLT : and the law is not by faith, but -- `The man who did them shall live in them.`

ERVEN : The law does not depend on faith. No, it says that the only way a person will find life by the law is to obey its commands.

BNV : বিধি-ব্যবস্থা আমাদের ওপর য়ে অভিশাপ চাপিয়ে দিয়েছে তার থেকে খ্রীষ্ট আমাদের উদ্ধার করেছেন৷ খ্রীষ্ট আমাদের স্থানে দাঁড়িয়ে নিজের ওপর সেই অভিশাপ গ্রহণ করলেন৷ কারণ শাস্ত্র বলছে: ‘যার দেহ গাছে টাঙ্গানো হয় সে শাপগ্রস্ত৷’
KJV : Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that hangeth on a tree:
YLT : Christ did redeem us from the curse of the law, having become for us a curse, for it hath been written, `Cursed is every one who is hanging on a tree,`

ERVEN : The law says we are under a curse for not always obeying it. But Christ took away that curse. He changed places with us and put himself under that curse. The Scriptures say, "Anyone who is hung on a tree is under a curse."

BNV : খ্রীষ্ট এই কাজ সম্পন্ন করলেন যাতে য়ে আশীর্বাদ অব্রাহাম লাভ করেছিলেন তা খ্রীষ্টের মাধ্যমে অইহুদীরাও লাভ করে, এবং য়েন বিশ্বাসের দ্বারা আমরা সেই প্রতিশ্রুত আত্মাকে পাই৷
KJV : That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
YLT : that to the nations the blessing of Abraham may come in Christ Jesus, that the promise of the Spirit we may receive through the faith.

ERVEN : Because of what Jesus Christ did, the blessing God promised to Abraham was given to all people. Christ died so that by believing in him we could have the Spirit that God promised.

BNV : আমার ভাই ও বোনেরা, আমি তোমাদের কাছে সাধারণ একটি উদাহরণ দিচ্ছি: দুজনের মধ্যে একটা চুক্তির কথা চিন্তা কর৷ সেই চুক্তি একবার বৈধ হয়ে গেলে কেউ তা বাতিল করতে পারে না বা তাতে কোন কিছু য়োগ করতে পারে না৷
KJV : Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though [it be] but a man’s covenant, yet [if it be] confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.
YLT : Brethren, as a man I say [it], even of man a confirmed covenant no one doth make void or doth add to,
RV : Brethren, I speak after the manner of men: Though it be but a man-s covenant, yet when it hath been confirmed, no one maketh it void, or addeth thereto.
RSV : To give a human example, brethren: no one annuls even a man's will, or adds to it, once it has been ratified.

ERVEN : Brothers and sisters, let me give you an example from everyday life: Think about an agreement that one person makes with another. After that agreement is made official, no one can stop it or add anything to it, and no one can ignore it.

BNV : ঈশ্বর, অব্রাহাম ও তাঁর বংশধরকে আশীর্বাদের প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিলেন৷ লক্ষ্য কর য়ে এখানে ‘বংশধর’ বলা হয়েছে, ‘বংশধরদের’ নয়, য়েন অনেককে নয় বরং একজনকে অর্থাত্ খ্রীষ্টকে নির্দেশ করা হয়৷
KJV : Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
YLT : and to Abraham were the promises spoken, and to his seed; He doth not say, `And to seeds,` as of many, but as of one, `And to thy seed,` which is Christ;

RSV : Now the promises were made to Abraham and to his offspring. It does not say, "And to offsprings," referring to many; but, referring to one, "And to your offspring," which is Christ.

ESV : Now the promises were made to Abraham and to his offspring. It does not say, "And to offsprings," referring to many, but referring to one, "And to your offspring," who is Christ.
ERVEN : God made promises to Abraham and his Descendant. The Scripture does not say, "and to your descendants." That would mean many people. But it says, "and to your Descendant." That means only one, and that one is Christ.

BNV : আমি এটাই বলতে চাই য়ে: ঈশ্বর অব্রাহামের সঙ্গেচুক্তি করেছিলেন, আর তার চারশো তিরিশ বছর পরে বিধি-ব্যবস্থা এসেছিল৷ তাই বিধি-ব্যবস্থা এসে পূর্বেই য়ে চুক্তি ঈশ্বরের সাথে অব্রাহামের হয়েছিল তা বাতিল করতে পারে না৷
KJV : And this I say, [that] the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
YLT : and this I say, A covenant confirmed before by God to Christ, the law, that came four hundred and thirty years after, doth not set aside, to make void the promise,

ERVEN : This is what I mean: The agreement that God gave to Abraham was made official long before the law came. The law came 430 years later. So the law could not take away the agreement and change God's promise.

BNV : যদি উত্তরাধিকার বিধি-ব্যবস্থার ওপর নির্ভর করত তাহলে তা আর প্রতিশ্রুতির ওপর নির্ভরশীল হত না; কিন্তু ঈশ্বর মুক্ত হস্তে এই উত্তরাধিকার অব্রাহামকে তাঁর প্রতিশ্রুতির মধ্যে দিয়েছিলেন৷
KJV : For if the inheritance [be] of the law, [it is] no more of promise: but God gave [it] to Abraham by promise.
YLT : for if by law [be] the inheritance, [it is] no more by promise, but to Abraham through promise did God grant [it].

ERVEN : Can following the law give us the blessing God promised? If we could receive it by following the law, then it would not be God's promise that brings it to us. But God freely gave his blessings to Abraham through the promise God made.

BNV : তাহলে বিধি-ব্যবস্থা কিসের জন্য? অপরাধ কি এটা বোঝাবার জন্য বিধি-ব্যবস্থা সেই বংশধর (অব্রাহামের) আসা পর্যন্ত য়োগ করা হল, যাকে সেই প্রতিশ্রুতি দেওয়া হয়েছিল৷ মানুষের কাছে সেই বিধি-ব্যবস্থা পৌঁছে দিতে স্বর্গদূতরা মোশিকে মধ্যস্তরূপে ব্যবহার করেছিলেন৷
KJV : Wherefore then [serveth] the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; [and it was] ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

ERVEN : So what was the law for? The law was given to show the wrong things people do. The law would continue until the special Descendant of Abraham came. This is the Descendant mentioned in the promise, which came directly from God. But the law was given through angels, and the angels used Moses as a mediator to give the law to the people.

BNV : কিন্তু কেবলমাত্র একজন থাকলে কোন মধ্যস্থের দরকার হয় না; আর ঈশ্বর এক৷
KJV : Now a mediator is not [a mediator] of one, but God is one.

BNV : তাহলে কি বিধি-ব্যবস্থা ঈশ্বরের প্রতিশ্রুতির বিরুদ্ধে? নিশ্চয়ই নয়! যদি এমন বিধি-ব্যবস্থা থাকত যা মানুষকে জীবন দান করতে পারে, তবে বিধি-ব্যবস্থা পালন করেই আমরা ধার্মিক হতে পারতাম৷
KJV : [Is] the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
YLT : the law, then, [is] against the promises of God? -- let it not be! for if a law was given that was able to make alive, truly by law there would have been the righteousness,

ERVEN : Does this mean that the law works against God's promises? Of course not. The law was never God's way of giving new life to people. If it were, then we could be made right with God by following the law.

YLT : but the Writing did shut up the whole under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ may be given to those believing.

ERVEN : But this is not possible. The Scriptures put the whole world in prison under the control of sin, so that the only way for people to get what God promised would be through faith in Jesus Christ. It is given to those who believe in him.

BNV : এই বিশ্বাস আসার আগে আমরা বিধি-ব্যবস্থার অধীনে বন্দী ছিলাম; আমাদের কোন স্বাধীনতা ছিল না, য়ে পর্যন্ত না ঈশ্বর আমাদের কাছে বিশ্বাসের সেই কথা জানালেন৷
KJV : But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
YLT : And before the coming of the faith, under law we were being kept, shut up to the faith about to be revealed,

BNV : খ্রীষ্টের কাছে আসার জন্য বিধি-ব্যবস্থাই ছিল আমাদের কঠোর অভিভাবক, য়েন বিশ্বাসের মাধ্যমে আমরা ঈশ্বরের সাক্ষাতে ধার্মিক বলে গণিত হই৷
KJV : Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster [to bring us] unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
YLT : so that the law became our child-conductor -- to Christ, that by faith we may be declared righteous,
RV : So that the law hath been our tutor {cf15i to bring us} unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

KJV : But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

BNV : তোমরা খ্রীষ্টের, তাই তোমরা অব্রাহামের বংশধর; সুতরাং অব্রাহামের কাছে ঈশ্বর য়ে প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছিলেন তোমরাও তার উত্তরাধিকারী হবে৷
KJV : And if ye [be] Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
YLT : and if ye [are] of Christ then of Abraham ye are seed, and according to promise -- heirs.
