ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನೂ ಹುಚ್ಚುತನವನ್ನೂ ಮೂಢತೆಯನ್ನೂ ನೋಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡೆನು; ಅರಸನ ತರುವಾಯ ಬರುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಏನು ಮಾಡಾನು? ಮೊದಲಿದ್ದದ್ದು ಆಗಲೇ ನಡೆಯಿತು.

And I turned myself to behold wisdom, and madness, and folly: for what [can] the man [do] that cometh after the king? [even] that which hath been already done.
