আমি তাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের য়ে দেশ দেব বলে প্রতিজ্ঞা করেছিলাম, আমি তাদের সেই দেশে নিয়ে যাব| সেই দেশ উত্তম বিষয়ে পরিপূর্ণ আর তারা যা চায তাই-ই খেতে পেলে তারা হৃষ্টপুষ্ট হবে কিন্তু তখন তারা ঘুরে বসবে এবং অন্য দেবতার সেবা করবে| তারা আমার কাছ থেকে দূরে সরে যাবে এবং আমার নিয়ম ভেঙ্গে ফেলবে|

For when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers, that floweth with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant.
